Structure Name: The Red Tower
Classification: Entertainment complex
Location: Point Nadirhttp://starwarsrp.net/topic/91192-point-nadir/;
Affiliation: Nadir
Accessibility: The Red Tower spans all the levels of the shadowport, from the dirt poor to the filthy rich. Each section of the massive construction is exceedingly more opulent, more expensive, and more elitist. In the Fissure district and the Pits, near anyone will be allowed past the burly Houk bouncers. The higher one goes, however – whether outside or inside the complex proper – the more security measures and background checks multiply. At the very tip of the Red Tower, in the Stardome, none but the privileged few are allowed entry. Anyone trying to force or cheat their way past their level is liable to experience defenestration – and then, a twenty kilometer drop through smog, durasteel, and traffic.
Security: A well-trained force composed of Qosta and Begeren soldiers. Only the most obvious ones are Houk, usually guarding blast doors and corridors with their breadth alone. The rest of the security are dispersed between the ebbing crowd of the Red Tower, subtle in their presence, yet quick to react when the need arises. They are equipped with high-quality Nadir weaponry and armor, and forbidden from partaking in any of the many illicit substances that flow like water through the veins of the Tower.
The personnel are further reinforced by an extensive network of closed-circuit cameras and sensors that monitor the manifold floors of the complex. The Red Tower runs independent even of the main Stardome grid, with several generators and backups in place to assure a smooth and uninterrupted experience throughout.
Description: Even at the lowest levels, the Red Tower reeks of opulence. Blood money seeps from its pores at every turn, ever more obvious as the price and floors stack up. The complex was built to entertain the lawless masses of Nadir, and to sap every last credit back from their pockets the moment they earn it.
Remember – the house always wins.
Boileryhttps://omegatrade.files.wordpress.com/2013/09/omega4.jpg; The lowest level of the Tower. Cheap watering holes and low-stakes gambling dominate this part of the complex. People of all stripes mill about here, and if knives or blasters get pulled among the teeth-baring clientele, the bouncers rarely bat an eye. Fissure and Pits level.
The Cagehttps://lucept.files.wordpress.com/2010/12/tron2.jpg; This vast arena is the epitome of bloodsport. Every last gladiator punching someone’s lights out down in the Nest dreams of doing it here, in the Cage. Fighters who make it here write their names into the history of Nadir forever. Each bout is a spectacle, with thousands of raucous fans and aspirants pouring in to watch. Credits and alcohol flow alike as the stark white floor is marred with red and black and green night after night. Nest level.
Red Roomshttp://68.media.tumblr.com/3dd5777b256dbea7c94532b5ee86f19d/tumblr_nld0fbrnVh1suggjpo1_1280.jpg; Nadir wouldn’t be Nadir if it didn’t profit from the oldest profession in the galaxy – except here, of course, it’s elevated to an art. Slaves or volunteers, near-humans or gamorreans, vanilla or chains; nobody cares, so long as you got the credits. Every pleasure under the suns can be bought here, and even some that have never emerged from the darkness. The Souk level.
Smoke and Mirrorshttps://lparchive.org/Star-Wars-The-Force-Unleashed-II/Update 18/10-nebstar_casino_1.jpg; This is a whole floor dedicated to the wondrous business of convincing people to lose more and more money. It’s called gambling, and it’s been going swimmingly since the dawn of time. Pazaak and Sabacc and Dejarik and many other games besides – all can be found here, spread out across tables and rooms of various buy-in levels. Small planets have been won and lost in these chambers, and whole lives gambled away at the whim of cards and luck. The Arcade level.
Cloudbreakhttps://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/originals/5f/ef/13/5fef13b0531f40050e65e721b440a4bb.jpg; The very peak of the Red Tower pierces the sea of smog and durasteel skeletons, rising to the clean, posh, and egregiously expensive level of Nadir’s rich and not so famous. Galas, private evenings, conferences and all other such events take place here. Anything that credits can buy can be acquired, from supple twi’leks to exotic fruits from occupied planets. Business deals that make or break whole criminal underworlds are the matter of an afternoon chat in these halls. Stardome level.
Though the Arcade has long been home to smaller venues that seek to provide similar services, never has there been an attempt so thorough, so vast, and so successful. After the last power upset on Nadir and its rapid expansion both in terms of populace and economy, it became apparent that the extant casinos and arenas simply weren’t keeping up with demand.
Thus the Red Tower came to be. With their backroom takeover of the shadowport, the Equalizers brought with them past experience and skillful associates – Roger Kranos and his trafficking outfit, CRC, came in particularly useful. Built around the concept of the sprawling Cream and the Crop in the underbelly of Coruscant, the Red Tower is everything the casino ever was, only bigger, better, and more profitable.
