Approved NPC The Silver Surfers

Status
Not open for further replies.
Name: Silver Surfers (66th Cavalry Regiment)

Intent: To create an effective and unique light cavalry unit.

Affiliation: Silver Jedi, Army of Light

Availability: Uncommon

Quality: C

Type: Light Cavalry

Strength: Typically about 100 units in a company, 2000 units total.

Description:

The 66th Cavalry Regiment, better known as the Silver Surfers, is a motorized infantry unit of Ranger biots meant for high-speed maneuver warfare and anti-vehicle combat. Each biot uses skimboards to quickly traverse the battlefield while manning automatic weapons, flamethrowers, or launcher style platforms like the PLX-1 to quickly dispatch groups of enemies.

The brainchild of the Jedi Watchman and Shadow operative Arisa Yune, they were developed as one of her solutions to countering the hordes of graug, zombies, sithspawn, and other minions commonly deployed by the Sith in their campaigns against the Silver Jedi. With infantry on skimboards, they could rapidly kite their targets while picking them off at a safe range.

There is no special training regiment for the biots, as they can be simply programmed to fulfill a particular mission role immediately via their cranial uplink. Their particular programming covers basic infantry tactics, cavalry tactics (modified to exploit the full capabilities of the skimboard with dazzling ‘slasher’ style maneuvers), anti-vehicle warfare, and combined arms assaults.

Apologies for the delay.

Intent is missing from your template. Please include this bit as it is an important one.

Strength is meant to indicate the total number of each unit, not the total number of all the units combined. Availability is the indicator for the total number, as it suggests how many such units exist. Please edit the number to unit size (should not exceed 150). But feel free to leave in 2000 as their total number in the description, if you like.

With those edits in place, this looks good to go to me!
