- Memory sharing and transmission
- Allows a user to give their memories to a willing recipient or recipients.
- Recipients can be a significant distance away. Quill, a Jedi Master who knows the stones well, has used one to give a memory to a small nearby village or someone in orbit.
- The user must be a trained Force-sensitive.
- The user must stay in contact with the memnostone.
- The recipient(s) must be willing. Even weak-minded individuals and those who can't feel the Force can choose to turn their minds away from the flow of memories, which will stop it so far as they are concerned.
- The memories are authentic. Deception and half-truths are not possible. The memories may even include other associated memories that the user does not intend to share.
- However, the memories are also subjective, strongly influenced by the user's standpoint and deep-rooted perspectives. Two Jedi sharing memories of the same events would likely find their perspectives somewhat different - hence the name.
- Will not work in a ysalamir field.
- Extremely dangerous in malevolent or unprepared hands. Sharing traumatic memories would be all too easy.

That process involved the elders sharing memories through the Force, a skill specific to Gutretee traditions. Quill learned the talent from them and used it to share important memories with groups of Jedi on several occasions.
An experienced crafter, Quill decided to make objects that could let Jedi without Gutretee training (or comparable skills) share memories. He envisioned the kyberite Perspective Stones as tools for training, diplomacy, and coordination. Cautious of their potential for misuse, he distributed them to trusted Jedi Masters of various allegiances, including Elise of the Silver Jedi,
