Hyperdrive Class: 0.33
Strengths:
- Extremely powerful shields
- Reinforced hull
- Comprehensive countermeasure options
- Main guns ignore and bypass shields
- Extremely fast hyperdrive
- Probe launcher offers strategic situational awareness
- Mild stealth capabilities (anti-sensor coating and engines with a low-profile mode)

- Main guns temporarily reduce the Scar of Ilum's shield strength by half while being fired
- Low cargo capacity
The key to Mara's modifications was a highly advanced Isotope-5 reactor, more powerful than virtually anything on the market. Mara directed that power into the Scar of Ilum's shield generator and fast, nimble hyperdrive. No vessel of this size has stronger shields, and hyperdrives of this grade are virtually unheard of. The engines received a mild boost as well. In the end, though, Mara's modifications taxed even the Scar's reactor, leaving no power for serious weapons.
The Scar of Ilum's mission profile involves rescue, escape, and evasion on a strategic scale. The Scar is not, by any stretch of the imagination, a warship. Instead, it's a toolbox of high-powered get-out-of-jail-free cards, such as tractor shrouds, recon probes, an encrypted beckon call, decoys, low-visibility engines, anti-sensor coating, cap drains, and powerful shields. Flying the Scar, Mara can cram her cargo hold full of Jedi Padawans or whatever, and adjourn from virtually any situation short of established, direct interdiction or advanced starfighter swarms.
The Scar is heavily weatherproofed, as it spends a good deal of time on a mountain plateau not far from Castle Miriamele. It can support half a dozen people in comfort, and cram in perhaps two dozen for a short-term emergency trip.

Intent: An escape-and-evasion ship.
