The Sith Path - Chapter I: "?"

Abbey Ainsley

Weird mess of Jedi
Abbey stared out to one of the many Korriban moons. She wasn't ready. She wasn't even trusted enough to be ready. "Guess nobody really gets to be ready for anything, huh?" She asked herself silently as she parted her gaze from the moon and concentrated on the dark red ground in front of her, in front of a small homestead outside of a great training temple. There were noises, but nothing that concerned her. She was finally sure this is what she wanted. All that rage, that pain, the hatred and power she desired could be put for a good use.
The young redhead already knew of what Jedi could do, and what they were capable of. She used to be one, almost a Padawan. Her lightsaber swung at her hip, hidden in common grey clothes of the baggy sort. Her face was dirtied of travel and small, useless adventures that barely paid for the next ticket, and her attitude at a sorrowed and confused state. Her common form began toward the temple, in search of guidance or a mentor to assist her into the dark side of the Force.

More like the remnants of the Temple.

Korriban itself had been abandoned by the Sith for some time. After the One Sith had advanced and taken nearly all control of the core worlds, it became clear that Korriban was an unnecessary planet to their control. So it was mostly abandoned. Which was why Vaulkhar was here After following an acquaintance of his here, in order to assure their loyalty to their cause, he decided to stick around. There was something about the planet that seemed almost irresistible, but he couldn't quite put a finger on it. At least, not until a week into his time on the planet. During a rather rough night of unrest, he was given a vision. The only one he had ever had for that matter. That being a vision of a young, red-headed woman seeking guidance. Guidance he felt he was capable of giving. So here he sat, waiting within the remnants of the Sith's once-greatest Academy upon the planet.

The blind man sat centered within the remnants, deep in thought and deep in meditation. He radiated the force, more specifically, the dark side. It could be felt for miles (kilometers) around the temple. Any capable of feeling the force would feel it and likely be drawn to the beacon that radiated from the temple.

There was silence before Abbey for a long time. She didn't mind it, but it was strange not having the crowd of bustling citizens bother her. After a while, probably a few more minutes, she rose and began to walk toward the Dark side Force ball she felt all the time. It was good to keep people waiting. Made them have something else to be upset about.
Her nimble form made it into the remains of the temple, though not bothering to care either way about the condition. It was rough to find this planet, and even more so to be sure there was still something to do there. As she breathed the strange air, she looked around, using only some parts of the Force to guide her. In time she found him, and it was without doubt he was expecting. Abbey's own Force signature was nothing hidden. She was confused, but did contain most of her knowledge on the light side. She felt anger, pain, and somehow managed to keep it balanced to this point.

"Are you just going to sit there?"

The approach of Abbey did not warrant a response from Vaulkhar, as he retained his meditative pose. He could feel her, there torrent of emotion that was crashing within her, simply by her visit to Korriban and his presence. It was a state of confusion and curiosity that could easily be manipulated beyond that of normal. It brought a grin to his face just to think about what he could do. The vision had come true, the presence of this confused soul had found her way to him on this cursed planet and he could not say he wasn't happy. It was the opposite really. He was quite excited to be brought to a student through the force such as this. His eyes slowly opened, revealing the dull blindness beneath them.

Her words were filled with impatience, or at least he felt they were. Much like him, she was likely called here by the force and standing before what could become a teacher with nothing happening, was most certainly infuriating to some. The grin returned to himself as he she spoke. That impatience he felt was indeed there. And much like her anger and confusion, he could manipulate it. With a deep breath, Vaulkhar slowly stood to his feet, hands behind his back, locked together.

"Why are you here, stranger?"

"You know why I'm here. I'm not that stupid." Abbey said with a small hiss in her voice. Her eyebrows pressed together in slight anger at his ignorance, or perhaps it was something else. Trickery to get her patience run. Maybe some other third thing. "Why don't you just point me in the right direction or do something yourself? Make yourself useful in this... yucky, little place."
Her words were obviously young. It didn't take a Force user to realize she didn't exactly know her place. She didn't know why, fully, she was where she was.
@Vaulkhar

There was an air of confidence around Vaulkhar, that was easily read from his posture. Along with that confidence came comfort. Standing before the young Abbey, he couldn't help but chuckle. She reminded him of himself when he was younger. He remembered the impatience and anger that followed training with the One Sith. The countless hours spent beating upon one's peers and then being reprimanded for such actions. The memories of standing before instructors that thought nothing of him in order to shape a killing machine. Every second of every day, hell itself within an even more hellish galaxy. She was right, for the most part. Vaulkhar knew why he was here, but he didn't want to outright tell her, at least not yet. He needed her to understand completely.

"I will ask again, girl." Vaulkhar crossed his arms over his chest, brow perked up as that smile tugged at his lips. "The Force has guided you to Korriban, but why? What drove you to follow it?"

The red haired girl felt a deeper scowl pulling her lips into an even more unpleased face. This man, for whatever his tricks were, was annoying. "If this is some type of idiot proof test I clearly surpass the measures. You're going to train me to become one with the Dark side of the Force." Abbey said without a stutter or hint of hesitation. She didn't allow for his departure to be a cognitive option at this point. She had been annoyed enough.

Vaulkhar's eye twitched lightly, clearly in annoyance. He stepped closer towards her, his hands still behind his back. He stared into the woman's eyes, his own gaze an angry orange color, dripping with the Dark Side of the force. His pale skin was shrouded in shadows within the chamber and his long, black hair hung loose around him, giving his visage somewhat of a ghostly appearance. His annoyance became clear as he stared the woman down, his breathing seeming to almost cease entirely. And just as it all came, it vanished. His chest suddenly rose in laughter and said laughter lasted for several seconds. As he eventually calmed himself and made eye contact with her once more, his blind gaze looking into her own, he clearly was not laughing at her. The situation was simply funny to him.

"Listen my dear, I was led here through a vision of the Force. That is true. But there is no guarantee I will teach you. So I must ask, as it is important, what drove you away from the light side? What drove you to come to this dangerous planet? There is more than a desire to be taught, I'm sure." Vaulkhar's words were heavy with the force and clearly meant to draw emotion out from the girl. His subtle usage of the force was meant to simply to push at her emotions and pull at them. He wanted her to confess as to what drove her here, and it was clear he would not budge until it was given to him. "I am a simple man, answer my questions and you will be given what you desire."

Abbey felt herself became more frustrated. She quickly stored it aside and closed her eyes, and for several moments kept quiet. Finally, just when it seemed she would leave, she spoke up. "Jedi's try to limit you in your powers. They're afraid of what potential you have, and what you can do for the galaxy. I want to change it. I want to be able to finally mold people like clay... I-I need your help. That's why I came here."

Abbey finished with a small gulp of fear. She couldn't keep her upright attitude any longer. It was starting to seep out of her again. Her red hair parted lightly in the temple's shade, giving her more of an innocent look though it did not help her case of pleading. It was curly, and brought out her dark green eyes just barely. "I want to be able to make a change." Abbey whispered.
@Vaulkhar

Vaulkhar began to stride forward towards the girl, looking over her through the Force. He could feel her fear beginning to seep out from her being once more. He was glad she was willing to admit to herself how she truly felt, as it would only bode well for her growth as a Sith. As he neared her, he reached out and moved to gently set his right arm; which was clearly cybernetic, onto her left shoulder. A rather warm grin spread across his face, something that usually would not be seen by someone of his standing with the Force.

"I am glad you have the desire to do something for the galaxy. And I am glad you accept the weakness of the Jedi." After that, Vaulkhar took his hand back and returned it to it's place behind his back. "I am Vaulkhar, dark side practitioner and a Prince of the Black Empire. I believe we are here so I can take you under my wing and train you, miss. Does that interest you?"
