GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Organization Name: The Sepulchral
  • Classification: Sith Cultists
  • Affiliation: Sith Eternal
  • Organization Symbol:
iaZqEzyu_o.png
  • Description:
    • Serving as the religious 'leaders' of the Sith Eternal, The Sepulchral are a coven of Sith Sorcerers nearly unmatched in their skills and expansive knowledge of both the Nether and Sith Magicks. Feared for their physical appearance, long corrupted from their depth within the Dark Side mixed with artificially long lives, the group's reputation is the culmination of first impressions and an extraordinary amount of rumors - crafted both on purpose by the Eye of the Emperor, but also for the simple fact that anyone who has met them fears their esoteric knowledge and insane ramblings. Rarely ever seen, often only ever tending to the Emperor alone, the Sepulchral only ever see the most promising of the Sith.
GEOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
  • Headquarters: Korriban
  • Domain:
    • While claiming the Tomb World of Korriban as their holy site, the Sepulchral have been known to frequent any of the holy worlds of the Sith Faith. From Exegol to Ziost, they have made mysterious visits to each throughout history - but never have they truly 'claimed' any themselves, nor have they built any amount of forces to do such. Narratively, they claim the planets and Sectors containing holy worlds are the rightful claim of the Sith - but besides the most recent radicalization of the Sith Eternal, they have done nothing to actually enforce such a belief.
  • Notable Assets:
    • The Red Gate -
      • A Dark Side nexus found in a cavern far beneath the surface of Korriban - however, it is unknown what exactly it entails within. Only Emperor's have ever been allowed within, and none speak of what they have seen; beginning with the Worm Emperor himself. The Sepulchral use this giant cavern as the foundational point of their magicks, so dense with dark side energy they can sustain themselves eternally so long as they remain within its embrace - though often at the cost of their physical bodies and mental fortitude.
SOCIAL INFORMATION
  • Hierarchy:
    • The group holds no hierarchy - being completely horizontal. While historically some members of the Sepulchral have been considered the 'Archon' of the Order, these are often anomalous or temporary. Rather once someone enters the Order, they simply become one of the many; connected by unseen strings that keep them balanced and in league with one another without so much as a spoken word between them.
  • Membership:
    • The Sepulchral are a surprisingly small group - containing only the most elite and well-versed Sith Sorcerer's in the Galaxy. Those who are scouted for the purpose are skimmed from the most prominent of the Academy's around the galaxy, or academics who have shown exceptional expertise in complex sith rituals; rather than more combat orientated powers or traits. Favoring intelligence and force acuity compared to anything else, it is not uncommon to see the most 'studious' of sith find themselves within the order rather than abroad building a power base.

Once someone is chosen, and they accept, the process of joining becoming extremely esoteric. Nobody is sure what happens to potential applicants beyond they are walked into a cave hidden on Korriban's surface - only to never return. Some are seen months later, skin pulled tight and pale as the Dark Side had seemed to overwhelm them entirely; but many more are simply gone. Even those who do return from the depths are changed - speaking in riddle or rhyme, of prophecy and divination, or even as though they speak to a thousand voices that aren't there.

The older a member gets, however, the more likely they are to remain within the Red Gate; to retain their form until they experience yet another ritual. This one is even more unknown but is a trial of 'passing on', as once it is complete they are never seen again. Likely buried within the expansive underground tomb that exists within the Red Gate; however, this has never been confirmed by the general populace of the Sith.
  • Climate:
    • From within, the Order is simply the most knowledgable of the Sith cultists - entrusted with the most esoteric of the Sith's most ancient rituals. Through these they keep the Sith Eternal alive - through the use of the Emperor's Sacrament all the way to enhancing the potential of Sith who show promise with in the Order. They are the central figures in guiding the Sith outside of the Emperor's own voice - but even there they are often the guiding spiritual hand to the Emperor themself.
  • Reputation:
    • While the most religious of the Sith entrust their entire being and belief to The Sepulchral with no question; the vast majority of Sith do not trust things they do not understand or are fearful of. The Sepulchral deserve this reputation more than most - as they are well known to hold between them the most powerful connection to the Force of almost any group in the Galaxy; at the very least, the most knowledgable group of Sith Sorcerer's this side of the Core. Due to this, many Sith has plotted against them on paper and back rooms - but none have truly made a 'move' upon them, either for being thwarted or otherwise fearing the repercussions for calling upon themselves the full force of the standing Emperor.
  • Curios:
    • Each of the members of the Sepulchral appear to be more corpse than living being due to the rituals they undertake to become a member. The Dark Side alters their condition so much, they become little more than what Sidious once looked as - corrupted beings walking on stunted legs. The worst of their Order are hunched, pitiful creatures with strands of hair that barely stick to their head - while the most capable look little more than walking lich. All have the symbol of the Sith etched into their skin - but where is dependent on the individual, with some choosing larger ones on their back, and others smaller ones upon their forehead such as Exar Kun.
  • Rules:
    • While the Sepulchral follows the beliefs of the Sith Eternal and the expansion of the Sith'ari Prophecy, they are sworn to their own set of rules. Secrecy to what their Order does and is capable of, notably the secrets of the Emperor's Sacrament among other high level sith rituals. Second being their enforcement to wear the raimants of the Sepulchral at all times outside of their home of the Red Gate - so all may identify them for what they are abroad. The last of which is to ensure undying loyalty to the existence of the Emperor - but not to being; but what this means to the average sith is rather stunted.
  • Goals:
    • The singular goal of the Sepulchral to foster the creation of a true Sith'ari within the galaxy. They do this through the Emperor's Sacrament among their various other rituals - essentially making the standing Emperor their living God Emperor at all times. While they themselves bar themselves from attempting to become the Sith'ari, they still insure that each living Emperor is infused with all the power they can offer - furthering their goal until another rises to usurp the Emperor. Past this, they hope to spread the faith of the Sith Eternal to the galaxy at large - until the day in which the Sith rule everything, from within and without the Force.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

While their genesis is considered vague with multiple overlapping accounts claiming various starting dates, it is generally accepted the Sepulchral as an Order has been around since at least the original Sith Eternal cult upon Exegol - however to what degree they were involved with those events remains up to debate. Whether they were truly apart of the situation that led to Sidious's First Order and rise to power, or rather simply attached their name after the fact is hotly contested - however it is more accurate to say they have been active at least since 50 ABY, with reports of their active encantation on Korriban being witnessed by passing smugglers.
What the Sepulchral did during the Dark Ages of the galaxy after Zero had committed the greatest atrocity, however, is again up for debate. Some would have you believe they simply wandered the galaxy - transitioning between holy worlds from decade to decade before finding themselves on a new one - scrounging for food or artifacts to sustain themselves. Others however, point to the religious texts of Darth Hou that claims the Sepulchral had turned him away from the Red Gate multiple times through the Dark Ages citing the same ritual they were doing. This ritual, called the 'Jin'Wayiyizu'ia' was supposedly what had originally created the Worm Emperor himself; though this is contradicted by the Worm who has been quoted as saying he has always been.
However, after the emergence (or reemergence, depending on religious stance) of the Worm Emperor in 864ABY, the Sepulchral have once again been witnessed roaming the galaxy once more. From deep beneath the surface of Korriban to the far reaching planet of Exegol - the Sepulchral have once again become noted for their seemingly endless search for esoteric artifacts and hunger for knowledge. At present, the Sepulchral answer to none of the Sith Eternal except the Emperor themself - though what occurs between the two Orders is highly contested, and the product of hot debate between Sith Zealots.
