The Ravenous Farlek (Pm for invite)

Kalyn had not been doing much recently, sure taking an odd job every once and awhile to stay afloat, but nothing exciting or interesting, just guard work basically, mostly just being paid to stand there looking intimidating with her large assortment of weapons, though Kalyn knew that was not her specialty, but it seemed to work well enough. Kalyns real calling was tech, you needed something hacked, she could probably do it, and even more so when she had her droid helping out.

Now Kalyn had gotten herself to Abregado-rae, and a bar called The Ravenous Farlek. This was the sort of establishment that tended to drive off your average folk. The place had a sort of edgy atmosphere, you definitely wouldn't want to bring your parents here for a nice dinner. Almost everyone in the room had some sort of weapon boldly displayed on their back or in a holster on their side, this was the place where the less than desirable people hanged around.

Kalyn took a seat down at the bar, probably drawing quite a bit of attention due to the droid +1, though its not strange for people to carry around droids, but something was different with this droid. It was heavily modified, and even had its AI loosened to give it a sort of human touch, though this would not be apparent at first, but upon speaking to the droid it would immediately make itself clear that this was no normal R7 unit, not in the slightest.

Kalyn let all of these thoughts pass through her mind, and then ordered a correlian whiskey, her personal favorite. As the drink was being handed to her her data pad buzzed in a very particular tone, one that indicated one of her contacts had a mission. Taking out her data pad, she saw that her contacts had noticed she was in town, and had a mission for her. The mission was simple, go in, steal some sensitive information, and get out, sounds simple enough. The contact said she would be working with another operative on this, one fellow name [member="Gray Raxis"]. The contact continued that he had contacted a few others, but if they accepted or not was their business. Kalyn accepted the mission and started drinking her whiskey while she waited for the other operative(s) to arrive.

Gray had been asked to help out with a mission to secure some data. He found that odd because while he wasn't bad at those kinds of missions people tended to like him for more combat oriented missions. He figured it wouldn't be so bad to do this kind of job though every so often and took it. He showed up to the bar he was asked to meet up with the other person for the mission. He didn't know who they were and had conveniently forgotten to give him their name or any information about them. Guess that meant they would approach him then.

Gray walked into the bar wearing his armor with his leather duster covering it up. His blaster pistol was strapped to his right leg and his vibro-knife sheathed on his ammo belt. His helmet was held to his left side as he walked in. The duster covered up most of his armor and made him look more or less like everyone else. He walked up to the bar and ordered a correlian whiskey. He waited for his whiskey to show up as he looked around the bar. The place was kind of seedy and shady, the kind of place he tended to end up for missions. He wondered who it would be that he was hired to work with. He just hoped they recognized him when they saw him.

After a while Kalyn's datapad buzzed again, this time with a profile on who she would be working with, along with a mission profile, useful information. The picture on the profile matched the guy who just walked into the bar. This [member="Gray Raxis"] seemed to have some pretty good combat skills, that might come in handy, the mission itself never specified whether they should go stealth or not, all the client desired was to not be associated with this little excursion, which seemed simple enough seeing as they do not even know who the client is in order to enforce this.

Kalyn made her way over to the man, and tapped him on the shoulder.

"Are you Gray Raxis?" She asked.

Gray was still waiting for his drink to arrive when someone tapped him on the shoulder. He turned to look at them and saw a woman with a droid. He smiled to her as his drink arrived in front of him. He said as he picked up the glass, " Why yes, I'm Gray. Who might you be beautiful? Besides the most gorgeous woman in the galaxy that is." He winked at her and grinned impishly.

Gray took a drink from his glass as he got completely turned around. He began to study the woman. She seemed capable to him, although there was more to it. Her droid was modified in almost every way imaginable, and made you wonder why she didn't just have a fully customized droid of a newer make and model. If she had done it herself though, she would be highly adept at tech work which would be a big plus for the job. Gray was no stranger to tech work himself, but he was no where near good enough to be considered a slicer or a techy type of person. His skills were more for getting past doors or getting the right ones to close. If she could do more than that, she was going to be a real benefit to the job.

"That would be Kalyn, and while im flattered, if you keep it up expect slug to the kneecap." She said taking a seat. "Now this job is simple, in and out data retrieval, as you probably know. If you want the mission profile its on this datapad, Now how are we doing this, are we taking the quiet approach or the load approach." She continued

Kalyn knew that how they went in completly changed how the mission would operate. If they took the quiet approach, she would need some forged or stolen id cards and the appropriate attire, or it required armor and a really good tech person (i.e Kalyn). The loud approach however just required armor guns and alot of explosives, it was simpler to get in, but harder to get out. Kalyn explained these plans to Gray, these were the options she could come up with, though she knew he might have his own ideas and was open to suggestions.

Gray chuckled at her response to flirting and said, " Don't worry darlin', I'm a taken man. I might flirt but nothing will come of it even if you wanted it to. Feel free to ignore me, but I can't promise to stop. It just happens whether I like it or not." He took a drink from his glass as he waited for her to finish what she was saying. She had laid out three options and all of them were pretty standard ways of going about it. He didn't know the exact details though, so he was going to need to look them over before he made up his mind. He took the datapad and began to read over it as he said, " Give me the details on the place we are getting the data from then I will make up my mind on how I want to do this."

Gray took another drink from his glass as he continued to read over the data. He hated it when clients waited to give information right before the mission. It always made things harder to know what to do when they did that. One of these days he would have someone just tell him everything up front instead of doing this last minute stuff. He got that there was security reasons behind it and information control and all of that fun stuff, but he was not the type to leak info and he could plan out the mission better if he knew ahead of time.

Kalyn read through the mission profile, the place appeared to be guarded on site, but not too heavily, especially after hours. Though the server room had quite a hefty security system, though Kalyn was sure she could bypass it. CCTV was also carried out on site, which had its own advantages and disadvantages, though it would just be simplet to cut a wire and get it over with, though this was not the case. Most of the guards were not that impressive, no more skilled than a mall cop, but the information they were stealing was top secret, and closely guarded, security ramps up near the server room, guards get more trained and better equipped due to this, once you get near the server room security gets closer to a low security military base, nothing she hasn't handled before though.

She explained all of this information to [member="Gray Raxis"], hopefully that will let him make a decision.

Gray studied the information as he listened to her tell him about it all. He was thinking through the steps of the plan after she had stopped talking. He saw that things might go smoothly or they might go to pieces depending on how well trained the guards near the server were. He went through the last step before he finally said, " I have an idea of how we can approach this. This place is not very well guarded, even when you get to the server. Likely they are expecting more of indirect attacks coming from outside of the facility instead of those made directly to the facility itself. If we get to the server and download the data from there directly, we might have less security to deal with, especially if they were smart and used a closed system. If we approach in more of a light to medium armor set up we might be able to make it a ways in there if we can convince them we are new guard personel. In fact if we do that we could probably be lead a good ways inside of the place. Once inside we can use stun rounds to knock out the guards before they know what is happening. Move the unconscious bodies to empty rooms to avoid them being discovered. We get to the server room and knock out the guards. Drag them into the thing and I'll put on their uniform and stand guard while you download out data. After that we exit quietly."

Gray set the datapad down in front of her as he finished speaking. He picked up his glass and took a drink from it. As he set it down he said, " What do you think?"

"Sounds like a plan, and guess who has a very nice set of mandalorian armor, might be able to convince them that i am overseeing security at the base." She said.

Before they could start they would need to equip. Kalyn had a fairly sizeable armory on her ship, filled with alot of weaponry, and most importantly her armor, hides identity and will protect you in a pinch perfect for this mission.

"Lets go equip and well meet at this warehouse near the job site in 45. Sound like a plan?" She said.

Gray smiled and said, " Sounds like a plan to me. I will be at the warehouse in 45 and met you there. Here is to hoping things go well." He raised his glass before downing it and setting it down with an audible thunk. He paid the barkeep what he owed and got ready to leave the bar. The mission should go well for them seeing how it wasn't the worst situation he had ever been in. The fact she had Mandalorian armor was also a big plus for the mission. Even if things went south at least they would be ready for what came. He left the bar feeling pretty good about things right now.

Gray didn't do much to change his outfit. He had dropped his armor and dressed in more sturdy looking clothing with his duster over them. He kept his gauntlets and boots from his armor on just to give the impression of someone who wanted to look tough while still thinking they were invincible. He had his blaster strapped to his right leg and his vibro-knife along his ammo belt. He had his helmet on as well, which made him look like an odd hodge podge of armor and clothing. It was the same stuff that a lot of freelance guards used. He just needed to wait for Kalyn to show up.

Kalyn finished her drink, payed the barkeep and left. She got back to her ship with her droid, and she began equipping for the mission. First she put on her armor, this would protect her from most forms of damage. Kalyn grabbed a silenced pistol, her revolver, and an assault rifle, that way she could kill silently while still looking intimidating enough to pass off as a security expert. Next off she had R7 hack into the security firms employment database, and quickly added her and Gray into it as employed at that location, she then printed out id cards allowing them to get in to most locations on site.

Kalyn then left for the warehouse, her droid would remain on the ship and assist remotely, Kalyn could do anything he couldn't do from there.

Kalyn arrived at the warehouse, and quickly checked her weaponry, she tehn walked up to [member="Gray Raxis"].

"Take this id card, it will get you inside, we are security advisors, and we are here to "test" their security. Now are you ready?" She said
