One of the command sectors in the Rampart's city scape. Designed to monitor and organise fleet activities.
STANDARD FEATURES
Gravity Wells: Embedded within the Rampart are four gravity wells. Capable alone of establishing a no-hyperspace zone in the immediate vicinity.

Gravity Mine Launcher: For longer term campaigns where a blockade is necessary for the defence of imperial positions, the gravity mine launcher can be used to dispense dozens of these mines at a time with its 24 launchers. But also to steadily meander through orbit and expand any blockade engaged.

Tractor Beam: Given its status as a command vessel, the Rampart has been tested with eighteen tractor beam arrays. Each is designed to draw and drag in smaller vessels for the purpose of customs, and border enforcement. As well as for repair and maintenance purposes.

Rhypalm Refinery: In the confines of the starboard wing of the Rampart-Class is the Rhypalm refinery, transforming the volatile and dangerous starship fuel in the New Imperial Order's signature incendiary device.

ISB Cells: For longer term operations such as counterinsurgency, the Rampart has an ISB section within the city scape, housing its own detention block and torture chambers designed to confine hostile VIP's and ascertain what information they know and or have.

Muster: There are twelve of these aboard. Musters being the boarding points of the infantry aboard the Rampart for deployment, or embarking upon the vessel. These are large targets, but are defended by substantive point defence weaponry, flak and quad batteries.

Manufacturing Hub: On the port-side wing sits the manufacturing hub. The Rampart has been designed to be able to produce in some quantity, weapons and vehicles. While not expansive in capacity, or ability to hold resources, it is enough to be able to replace losses, and reinforce garrisons on larger campaigns.

ADVANCED SYSTEMS
KriegsGeist [x]: The KriegsGeist is a combat computer system whose effectiveness is the equivalent of battle meditation upon a fleet. It tightens fighter coordination. Adds extra accuracy to the weapons systems and on the whole organizes fleet coordination better.

Corvette Maintenance Bay: For longer term operations; the Rampart can act as a support hub for smaller corvettes. Allowing them to dock with the Dreadnought and undergo repairs, maintenance or rearmament.

Logistical Hub: Beneath the Portside wing of the Rampart are special docking clamps which allow for frigate-sized transports to link with the Rampart and supply it with fresh equipment, troops, rations or fuel. However, due to vulnerabilities it is not advised to be done during battle.

Hydroponics Laboratory: While there are substantive stores aboard the Rampart, enough to supply five legions of troops, and crew with food for years, the Rampart does have its own hydroponics laboratory. Specifically to grow protein-rich fungi and nutrient-rich plants, Prefsbelt Command's genetically engineered. While not necessarily delicious, they are eminently palatable, and nutritious.

Vaults: Secure within the core of the vessel are a series of vaults. Both for the security of data but also for more tangible objects. The vault is designed specifically to hold treasures plundered during conquest by commanders to decorate their homes. Or valuable goods confiscated from enemy hands.

Communications Hub: For longer term, counter insurgency operations the Rampart is fitted with communications jamming and interception equipment. Along with teams of technicians dedicated to the decryption of hostile transmissions. The array of jammers available mean that the Rampart has the capacity to listen in on most conversations. But also block communications. Although this is typically limited to a single continent, or fleet. And must be one or the other.

Rhypalm Missile: Beneath the central part of the vessel lies its greatest weapon. Rhypalm. While ineffective against conventional space targets, and in a poor position to fire against them; the Rampart can however instead engage in concentrated bombardments. Ideal for levelling city blocks, incinerating forests, or melting glaciers.

Customs Bays: For longer term occupation and blockade efforts, the Rampart has specially built hangars and docking bays. Designed to shepherd in smaller freighters and vessels for inspection and seizure of contraband.

STRENGTHS
KriegsGeist: By having the KriegsGeist installed aboard the Rampart, it allows for the vessel to provide strategic support to fleets, similar to that of battle meditation.

Rhypalm Storm: With so much rhypalm stowed beneath the vessel, ready to be launched on targets below, it means the Rampart is an ideal vessel for supporting the actions of ground forces, or to clear thick jungles which may in fact

Hangar Capacity: The Rampart holds a higher than average hangar capacity, allowing for it to field and coordinate large wings of bombers to assist New Imperial ground forces, and naval units.

WEAKNESSES
Limited Firepower: The Rampart holds very little in the way of firepower. It does not do well in ship to ship combat, trading fire against vessels of its own size. While it could be effective against corvettes, it does not trade well with larger vessels.

Slow: The Rampart is designed to lord over a system, slowly patrolling and organizing ground forces. It is not a quick, or nimble vessel. And is vulnerable to concerted attacks from other vessels.

Lack of Support: Besides from the fighter compliment, its communications array and the bombardment capacity, there is very little for the Rampart-Class to do to contribute to a battle, provided its size.

DESCRIPTION
With the disillusion of the Bastion Accords, and Emperor Rurik Fel's assent to the New Imperial throne, a revival of previous political positions was undertaken. With the alliance dissolved the Empire bordered a great many political and military threats, and there would be a need to perhaps seize certain systems for the good of the Empire. Ergo, the development of the Rampart. Designed by Prefsbelt Command, there was a collaborative effort initiated with the veteran Galidraani Free State and its officers, to provide a vessel capable of supporting large planetary assaults, as well as longer term pacification efforts.

While the average Star Destroyer sized vessel could muster about a legion of soldiers, along with a supporting armoured and mechanized element, there was thought to be something bigger needed. Something stronger. Tougher. A real tour de force. Carrying five legions of soldiers, including an entire corps of armoured and mechanized infantry, the Rampart with its extensive fleet of transportation and fighter craft could land a sizable assault force. One large enough to overwhelm conventional military defensive doctrine which typically had an invading force be under a numerical disadvantage during the initial stages of an assault. By having such a capacity for the deployment of troops, it allows for the New Imperial assault element to potentially overwhelm initial hostile forces and reinforce any taken beach heads.

The Rampart beyond a large transport is also designated as a military headquarters perfect for occupation of hostile words. Fitted with a vast array of communications jammers, interceptors and decryption equipment, the Rampart can effectively jam communications anywhere from an urbanized sector to an entire continent. With middling results based on the range. This, coupled with its vast array of logistic shuttles and cargo haulers make it ideal for the long-term occupation of the world. And with a position in orbit, can dispatch reinforcements to conflict zones with some immediacy. Making it ideal for counter-insurgency operations.

The Rampart, however, in terms of space combat, is limited in its capacity. The vessel carries wings of New Imperial fighter craft within its hold, which can provide support. And the KriegsGeist allows for the reorganization of a fleet and fighters to improve effectiveness of escorts. However beyond this, there is very little in the way of the Rampart-Class to fight against other vessels. Its armament is primarily anti-fighter, and primed with countermeasures to avoid missile and other heavier ordinance. And the heavy ordinance it does hold, is primed for Base Delta Zero tactics, rather than a conventional offensive element.

This is a very cool and very wll made submission! However I found four smaller problems:
  • The first picture, please use the deviantart link, this is the original place.
  • Please link the NIO to the Manufacturer. Companies or minor factions cannot able to create 5.000 metres ships with semi-unique production scale, just majors factions.
  • Please link the NIO to the Affiliation.
  • And please add the Market Status to the template. This point can only be omitted for SSDs and the 3-piece Dreadnought. (so for dominion rewards)
Thank you for your understanding!
