- Model: The Shadow Hand’s Phylactery
- Modularity: N/A
- Production: Unique
- Material:
- Holds the Shadow Hand's intellect and spiritual essence within, ensuring that he will not enter the Netherworld of the Force upon death but he instead will reconstitute within the phylactery.
- Indestructible through normal means, the metal used in the phylactery’s construction is treated with Sith Alchemy.
- Indestructible Through Normal Means: Created through the dark science of Sith Alchemy, the Shadow Hand’s Phylactery cannot be damaged or destroyed through ordinary methods. Lightsabers will not cut it, blasters will not even scorch it. It cannot be crushed, dented, or harmed in any normal manner.
- The Power Of Immortality: By binding his spiritual consciousness to the Phylactery, the Shadow Hand can reconstitute his being should his currently inhabited physical form perish. His consciousness will completely bypass the Netherworld of the Force and will reform within the Phylactery to be transferred into a new body by his servants.
- Force Light: Though the Shadow Hand’s Alchemy has made his Phylactery virtually indestructible to the power of modern technology, it does not spare it from the power of the Light. This does not mean that a simple application of Force Light will destroy it outright, but a ritual conducted by multiple Jedi Masters (or Light-side Force users of equivalent or greater skill) will eventually destroy it after consistent and prolonged exposure to the power.
- Mutually Assured Destruction: Though the Shadow Hand can reconstitute his spiritual form and functionally remain immortal through his phylactery, it is also a double-edged sword. Should the phylactery be destroyed, then the Shadow Hand will have nothing to keep his spirit from being thrown into the deepest reaches of the Netherworld until a new one is constructed. Worse still, if the phylactery is destroyed while the Shadow Hand’s spirit inhabits it after his physical body is destroyed, then the Shadow Hand’s spirit will be destroyed in its entirety; permanently eradicated.
Death.
A concept that the Shadow Hand was intimately familiar with throughout his long lifetime, he maintained a deep connection to death. It was forged both in the bringing of death to so many, and in feeling its very touch before. For most death was an eventuality, something that would eventually catch up with their lives and loomed over all. All except for one. For decades alongside his nephew Kaine Zambrano he walked the path of power sacrificing much in his mastery of the force and specifically the dark side, becoming one of the most powerful Sith Lords in the galaxy. Yet as his immeasurable power increased he was intimately familiar with the fact that neither he nor his nephew were invincible. It was after his nephews first death at the hands of Kiskla Grayson and the Akala Crisis, followed by the subsequent failures of the golem created by Kaine meant they needed an alternative to conquer the very threat they were faced with: death itself. To this end the pair poured all of their intellect, spiritual power, all of the dark lore amassed over the course of many centuries into the creation of a single relic called a phylactery.
This device allowed his nephew to completely bypass the Netherworld of the Force entirely, instead reconstituting his spirit inside the phylactery from which he could then enter a new host body. Once the relic was successfully tested after his nephew allowed himself to die at Gabriel Sionoma's hands, he oversaw his revival during the Battle of Lujo. Now pleased with the success of such a creation the Jedi Master was now beaten down and the pair departed. It was in the aftermath of this event that they created a second phylactery this time one for the Shadow Hand. It became necessary as his original body struggled to contain his immense power. Upon completion it was quickly hidden away alongside his nephew's own phylactery deep within the halls of the Worldcraft Malsheem, where only a select few including the Sith Emperor himself have access to it.
