Description: Rising above Teths’ jungle, the Silent Temple is nestled into a large crevice on great grey cliff, carved from the cliff itself, its colouration and the fact that nature has been allowed to reclaim much of its surface means that the Temple is well camouflaged.

The Silent Temple is not a Jedi temple as such, but a sanctuary for those granted access. Be it a brief respite required from the war torn galaxy or somewhere to lay low for a time.

POINTS OF INTEREST

Hangar
The Temple’s Hangar is only small, large enough for no more than five personal transports. It stretches below the atrium, spanning the full width of the temple and is concealed by a curtain of vines. Aside from flying straight through them, with the risk of damaging them and incurring Rosa’s roth, the hangar can be access with a security code that activates metal arms to draw the vines aside to allow easy access.

The Atrium/Temple Gardens
The temples topmost level is adorned with a large glass dome, surrounded by four tall towers. The glass dome allows light to spill into the large atrium beneath that is full of flower beds and vegetable patches, providing a calm place to meditate as well as help supply the Temple kitchen. All the upper entrances to the temple lead to the atrium meaning it is normally the first part of the Temple visitors get to see and as such, it is taken great care of. From the atrium one can access the rest of the temple, either by one of the two turbo lifts, or the single door at the rear of the atrium.

The Control Chamber
Located at the center of the temple, the control chamber has recently been refurbished by Kaili Talith and controls all of the temples automated systems, from its communications to the watering system in the gardens. This is also the central hub for security camera placed in and around the temple, giving the occupants a 360 degree view of what may be coming towards them.

The Conference Room
Just off the atrium the conference room is a large circular room with many rows of staggered benches rising above a large holoprojector. The benches are also equipped with holoprojectors allowing for meetings to be conducted even if people can’t be there in person. It is open for use of anyone who visits the temple.

The Dormitories
Two levels have been refurbished and are dedicated to housing its visitors and permanent residents. Those on the outer wall have open terraced balconies granting them a view over the jungle and are normally taken by the more permanent residents I.E. Seydon and Rosa have one of these rooms as one of their many homesteads. All rooms are equipped with the basics; a bedroom, bathroom, a basic kitchen and a lounges. Some quarters have been joined to allow for families to reside their, consisting of two separate bedrooms, a shared bathroom and a lounge. There are also simpler quarters available for those just looking for a bunk and somewhere to wash.

Communal Area’s
Between the two dormitory levels is a large communal area, equipped with an open kitchen and dining space for those who don’t want to eat alone or have not got the equipment to cook in their quarters. As well as this there is a comfy seating area with a large holoscreen with access to all the latest holotv and films and a soft play area for younger children.

Training Rooms
Adjacent to the communal area are two large training rooms and a small firing range, allowing for those of all skills to take time to brush off their skills and learn new ones.

The Medical Centre
Located in the lower levels, the medical centre has fairly basic equipment and medical supplies to hand. There are only three bacta tanks available so the Temple is not equipped to handle a large amount of trauma cases but will always do their best to assist. There are three medical droids on hand to assist with any treatments and those who have their own skill at treating wounds are welcome to help themselves to the supplies needed.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Once upon a time, it is believed that the silent Temple may have been a stronghold for a hutt during the era of the Old Republic, however, there has been very little records found of this time and as such there is little that can be told of its life prior to and during the 400 year darkness.

During the time of the new Republics expansion across the core and its war with the Sith Empire, the temple was rediscovered by Qae Shena, a nautolan, who, like many of his close friends, had vetoed the Republic and the Jedi Order due to their increasing aggressive tendencies that clashed with their view of what it meant to be a Jedi. He called together a group of like minded Jedi and together they formed the Silent Conclave. Among this group was Jorus Merril, Jaxton Ravos, Seydon Gunn, Rosa Gunn (then Mazhar) and the now deceased Boolon Murr. They created the Articles, a code of the own design for them to live by that dedicated them to protecting those who could not protect themselves and aiding those in need.

As time passed on, the Silent Conclave grew and expanded, coming to be known as the Levantine Sanctum. Due to its sudden growth, it was necessary to move from Teth and towards what has now become Silver Jedi territory and as such the temple was left abandoned. Qae Shena was later killed in battle.

Qae left behind a trail, however, that later brought his apprentice to the Temple. Discovering its many hidden secrets, some left by the dead and gone nautolan. Teio became caretaker to the Temple, joined by another in later months. Together they cared for and restored much of the temple, discovering archives hidden within its depths. While Teio driftted away as the force called him, Jyn remained, eventually bringing the Je'daii to the Temple. However, with the restoration of Aurum, the Je'daii were drawn away again, returning to their place of old and leaving the Temple to once more fall into disarray.

After several years, the Temple has been left untouched, until recent months. Establishing the Boolon Foundation, Rosa Gunn set out to the Temple with the intent of refurbishing and reestablishing it for what it had been before; a sanctuary for any looking to escape the turmoil of the Galaxy around them. With the help of Kaili Talith, the old systems were restored, and she and Seydon set to work evicting some unwelcome residents in the form of jungle rancors and a nest of hunting flies. The remaining restoration was a combined effort of herself, Makai Dashiell and a set of Janitor droids provided by Kaili.
