APPEARANCE

No holoimage of the Prince is known to exist, at least not one in possession of any galactic authorities. Those governments he has run afoul of in his dealings have only managed to gain a vague description of a thin, older aristocratic looking man with dark skin and dark hair. Even the color of his eyes remain a mystery, as conflicting accounts by otherwise trustworthy sources have led those hunting him to believe he may have had them cybernetically altered to change or possess some form of birth defect that makes them hard to identify. Some witnesses have described them as "shining", so bright that they could hardly be called eyes at all, but the reliability of these accounts are more questionable.

BIOGRAPHY

If the Prince is to be believed he was born Nasir Drayen, eldest son of King Cyrus and heir apparent to the throne of Dubrillion. By all historical accounts his father was an ineffectual ruler and his son the crown prince was petulant as well as self absorbed. When the reign of Cyrus ended with old age the planetary court conspired to murder his eldest son and rule through Nasir's younger brother Armin. Yet a rumor persists throughout Dubrillion's nobility that the true heir was not assassinated but exiled to a remote colony outpost either as a matter of honor or potential bargaining chip. If true it is not impossible that this prince eventually managed to escape and was left to start over from nothing in the galactic criminal underworld.

Of course Ifan ben-Mezd could just as easily be an imposter taking advantage of the infamous Drayen name. So little is known for certain about the Exchange lieutenant's true identity and motivations. The Prince pseudonym has been connected to high level cartel activity and dozens if not hundreds of unsolved violent crimes. Rumor is that the Crown Court Casino on Point Nadir is a base of operations; its holding company an illegal front with interests ranging as far as Cantonica and Terminus. From his chain of gambling establishments and luxury hotels the Prince allegedly oversees all Exchange interests in the Outer Rim Territories.

Whether he is truly a Drayen the crime lord certainly shares their history of ruthless brutality. If half the stories are to be believed he cultivated his reputation just as much through extreme violence as strategic cunning. Whoever the Prince is he's one of those rare amoral souls, only loyal to himself and willing to do anything to further his own interests.
