Faction Ad The Shadow Protectorate

Out of Character Information:

The Shadow Empire has decided to change it's prerogative on how to govern; changing into the head of a protectorate. What does this mean? We're no longer a empire, while the capital planet of Eclipstica still has a throne, and crowned ruler the person is now a Prime Minister titled king/queen and is an NPC. Now, the faction operates more militant than monarchical but way less imperial in nature.

Becoming a Major Faction is the name of the game, but we need active members for that. We had a little bit of a rough start up but we're cleaning that up.

Continuing on:

Members will be able to represent planets in the Council of Representatives which is democratic in nature. Votes will be held on how and where the military is used and what and how planets are incorporated under the protectorate.

The military now focuses more on defending than offending as the Watchguard. Invasions are not a thing we are considering. Threads involving the military will consent of members holding the lines, defending a city, dropping into invaded planets calling for help, and more. This area is open to making squads and companies, vehicles and weapons. Ranking members are needed to fill roles as well. The leader of the military is already filled, but we def want a lot of NFU members for awesome military roleplays.

Navy has now become...well cant really change much, but the Black Armada. We want to see more patrols, evacuating citizens from hostile areas, and more. We've two very large civilian space station/worldcraft vessels that are priority for the Navy to protect. Regardless, fleet elements are needed to be made here, and ranking members to fill spots. I've not a lot to say here as I feel the it speaks for itself. We got ships, need pilots and admirals lol. The army and the navy work hand in hand as well, we want to see more interaction between the two branches of military.

The Force Sect has become the Paladin Chapters with the highest position being held as Prime Paladin. These are the Force users who will be easily seen on battlefields, controlling commandos and the like. They differ from other Force Sects in that Paladins are not apart of the military but capable of fighting at all times while representing the Crimson Covenant. They specialize in fighting Sith and Knights of Ren. Sometimes the Paladins will not be assisting the military in their entirety as the Covenant can send specific members on important mission.

The Crimson Covenant is a force order dedicated to all aspects of the Force outside indoctrination. There is no particular code, and is a majority Dark Jedi currently. The covenant is actively against the Sith and Knights of Ren, and any other Dark Side organization openly corrupting the Force and the Galaxy. The Covenant takes on concepts similar the New Jedi Order, the Dark Side is not inherently evil, and believes that the Sith originally corrupted the Dark Side into something more volatile. While able to the advise the Council of Reps, the Covenant can not vote, and has the right to order Paladins out of combat at any given point. This group is lead by the Supreme Master and is already filled, but requires students and teachers to get things going.

A new branch as been installed, the Shadow Network. A group of spies, investigators and more scouting and gathering data on enemies. This is overseen by the Overseer lol and needs some more working on as it was just installed. All positions need filling!

And before you go on to read the IC stuff.....yes this is a dominate Dark Side faction but we're still the good guys. BUT, we will take Neutrals, Witches, Rogues, and Jedi if they believe this fits them.

In Character Information:

While the empire prospers on it's own, it's become clear that the empire is no longer an effective means of government for the ever expanding influence. While not inherently an evil organization, the word empire has struck fear into the hearts of too many. So while the planet of Eclipstica continues to have it's own throne, the leaders of the Shadow Empire have decided to abolish to the monarchy as the leading factor of the faction. In agreement with the once capital of group, the Protectorate is formed as the new mandate.

The Shadow Protectorate is lead by a group known as the Council of Repetitiveness, a assembly of member planets and the Crimson Covenant. While the planet members are capable of voting, the covenant represents the Force sensitives and have no real voting powers, but are allowed to advise this council. The same can be said in reverse, the planet members can not compel the covenant to provide soldiers at arms to fight any war or battle; this is left to the covenant's own council to vote upon.

Militant wise, much of the imperialist notions still exist with some noticeable changes. Now lead by the Vanguard, or chiefs of defense, each member of the Vanguard holds the leading ranks of each branch; Army, Navy, Force Sect, and the newly formed Intelligence. Much of the military now focuses on defending the planet members of the Protectorate, instead of active offense. The Army has been renamed the Watchguard lead by the Warden General, the navy is now the Black Armada lead by the Lord Admiral, with the Force Sect returning as the Paladin Chapters lead by the Prime Paladin still, and the new intelligence sect dubbed; the Shadow Network, lead by the Overseer. Members of all branches are expected as high level of professionalism and commitment to duty.

The Crimson Covenant has changed very little if not at all. This order of Force sensitives are not entirely effected by the militant or political aspects of the Protectorate, but insure that many of those sensitive to the Force are not ignorant of disciple in both the Dark and Light side of the Force. While many members are Dark Jedi, other aspects of Force organizations are welcomed to learn, study, and teach here under a certain Code of Conduct. In no shape or form are Sith teachings beyond the most basic techniques allowed to be practiced or taught here, and the same goes under the Jedi notions of the Force. The covenant is represented and lead by the Supreme Master with a hand picked council of Masters to advise and vote on how to best to operate the covenant and so forth. The Academy of the Lost acts as the base of learning for the covenant and is secretly hidden from all eyes to insure safe and uninterrupted students and teachers. Many of the Protectorate do not even known where the location of the academy is, and it's location is only given to those trusted enough to respect and understand the nature of the academy. Should, at any point, the council agree upon voting can students and teachers be seen in battlefields.

The protectorate follows the Realms Oath of Asylum as it's basis of mandate. While they offer their protection to any planet willing to join, those crying for help and security will always find the Shadow Protectorate prepared to assist. No planet within the Protectorate was forced to join, but it's not entirely wrong to say some may have been reluctant to join due to circumstances or biased opinions.
This has managed to be turned into the Solace and Relief Program
