TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
  • Classification: Broken Longsword
  • Size: Small(Without Force) - Average(Arming Sword) - Large(Longsword)
  • Weight: Light
SPECIAL FEATURES
Strengths:
  • Force Sword: As a weapon created with the force, It has all of the known abilities and functions of a force-imbued sword. Nigh indestructible, Ability to destroy force ghosts, unnaturally sharp blade, and superior cutting power to that of another sword. Completing this through the use of the force, The blade itself exists on the physical plane, as well as that of the force.
  • The Shard is Whole: When in the hands of a force user, who truly understands the application of the weapon, the sword has the ability for a very large portion of the blade to be invisible to the eye, as well as the ability to shift the weapon's length from that of your standard arming sword, to that of a full fledged longsword. This can provide a massive advantage over any opponents that the wielder faces.
Edge of Invisibility: Using a weapon in general means the opponent can see the action you are performing. It allows for the foe to react to the weapon, as well as to parry, block, or even avoid it all together. However, with a blade that no one other than wielder can see, it can make it much more difficult for opponents to guess the length, of the weapon, or how it is being used.
  • Dual Phase Sword: As the ability known of Darkshear, Was an ability to create a dark sided spear of any length being that of a javlin, or of a full sized polearm, The weapon has two "phases" where it can either be at the length of an arming sword, Or a longsword. Allowing the wielder to have the opponent have to guess the length even further when suddenly they are at a range and still able to hit them.

[*]Forceful Cutting: Forged in the force, The blade has a very powerful ability to cut through most materials with ease. It does not have the cutting power of a lightsaber. Yet it can still cut through hardened metals such as Durasteel due to the use of the force within the blade. An example would be that while a lightsaber can easily cut through durasteel with ease, it will take more energy to cut through the same metal. However, as a lightsaber cannot cut through lightsaber resistant matierals, and this weapon uses the force, this sword can potentially cut through lightsaber resistant materials given that the metal is thin enough, the wielder exerts the right amount of energy to cut through the metal, and has the ability to supply the force energy necessary to keep the blade active to use the function.
Weaknesses:
  • Lizards and Stones: As any force artifact can be affected by Force nullification abilities, this sword as well can be affected. Turning this rather remarkable weapon, into nothing more than a broken longsword.
  • Force Sight: As the weapon is cloaked through the force, Should a force user have the ability to use Force sight, they will be able to clearly see the outline of the sword that is invisible. Should any technology also let you have the ability to see in the force, that too, can also allow the person on the receiving end of the weapon tell exactly how long the sword is and if it is being used or not.
  • Of the Light: As the sword is imbued with the dark side of the force, Light sided powers can damage, render the sword inert, or completely destroy it. Just as it can with any other kind of dark sided artifact.
  • Consuming: The sword itself is just a broken blade. One that is barely long enough to even be called a dagger. However, when focused upon through the force, One can lengthen the blade to it's long sword standard. The down side of this, is the amount of energy. Using the arming sword length is comparable to using a lightsaber. Having to focus upon the weapon with the force. In its fullest length, the weapon doubles in consumption from the wielder. As such, more often than not, the blade will be in a shorter length than what it was built for.
  • Weightless Blade: Much like a lightsaber, the blade itself is created by other means than a physical metal or substance. This means the blade hardly gains any form of weight when focused upon. For anyone to pick up the weapon, they need to know how to use a lightsaber to effectively use this weapon as the two are comparable in weight, and fighting styles.
  • Brutish: Normally with a longsword, the weight of the weapon allows for it to effectively be used against lightsabers so that you can batter a lightsaber out of the hands of a Jockey. However, as this sword is also nearly weightless in the blade, and with a center of gravity within the grip, heavier weapons can have that same effect against this sword, much like a lightsaber.
  • Having some Problems?: Cutting through many materials is a very clear upside to this weapon. Even more so that the weapon itself, using the force, can cut through ligthsaber resistant metals. However, That is thin and requires a few prerequisites to do such a thing.
    1. Metals such as Beskar where they can resist Lightsabers, and very high outputs of kinetic damage, will take much longer to cut through, than that of cortosis, or Ultrachrome. As the two latter examples are namely resistant to energy damage, not Kinetic.
    2. The denser, or thicker the metal is, the more difficult it will be able to cut through. So metals such as Beskar being that they are very dense, will have more material needed to be cut through, while something such as durasteel or duraplast would be more easily cleaved into as they lack density.
    3. It requires massive amounts of energy to continuously cut through metals. As the weapon itself in its normal arming sword length is comparable to using a lightsaber, If you attempt to cut or pierce into metal with the intent of getting through it, then it will exponentially increase the force energy required over time. Generally, every second one attempts to cut a metal with this weapon, it will double in power consumption. (1 second = X, 2 Seconds = X2, 3 Seconds = X4, 4 Seconds = X8, Etc.). Retroactively, This process will be doubled again when using the Longsword length of this sword. (1 second = X2. 2 Seconds = X4, 3 Seconds = X8, 4 Seconds = X16, Etc). *While these are not hard or strict numbers, the energy consumption exponentially increases the more you use it in this function*
DESCRIPTION
There was once a time, when a broken sword, was a symbol of death. It symbolized that the owner of such weapon, had perished. In some forms, he should have. In other cases, handing someone a broken weapon, was that they were no longer part of that people. An outcast. Forced into exile and shunned by others for whatever crime, or unspeakable evil they committed. This sword, is one such. One given away to a man who could no longer live his life.

A broken and damaged sword, It was found into the care of a young man. Aspiring to renew the blade, to reforge it. Yet, no matter the metal he used to create the blade, it fell apart on him. Breaking and fragmenting into its previous state. One of a simple handle and guard. Time and time again this young man slaved over the anvil and sweat within the forges. Only when he was about to toss the sword, to be forgotten once more, that within his sleep, an answer came for this.

To forge the blade not of any material means. Nor of any technology. This sword was meant for more. To become more. Breaking down this sword, and reforging it with the force itself, the young man wrapped himself in the folds and the void of the force. Letting it overtake him in his construction. Visualizing not just one, but two sides of this blade. One of your Knightly Sword, and that of your Divine Longsword. Piecing it together with the lost fragments through the force, this blade was constructed, and brought whole again.

However, as the young lad awoke from his dream, he saw the sword as it lay. A weapon that was fragmented and broken. Fearful of picking it up, and his dream be all for naught, it was with a single convergence of him and this blade, that the weapon showed him it's true fate. That of a blade that he could only see. Fearing he had gone mad, he rushed to his friends. Handing them the weapon. Speaking of madness. However, as they came to convene with this blade, they too, could see it's shape and form. They too could act with the weapon in their own hands.

Yet, as the young man created a full sheath for the blade, he found that while only part of it was truly there in material form, in his heart, and in his mind, he knew the power of this edge. He knew the weapon within, would be a weapon without.

This weapon will have the same limitations applied to it as a lightsaber would.

If this weapon is reported, it will be denied. Neat idea, but easily abused. I'll approve it, but make sure you're using it for the plot and with the consideration of cooperative storytelling in mind - go full 13 year old playing Fortnite with it, and it'll be gone as soon as it arrived!
