Private The Schizophrenic, The Cinnamon Roll, and The Soldier

Slip walked down the halls of the Commenor Temple, hopelessly lost, trying to find his way to where he was supposed to meet up with the others. Of course, the place was huge, and was impossible to navigate, and the instructions he was given were equally confusing. Slip looked around, hallways leading every which way. Yep, he was definitely lost.

The shadow man stood nearby, being his usual not-helpful self. For a hallucination and fragment of Slip's own mind, he was surprisingly unhelpful, and seriously annoyed Slip sometimes. Slip knew that he was just getting annoyed by a nonexistent being that was a figment of his own mind, but still, the shadow man could at least be a little helpful sometimes, instead of being unhelpful almost all of the time.

Slip was here because he had been given the opportunity to train and meet a member of the Omega Squad, so of course Slip had accepted. Being a supersoldier, he could respect those in commando and special forces positions, as he had been made for that, and trained since birth for such a role, so of course Slip knew what it was like to have so much pressure put on someone. It definitely was an interesting lifestyle.

But if only he could figure out where he was supposed to go! Of course he would get lost, he always got lost! And the shadow man was really starting to piss him off. Usually the shadow man was very talkative, but not today. Today, for some reason, he was eerily quite, which both concerned and annoyed Slip. Something was off, but as for what, Slip had no clue, as the shadow man wasn't telling him or giving him any signs to what that thing might be. Strange.

And right now he was really annoyed by the lack of proper signage or maps in the Temple. It was like this place was made to get lost in...

For now, Slip walked through the hallways, trying to find his destination, which were the training rooms.

Sometimes, he wondered by architects decided to make buildings like this so complex and confusing. Now, he knew why: to confuse people like Slip, and to make them lost. And to leave a bad first impression on the people they were meeting.

Perfect way to start the day.

The team, well the remainder of the team was in full gear with an extra. They were all in full gear and weapons walking through the farside hall and in sight of the “brother” and “sister”. They were normally at least fairly cordial with those who passed by, mostly enlisted or office personnel but today, and more importantly ever since Tol Amn they are not in the mood to be social. It was there that Azrael, Bartleby, Scion and Sauriel lost three of their teammates. They managed to defend two badly wounded Jedi and took out thirty-six of the seventy-eight pirates chasing them but the numbers were too great.

Even the best sometimes lose.

There was no regret among any of the four survivors, losing members was a part of the job and they all knew the risks. It still stung though, the guys knew each other inside and out and nothing was going to replace that, especially in the case of Bartleby losing his husband. They did not want to, but they needed to train another guy, three guys in fact. It was going to be terribly tedious because of the level of work that was done. “Paul”, real name Tomas Isaacs, was Scion’s older brother and was more than qualified, the other two were as well. The thing is though, they needed a fifth for every mission, a heavy gunner for support and Tomas specialized in them, from repeaters to grenade launchers.

The other two would come and would be trained soon enough, but Azrael got clearance to downsize, to make the team leaner and meaner. Tomas had several reprimands on his record for excessive force and accusations of potential war crimes. He was mean as (censored) and that was potentially what Aien wanted. Will the guy make it in? Only time will tell. Alien only just glanced down the hallway and saw the two by chance, but knew right away they were who he was supposed to meet.

A kid and a Togruta kid, just great.

He was not racist, but an equal opportunity offender, the fact is he didn’t care who or what you were, don’t waste his time. These two looked like they were going to do a lot of time-wasting.

Bart’, get everybody down the hall and get started in the killhouse.

The team second noticed the two as well.

Have fun babysitting.

Just go.

Scion of course had to make a joke.

... and Bart… the killhouse is not the cafeteria.

Shut up and move.

As Aien watched them leave, he slowly composed himself and made his way over to the two kids.

This area is for adults only...
