The Seventh Form

Kiln

The Survivor
Gamorr
Sith Academy
1800

Kiln approaches the academy and stops just outside to rest for a moment, putting his shield down and getting a drink of water. He had been hiking here all day, and wasn't sure what kind of welcome he would get from these people. But if he wanted to save his friends, He would need to learn how to use a lightsaber.

Suddenly the sound of lightsabers clashing echo from within the academy walls. Kiln stands up and slowly walks inside to see three people sparring with each other, two against one. He watches them fight from a distance, staying out of sight for now.

[member="Ballen-Ist"]

The two acolytes that stood ahead of the cloaked figure would begin to charge him, their sword-like training sabers glowing as energy activated around it's cylindrical design. With wild swings, the two force sensitive combatants would attempt to apparently destroy the hooded figure, who managed to move swiftly enough to avoid each strike. Leaping to the side, Ballen-Ist would now face the wall that [member="Kiln"] peaked in through, which happened to be opposite of the two students he was facing. The acolytes would turn quickly, watching as the cloaked Sith pure blood stepped forward, attacking with an overhead slash as he did so. The two rather old training sabers would connect with the boy's far more advanced crimson lightsaber, causing sparks to fly, and a bright flash of light. Having lifted his saber forward and up, the Knight had blocked effectively, leaning forth to apply his strength in a push that would cause his two opponents to skid backwards.

Closing the distance, Ballen-Ist would begin to unleash a wild barrage of attacks upon the duo, the boy's red blade leaving streaks of light in it's wake as it slashed ferociously. The Juyo stance he adopted allowed him to get up close and personal, batting away at any defense the duo attempted to put up. Ballen-Ist's arm would swing back and forth repeatedly, wearing away at the student's fatigue until an opening was realized. The boy's crimson saber would rotate with a flick of his wrist, singing both of their legs in a single sweep. "We'll train tomorrow." He spoke, deactivating the saber he held in his grasp. Walking towards the courtyard's exit, the black clothed Sith would pause, feeling a presence that had attempted to hide itself. Craning his head slowly, the teenager's two yellow eyes would lock onto Kiln's form, his arm lifting in order to aim it at the man's body. Focusing quickly, he would reach out with his advanced telekinesis skill, aiming to wrap the man tightly in the force energy that surrounded him. If this was successful, he would be gently lifted into the air, and over the wall against his will. Waving his arm downwards, the man would be placed on the ground, Ballen-Ist gazing forward with an annoyed expression on his face. "Who are you, and what do you want?" He would ask.

As Kiln was lifted over the wall and placed on the other side he reached behind his back, grabbing hold of a thermal detonator. He stares at the sith cautiously for a moment before letting go of the detonator and answering him. "My name is Kiln. I have come here following rumors of a powerful combat style known as Juyo... I wish to learn it." He says calmly, looking around at a few of the other trainees.

[member="Ballen-Ist"]

The boy's vision would narrow as he lowered his eyelids, allowing him to focus intently on the man's actions. Sensing out with the force, the teen would feel the hostility that leaked off of [member="Kiln"] as he reached backwards for his thermal detonator. Though, there was doubt that loomed in his mind, surely he would not go through with throwing the grenade. "Put that grenade back, unless you want to die." The youthful Sith would say, looking up and down the man as he let go of the weapon. Shaking his head from side to side, the boy could not help but grin, walking over the dirt of the courtyard towards the hooded figure. "You want to learn Juyo? You, want to learn the seventh form, Juyo?" Ballen-Ist would ask in disbelief, beginning to circle the man as he continued to sense out his feelings and intentions.

"The seventh form is the most aggressive, and passionate form of lightsaber combat. It utilizes emotions that lead to the dark side. I will teach you Juyo, and everything I know, if you are willing to give yourself to the dark side." The seventeen year old would say.

The dark side. Kiln paused as he pondered what that would mean for him. It felt like he was selling his soul. Kiln had hoped he was a noble man in his past life, but the honest truth now was that he didn't care. He had his own demon to fight. And he was going to win.

Kiln looked back at the sith boy as he circled around him. "I'll do whatever it takes... I'm not a stranger to the dark."

[member="Ballen-Ist"]

"Then you will fight for your life." The boy would state, taking a few steps toward the hooded man that had been watching his training session in secret. Now, Ballen-Ist would find out if [member="Kiln"] was truly worthy of wielding the dark side. Lowering his arm, the young sith pureblood would begin to reach for his waist, having his fingers wrap around a single shining blade that hung on his waist. Pulling forward, the boy's arm would raise into a throw, tossing the saber handle at the man who seeked training. Upon activating the weapon, the would notice it was red. "Prepare yourself." He spoke, his stride increasing as he continued to examine the man's physical capabilities. He seemed rather strong, though only time would tell. "To understand Juyo, you must experience Juyo." The boy would say, before leaping forward as he ignited his own weapon. The bright red hue of his saber would swing forward in fast, powerful strikes that would be rather unpredictable, aiming to force his opponent backwards with sheer strength. Any blows that were blocked would surely hold power behind them, along with a swift follow up of randomly placed strikes.

Streaks of white and red would be left in the boy's weapon's wake as it soared through the air, tearing through it viciously in an attempt to wither away at Kiln's defense. Any injuiries that might've been inflicted during Ballen-Ist's attack would be extremely minor at best, his saber only grazing the man's skin of anything. He did not want to seriously injure him.

Kiln grabbed the saber as it was thrown to him and activated it as the boy charged forward with an onslaught of attacks. He attempts to block the incoming blows but is quickly overwhelmed and gets singed on his shoulder by the blade and backs up against the wall behind him. With nowhere to go, he ducks under the next attack as it chars the wall behind him and shoves the boy back, giving Kiln space to go on the offensive and attempt to get out of the corner.

[member="Ballen-Ist"]

Ballen-Ist would watch in amusement as his blade's tip grazed along [member="Kiln"]'s shoulder, creating a brief plume of smoke that rose into the air. Lunging forward, the crimson plasma beam would slice along the wall, creating a deep molten line in it's surface. Craning his neck, the boy would face his opponent, watching as he leapt to the side. Taking a single step backwards, the young Sith would begin to adopt a Soresu stance. His right arm would extend forward, leveling out the opponent in order to aim at him. The hand that wielded his red colored saber would rise into the air, it's arm moving away from Kiln to hold the saber back, letting it's tip point at his enemy.

The boy would keep this stance, holding his position stubbornly like a rock. Thus was the foundation of Soresu, to be unmoving. Patience flowed through his mind as he awaited his opponents attack, eager to see what he had learned.

Kiln held the lightaber in front of him, mimicing the boy's Juyo stance. He jumps in bringing the saber down hard before following up with a flurry of light strikes, but the sith's defensive stance holds strong. Locking blades with the boy, Kiln holds his saber in place with brute strength before turning to slam his shoulder against the boy's shoulder, forcing him back and freeing Kiln's saber from the lock. With his blade free Kiln continued to attack relentlessly, keeping forward pressure on the sith.

[member="Ballen-Ist"]

The crimson saber that the young boy wielded would move with agility and grace, spinning and altering it's trajectory with mere seconds to react. The onslaught that [member="Kiln"] attempted would be deftly avoided by the youth's maneuvers, his shining blade spinning rapidly as he twisted his wrist, while moving his finger's positioning. Sparks and bright flashes would draw attention to the courtyard, a few Acolytes and Overseers gathering to watch the battle. They would remain silent as The Survivor and the Pure blood pitted their wits against one another. The two sabers would collide with each other, struggling frantically in order to gain the upper hand. Lurching forward with a shoulder, Kiln's physical attack would land, forcing Ballen-Ist back a single step. Though, that would not discourage the young Knight.

Lifting his saber in front of him, the boy's arm would continue to move, up and down continuously, his arm bending in order to change the saber's angles at his own discretion. Keeping a firm stance, Ballen-Ist's feet would remain rooted to the ground, as if he were a tree.

Kiln

The Survivor
Kiln alternated between high and low strikes, trying to find a way around the boy's defence, but every attack he made was stopped and immediately countered until he was eventually left open and struck across the chest with the sith's blade. Kiln yells in pain and backs away, clutching the burn on his chest. He grits his teeth and stares at [member="Ballen-Ist"] angrily as he re-adopts the Juyo stance and runs back at the sith, screaming. Just before coming back into striking distance, Kiln runs to the side and kicks off of a wall, jumping over the boy and striking at his back.

Ballen-Ist had hoped to reserve his attacks, though it seemed there would be some necessary violence involved, if [member="Kiln"] were to truly draw out the dark side. The slightest amount of plasma from the tip of his saber would slash across the opponent's chest, causing the man to back away. Looking forward, the boy's arm would lower as he examined the man's condition mentally and physically. The wound was nothing heavy, it would only serve as a method to draw out Kiln's anger. The man's posture would be regained shortly after the pain subsided, causing him to rush forth in an angered haze. A battle cry would sound out, almost a definite indication of the hatred the man embraced. Having directed the battle towards the wall long ago, it would indeed be available to Kiln's disposal. However, though the force Ballen-Ist was able to sense not only the man's anger, but also the deceit.

It was a good tactic however, for the boy's eyes would watch as Kiln quickly redirected his momentum, pushing off on the nearby wall in order to get an advantage. As Kiln's form rotated mid-air, the arm that the Knight had lowered would begin to lift towards Kiln's direction, positioning itself behind Ballen-Ist's back. The limb would arch at the elbow, allowing his saber's angle to be adjusted, resulting in it's clash with the enraged opponent's weapon. Everything was happening in the flash of an eye, the two duelists fought each other with speed and ferocity, key attributes in their forms. It was true that Ballen-Ist used Soresu which depended on agility, however the constant movement of the form was what gave it it's strength. It's ferocity. The boy believed it to be a deadly form, rivaled only by Juyo. Seeing as he had studied both forms, the battle was obviously going in his favor, though surely Kiln would learn a lot.

"Yes, you have hate, you have anger. But you haven't used it. Unleash it now, it's the only way you can defeat me."

Kiln

The Survivor
Kiln fought as hard as he could as [member="Ballen-Ist"] told him to unleash his anger, but the boy's defence was solid. After a few more attacks, the sith landed a strike on the top of Kiln's leg and he falls to his knee. Growling angrily at himself, he forces himself back on his feet as he stares at Ballen-Ist.

Kiln's hatred was boiling inside. Overflowing. But it wasn't the boy he hated. Only himself. Every moment he wasted his friends suffered for it, and he couldn't even remember who they were. If he were to die before freeing them, they would suffer for a thousand years to come. That would not happen.

Kiln's eyes flare up as he strikes at Ballen-Ist's saber with a forceful blow, following up by shoving his hand forward and channeling the force to push the boy backwards. He continues to attack, keeping the pressure on Ballen-Ist and forcing him to continue moving backwards until the sith backs up to a wall and Kiln kicks him against it, coming in with the saber for a finishing strike.

Even if Ballen-Ist had erected a force barrier earlier, his previous focus on the intense saber dueling had surely allowed his mind to become at ease, having it lower it's force guards. The young Knight would watch as [member="Kiln"] charged forward, the man's eyes flaring with a bright yellow hue. It was the dark side, a powerful force that he had embraced. Or so it seemed. Lurching forth with his leading leg, the boy would raise his dominant arm as Kiln assumedly performed a ferocious overhead blow, one that would collide with the Knight's blade with a flash of light. With his focus on the opponent's saber, he hadn't noticed the attack had been performed with a single hand, leaving the man able to employ his force powers.

Of course, they weren't the strongest, but they had caught Ballen-Ist off guard and that was all that mattered. The dark side backed his power, the pushes that Kiln launched landed with great impact, launching him backwards. It was a continuous barrage of force telekinesis, which gave the boy no choice but to be slammed against the wall. Ballen-Ist's eyes would become bright as hatred built up within him, his chin tendrils quivering in anger. Rising to his feet, the Knight would watch as Kiln sailed forward with a kick, aiming to actually kill the pure blood with a finishing blow. Lifting his arm, the teenager would align his gloved hand with his opponent's location, allowing a focused burst of force energy to lash out. It would surge through the air invisibly, evading the man's sight. When it reached his location, it would hold him in place firmly, instead of causing him to fly backwards. The telekinesis grip that Ballen-Ist had employed was indeed powerful, attempting to cease all movements that Kiln had tried to execute. If so, he would be placed on the ground gently, while the boy deactivated his saber.

As [member="Ballen-Ist"] extended his hand, Kiln was suddenly frozen in place. He fights against the sith's grip but isn't and to move at all as he is placed back on the ground. When the boy deactivates his saber, Kiln realizes the fight is over and stops struggling, calming himself down as he stares at Ballen-Ist silently.

"The key to Juyo is to embrace your feelings of aggression. The form is at its strongest when utilizing your hatred." The boy would explain, beginning to walk across the courtyard, towards the Academy's entrance that was nearby. "Take this lesson, and continue on your dark path. Embrace the dark side, for it will set you free." Ballen-Ist would explain as he walked with [member="Kiln"], stopping only as he reached the stair case. "Find a master of your own, and continue what you have learned." The young pure blood would say, making his way up the many stairs that lead to the Academy's corridors. "Farewell."

Kiln followed [member="Ballen-Ist"] and listened to him as he walked to the entrance of the academy, speaking of the dark side and its importance in Juyo. As the boy dissapears up a set of stairs, he advises Kiln to find his own master and continue on his path to the dark side. Walking out of the academy, Kiln goes back over to where he set his shield down and picks it back up, staring at it, reminding himself of his hatred for the demon it came from, before hanging it back over his shoulder and walking off into the distance.
