Points of Interest:

City Center: This is where most people live, yet it is also where most of the fighting takes place. Blood runs down the streets like a river, the smell of corpses is fresh in the air with a sick smell to wake up too. Cannibalism and eating of other sentient beings is all but expected, as nothing can grow down here, and people don't often come down to bring supplies from above. It is truly a gruesome place of mass murder, starvation, disease and poverty.

Proving Grounds- This is less of an arena and more of a consistent battle ground, generally hordes of people gather here and fights in undisciplined “battles”. There are no barriers or seats for the masses to look up on; it is merely the most flat part of the city, and perfect for a two “armies” to smash into each other. Occasionally a duel between two people might occur for people to watch.

Red Market. It get’s its name for the blood that is often on the broken ground. A recent installment in the hellish city, since people have began to take a mild interest in the city; a small sector of trade has appeared. It is just as chaotic and violent as any part of the city, but at least some trade happens here. Food and working blasters is highly sort out for, people will often sell large amounts of slaves for a small amount of food, or a dozen or so blasters. The only real export The Pit has to offer is slaves are blood-thirsty mercenaries; it has no real value other than that. However traders that are brave and wish to exploit the terrible situation of the city will often trade small amounts of food and weapons for a large profit of slaves and/or mercenaries.

Coral Lands: On the outskirts of the city, this is where the Yuuzhang Vong dwell, these people are from wars long gone, and to too survive they retreated into the underworld, the far underworld. The marauding Yuuzhang Vong attack the city when the chance rises, causing even more chaos and death. They live in giant Yorki coral complexes, forming into skyscraper like buildings; they often retreat there after a raid. Some of the Yorki Coral has started to make its way into the city, a fear that the Coral will swallow the city whole.

Description: This city is a mixture of a ghetto, a war-zone and an urban hell all rolled into one to make a living nightmare. Its streets stink of blood and rotting flesh, the ground weeps red as blood cries out from the dead bodies that lay. This is not the typical place you'd find in the underworld, where you have crime lords that rule the streets. Instead you have warmongering warlords that fight with each other, not with the best blasters and viro-blades, but whatever they can get their hands on. The Pit has been in a constant state of war, power sways from one to another constantly. It is either fight or die, most people are warriors first, defending their scrap homes and starving families, being paid in loot and small amounts of meat that can be spared. This city is built on whatever ancient old city was here before, its just ruins being built on newer ruins more or less. There are no skyscrapers or even blocks of flats, just homes made of out cheap scrap metal or whatever people can get their hands on. Ships very rarely fly, fuel is low and the ships even fewer. Trade is rare among the people from the "above", yet is slowly growing as more people are aware of The Pit's existence. As crime lords come here to start operations that are hid away from the eye of authorities. However duo to the extremely aggressive nature of the place and stability being non-existence, it is a risky investment indeed to put anything down here. In the outskirts lay the Yuuzhan Vong that live within great constructs of Yorik Coral, it is said they are slowly massing their numbers to attack the city and finally destroy what isn't already rubble. People have to fight off the raiding Yuuzhan Vong, perhaps the only uniting force in the city is the universal fear and hate for the Yuuzhan Vong.

History: It’s not known when The Pit was founded, to be honest it’s unlikely it had a “founder” in the first place. The original city is lost to time, one day people started calling it “The Pit”. It’s people belief The Pit or whatever it was called back in the day, wasn’t as nearly as bad as it once was. It was just another underground level, rife with crime, poverty, violence and spice. But it was never as bad as this, never as chaotic and insane as it has gotten. Least back then there was some profit to be made down there. Gradually as Coruscant got worse with disease, wars and general decay the underworld slowly got worse. It’s not known why people stayed, but people did and over time it deformed into this monster that we all know as the Pit. The Pit’s early history was far worse than it is now, as no one took any notice to it, rarely someone might go down exploring to discover this hell but there was never any sense of trade, and it certainly wasn’t a tourist attraction. Perhaps the worst thing that has happened to this city are the Yuuzhan Vong, people from a old war retreating deep below taking up refugee here, and slowly reforming it into their own ideal version of a underworld hell. Only since recently has this place been given any attention, but one of its benefits has been its obscurity, no one from outside the city has ever tried to exert their control over it, and the few have that invested any credits or time outside the city often hold very little power compared to the warlords that try to control the place.

Intent: I intend to use this place to roleplay in and an attempt to try and create the worst place in Coruscant.
