Illusionary Trust

SPECIAL FEATURES
- Soul Stealer: The crystal is always hungry, and whenever the blade of the lightsaber that it's married to takes a life; it will capture the soul into the crystal that will be exhibited in the blade itself., feeding the crystals power from the consumed midichlorians from that individual. And if the slaughtered possess a high midichlorian count where he or she is capable of wielding the Force, it adds an added effect.
- Enhanced Dark Side Abilities: That added effect comes in the form of granting the individual whom the crystal is paired with a substantial increase in their Dark side abilities, making even the basic Dark Side ability stronger than it normally is; and those powers already freakishly dangerous, more so than ever. As well, the enhanced ability can possibly be disrupted by limited Light Side Force abilities.
- Masking the Force: The crystal, when its placement is infused to a hilt of a lightsaber and in coordination with the crystal's user, will hide the Force signature from everyone who can sense the Force; almost making their signature appear dead, or absent, in the Force itself.
- Ghostly Blade: The blade, which possesses a white almost translucent blade, houses those spirits in apparition forms flowing and hauntingly seen through the aspect of the blade, and unlike the traditional plasma blades from a lightsaber, these blades are formed from ghost plasma themselves, almost not subject to the traditional plasma blade pros and cons., which can make the blade freakishly unreliable and understandably difficult to deal with from the opposing side, and on a silent night, one can hear the screams and moans of those trapped ghosts.
- Extremely Durable: The durability of the crystal is amazingly strong; drop it, fumble it, or accidently kick it over a ledge will not hurt it. It's not indestructible by any means, but it can withstand stress fractures more than 99% of all the other crystals in the galaxy; even mocking those synthetic ones for their fragility.
- Enhanced Cutting Power: The blade of this ghostly crystal adds a certain, and quite dangerously cutting philosophy, to its repertoire. It can cut through the majority of materials in the galaxy, including phrik, cortosis, and songsteel. However, where those three materials have their own defenses against plasma-based weapons, this blade is formed from the trapped Force energy from those imprisoned ghosts: allowing for it its menacing attributes toward those materials.
- Thin Blade: The ghost blade is thin, almost invisible in its linear prospect, which allows for two attributes. The first, with its thin blade, allows the blade to swiftly cut through the air in almost supernatural speed, and the second is that it makes those opposing that blade experience a very extreme difficulty tracking the blade, as it can appear here, then there due to its speed and almost invisibility component. And those ghostly moans and sounds, have a very strong proposition of unnerving those standing on the other side.
- Non-Replicated: The rarity of these crystals, unlike other crystals that naturally grow and create crystal formations, do not regenerate or regrow once harvested. Essentially, those very few of this type of carbon-based material can be considered endangered, with what is there hidden in the cavern is all there is, and all there ever will be.
- Unreliable: The crystals are dangerously unreliable when matched to a lightsaber hilt. Though they are durable physically speaking, they can at times pose problems such as withholding their natural effects, a weakness in both the blades cutting power and the solidarity of the blade itself, or causing the lightsaber to overheat, shorting out the inside intricate technological mechanics of the weapon itself.
- Dark Side Monster: The Ruusan Ghost Crystal is a product of the Dark Side with deep ties to that alignment; filled with much anger, pain, and hatred from those ghosts trapped inside. Because of these emotional dark attributes, these crystals will corrupt the wielder, further enhancing the physical corruption on the skin of the individual quicker than time itself; even affecting the mind and mental status of those the crystal is attached too.
The Ruusan Ghost Crystal is a horrific product from an extremely catastrophic event. The crystals were created during the deaths of so many Jedi and Sith, the latter believed extinct, when the ghosts, presumably those of Force Ghosts and Vengeful Ghosts, became infused to a cluster of crystals in horizontal formations; warped by the Force itself when Darth Bane released a Force Bomb, or Thought Bomb, in a nearby cavern. With nearly all Force-sensitive life destroyed on the planet, the crystals became prisons to those unfortunates to be ensnared. The cavern in which the crystals grew, left untouched and its location unknown, remained isolated for over a thousand years from the rest of the planet.
The discovery of the cavern, and the ensuing discovery of the crystals, was by a team of historians who were interested in the lore and events that led to the eradication of the Sith, as it was once believed, that ended the final Jedi-Sith War. Unbeknownst to the team, a Sith Agent was moonlighting as a student, and was hosting their own agenda on the expedition. When the agent came across the crystal formations, feeling them radiating with the Dark Side, examined them closer, seeing the trapped spirits inside each crystal. Unsure what these crystals where, or any applications they might possess, plucked one for further studies. And to keep these crystals a secret until there was concrete evidence supporting their capabilities, the agent first copied the coordinates from the ship's logs before erasing them from existence. Only later when the crystals lightsaber property effects where unlocked, did the agent go back and murder the others from the team.
Over the next hundred years, the Sith took great pains to keep these crystals a secret, feeling it was a part of their long-winded history best left in the dark. Very few of the Sith Order knew of these crystals, and as time passed, with those aware of the crystal's existence dying off, the location of these crystals once more began to fade into obscurity. One Sith Lord, while recording a history of his life and his successful events, mentioned the crystals, masking the coordinates of the cavern in a puzzle-like message. Like all secrets and mysteries, nothing is lost forever, and one Sith Lord managed to decipher the puzzle, discovering for himself the location of the cavern and its crystals; and was slain shortly by his Apprentice after revealing this to her. Now she was the sole survivor of the cavern's location on the planet, even recording it in her own holocron before her death. The holocron had become lost after her death, until it was discovered hundreds of years later by a young Sith girl, with the aid of the ghost of the deceased Sith Lord.
