Description: A decade ago Khaleel Malvern was a Jedi Knight serving the Republic, after being saved from a future of slumming and stealing by one Ryan Korr on Nar Shaddaa. He served... well, if always showing to be slightly unorthodox compared to his peers. At one point the Jedi Academy came into existence on Yavin IV and spread through the Galaxy as a network of enclaves were Jedi and other forcers could train without having to worry about the politics of the greater galactic nations.
Malvern decided to start up an enclave on Nar Shaddaa where he trained prospective members of the Academy into the things he did best; the path of the Sentinel, mixed with the techniques of the Gray Paladins, Teepo and even the Ysanna.
Those training at the enclave learned how to seperate their fighting style from the Force. How to become effective combatants without having to rely on lightsabers or overt Force usage. They learned slicing, urban parkour, how to effectively wield small arms and blades, the basics of engineering and other feats that solidified them as an effective urban force who could blend and mix in the underworld.
There were twists and turns, but in the end Khaleel Malvern found himself... less a Jedi and more something else.
He shut down the Jedi Enclave on Nar Shaddaa, and only two dozen trainees remained with him. Those who believed in him and his message - that there was little to no way to annihilate crime, that it was only possible to guide it and make it less destructive.
That all they could do was minimize the collateral damage.
Those twenty four became his Paladins. His enforcers who operated the various levels of operations throughout the Galaxy, who ensured that the Exchange ran smoothly and efficiently.
