A Voice to be Heard

The xenobiologist had survived through his continued presence within the twi'lek communities. A fact that did not entirely surprise Lyari in the slightest with how he had spoken of his ventures. Despite her not asking. Or caring. Neither fact stopping the man from mentioning things that had nothing to do with the planet he was currently walking upon.
The only thing of note worth speaking about was the slow spin the planet now had to it.
The different stellar bodies that shone on the night side of the planet. Or at least what used to be the night side of the planet. The communities that had made up the equatorial forest zones were already sharing issues of plant life and fauna being particularly disrupted by this change. The larger predators of their planet becoming more territorial and outright aggressive for no apparent reason at times. Plants beginning to wither or bloom out of sync with their usual timetables.
All concerning details when paired with the fact that the atmosphere seemed... humid.
Dalen had been more than eager to explain goings on with the galaxy, trying to intrigue her towards the bigger picture. His attempts met with the roughest conditions of the Twi'lek daily life that her group endured to preserve their place in the galaxy. Reminding him that he was there for her people. Not to wash away what had happened with news from elsewhere.
Aside from the galactic bodies changing places anyway.
A fact that seemed entirely impossible. Far fetched and believing he had ingested something he shouldn't have only to find he had in fact not. And was completely within his right mind as the medicine woman departed. Leaving Lyari with far more questions than answers as she stared up at the sun.
Was this sun their own? Did the goddess still walk beside them? The shadows being drawn into a long line was not something she was used to seeing unless she was closer to the equator.
Staring now as the village and the places around her seemed almost foreign suddenly with the revelation of the galactic shift around them. And that the planet was changing with them still on it.
<I do not know what we are to do.> She sighed, sitting on the outcrop of rocks as she watched the villagers below. A child waving to her familiar form before scampering off.
How could one protect the people when the planet had become on of the things you had to fight? It was easy to fight Imperials, Mandalorians, Jedi. They were physical beings that could be killed. Had a heart that beat and could be reached with one's own hands. Could be pushed from the ground they wished to claim for themselves.
But their home?
Her hands rubbed her temples in thought. <Goddess help us.>
Planning. Strategy. Survival. All things the Twi'leks held in their repertoire of skills for eons now. Had forged themselves against the anvil of a galaxy set on taking without giving. But she was not the one to figure out this problem. Not alone at least. Another sigh as she glanced to one of her lieutenants waiting for her just beyond sight of the village.
|Gather siblings| her lekku signed as the lieutenant moved in silence to sound for a meeting. Her thoughts settling on figuring out a larger problem than just simply trying to exist in spite of the powers around them. Now they had to figure out if the off-worlder spoke the truth. And if he did indeed speak the truth, how to adapt to this new truth.
