Private The Pillars Of Wisdom

"Juniper!" She exclaimed in a hushed, stern-like manner, albeit with a hint of a smirk on her face that she so desperately tried to hide. Clearing her throat she explained, "Many Jedi wear them because it allows freedom of movement in battle, but also represents the Jedi philosophy of living without materialistic possession."

The blonde elbowed her student slightly as they entered, "But I find them to be terribly unbecoming."

As they stood within the confines of the grand entrance a number of things came to sight. The Temple Guard standing vigilant throughout the vast expanse of corridors and entrances, as well as the staircases leading upwards and the turbolifts to other areas of the temple. There were Jedi old and young alike, Padawans, and even a small band of younglings escorted by a teacher as they made their way towards the gardens.

It was all very formal and purposeful. Everything had a place. The Force flowed throughout the building in such a strong swath that to some, could feel overwhelming.

"Come, lets make our way towards the archive first. I would like to show you where the centuries of Jedi history and knowledge are kept. It is a sight to see, if nothing else."

Juniper's arm hair stood on end. A glance over would catch her observing them. She testingly poked at one, trying to push it down.

To no avail.

Jamie walked forward. She was left behind. Her head whipped up, the girl snapping to and scurrying after her. "Is this what the desert place was like? Before--" she gestured to the walls coming down, her arms going wide an nearly snatching on someone's sleeve. The orderly lines of padawans walking by made her look like a billowing hick. Not even her steps showed restraint, a skip entering them as she stayed by Jamie's side.

"I bet I could get visions here." Her eyes were wide and hopeful, imploring Jamie to give her a shot. The girl had yet to show an affinity for anything. Well. Anything but stealing things with telekinetic tugs. Like pricelists holocrons.

"Similar, yes." She acknowledged as her finger pressed a small button against the turbolift entrance. The woman offered a smile to the temple guard before the pair stepped inside and the doors closed promptly behind them. "Though that was ruin long before you and I were ever considered for this galaxy." The lift began to ascend upwards. "However the archive has a holographic layout of that temple as it were before its devastation. We could perhaps even find where we stood, if we looked close enough."

Jamie crossed her arms and leaned against the wall as they rode upwards. "You think so, hm? Well, we could certainly put that to the test in one of the meditation rooms." The comment came as both a challenge and a curiosity. Now that the pair were within the core and away from imminent dangers, training the younger girl could be more of her focus.

Juniper's nose crinkled. "Or the gardens?" She counter offered, turning and smushing her face into the glass as they shot up into the air. In the distance she could see green incased by walls. The figure there grew to the size of ants, and she woulda felt the need to pretend to squish them, but she was too busy gripping the rail.

Their ascent was smooth. Too smooth. She needed the cranking gears and the jerking stops to tell her the mechanisms were working. What was gonna stop them from shooting up and flying into the cloud?

She gave the ceiling a concerned look.

Ding.

The doors opened to another floor. She scrambled off like a sea sick drunk, another look of concern shot at the lift before the doors closed.

The cool, dry air of the archives hit her over the face. Shelves loomed over them, as tall as buildings, she'd swear. She swallowed hard, her concern growing.

"Those must be very heavy." Would the floor cave in?

Jamie laughed at the protest towards the meditation room. "Orrrr the gardens."

Along the columned shelves were rows and rows of holocrons each older than the last. "Each one of these hold information pertaining to the Jedi in some form or another. Whether that be historical data, astrological charts, hyperspace routes, locations of our crystal caves, temples, lore, and so, so much more."

A hand raised towards one of the devices. With a soft, gentle motion one wriggled from within its place and floated between the two. Jamie then closed her eyes and a moment later the holocron began to shift and reform itself into a new series of positions. A series of shards danced along the outer perimeter of the device as it remained suspended within the air.

From within a hologram appeared. This particular holocron contained the data referencing the very temple that Jamie and Juniper had visited, though in a more complete state. The woman lowered the relic and presented it to Juniper to view for herself, turning and widening the image with a few gestures of the hand.

"This is where we were. Hard to imagine it when looked upon in its present state of being, no?"

Juniper's attention turned from concerningly heavy shelves and back onto her master.

"But it looks so different," she uttered, eyes bulging as she came to understand what she was looking at. She pressed in closer, the holograph reflecting in her eyes as she leaned in to peer. She tried to place where they had entered, tracing the path from memory all those weeks ago. She still remembered the turns she had taken, she had thought about it a lot.

Left, right, right, down, left.

Her breath fogged up the projector, muddying the image. ""Here." She pointed, despite the wavering imagery. "What's that, that's where we were. What room is it?" She preened.

She wasn't going to like the answer.
