The Road to Shawken (completed)

[member="Darth Erebos"]

This was something else that Faith knew she had to learn, something that she had started to understand during her time in the Senate, she had to learn about others in the galaxy to understand their needs, their challenges, and in the cases of rulers what they wanted for their people.

"Alderaan is relearning it's history, regrowing some of its ancient traditions, and arts. A cultural exchange would help us both I think to help our people, ourselves even perhaps. My people need to know there is a stability, there is growth and future on Alderaan. Do the people of Shawken also need this?"

Faith wanted to build bridges so that in times of trouble, they could reach out to one another and help. Not all help had to be with a military what if famine came to Alderaan or Shawken they could one another then, small steps were needed, but an understanding was needed first.

"Stability is a cornerstone of Shawkenese society. With the ancient ways of Kensei integrated into the fabric of Shwken society, which emphasizes Nobility, Integrity, Courage, Benevolence, Compassion, Respect, Honesty, Sincerity, Honor, Duty, Loyalty and Self-Control. Though I'm still a mere student of this way, I see it's value and Loyalty is something I myself value greatly. With cooperation between Alderaan and Shawken any disaster that happens to either of our planets I believe we should help one another." He said with a tone of respect and deference towards the ways of his people.

Faith nodded in agreement, "I believe we should help one another as well. Two worlds that value their history, and wish to protect it should find paths that both can walk together. I would welcome an Embassy for Shawken on Alderaan. If there is an Embassy for Alderaan on Shawken it keeps communications open between our worlds. Is this also agreeable to you?"

It seemed the two had found an easy path to agreement, easier than she had thought possible. Even knowing what his past was she was willing to let him build a gateway on her world to show her faith her trust in their agreement. She did not know how her mother would feel about this, or her husband but at the moment she felt it was the right thing to do.

With a slight nod towards [member="Faith Organa"], he signaled his agreement to her. "I believe we are in accord miss Faith. If you wish to discuss anything more I'm up for it but if you so wish you are free to use the Shawken spur if it will quicken your trip to your next destination." He said as he gestured and a small contract of embassies being placed for their planets on the other. "Tell me would a trade agreement fly as well?"

"Yes I am open for trade agreements as well, I am sure we each are in need of good and services. Tell me are there any restrictions on what you will allow in a structure on Shawken?" They had reached amicable agreements she now needed to know what kind of a building she could construct and what he would allow.

This had gone very well and the King had been very accommodating in all things. Her mother should be proud of her accomplishment in this. Now to ensure she sealed the deal.

He had to think a little on what [member="Faith Organa"] had just said. "That depends what are you thinking with the building you want to construct as your embassy?" He asked as he leaned lightly forwards to listen better to Faith.

Faith always had grand dreams of buildings, "Something that reflects Alderaan, where the representative, the Alderaan guard unit, Ambassador's aide could live, all other staff would come from Shawken. It should also have a few offices, and a large conference room. "

She looked around again, "something that also only shows the architecture of Shawken so that if it is ever returned to the people of Shawken it fits in and doesn't look like an eye sore." She needed to ensure the safety of her representative on Shawken she remembered how as a Senator shots could be taken at you, she didn't want anything to happen.

"What do you think?"

T'zanith thought a bit on that. "Hmm how about we commission two buildings one for Alderaan and another for shawken that blend the construction styles of our cultures together seamlessly and would be at home both on Alderaan and on Shawken?" He then proposed as a way of compromising with [member="Faith Organa"], though he did like her idea of having a building that if needed, would be able to be returned to the shawkenesse people.

"This I can agree to, trade agreement, and embassies for each of worlds. I look forward to a long relationship with the people of Shawken, and their King." Faith smiled she felt she had finally accomplished something that meant something.

"By all means, If you so wish I would love to host a feast when the Alderaanian embassy is complete with yourself and anyone else you'd wish to have come along for the celebration." He said with a wide smile and stood slowly up and walked to [member="Faith Organa"], handing out his hand in an agreement handshake.

With a smile he made his grip firm but not in anyway to hurt. "Then with an accord forged in peace, and hopefully maintained in peace, our worlds will be allies. I hope that Shawken and Alderaan can grow and prosper in the future." He said with a wide but thin smile on his lips. [member="Faith Organa"] certainly was a statesman or stateswoman of hidden talents.
