Strengths:
It’s hot – Can cut through most materials will relative easy.
Ol’ reliable – The simple and sturdy design, with little deviation from original ligthsabers, allows for a high degree of reliability.
Weaknesses:
Simplicity – The minimalist design means the lightsaber will cut out on contact with Cortosis and cannot be activated underwater.
That darn Phrik – It is unable to cut through lightsaber-resistant materials such as Phrik, Beskar, Cortosis, etc.
Description
As part of his early training, Thel was given the task to find and retrieve a Kyber crystal from Ilum. During this mission Thel would meet three new acquaintances who would accompany him to the Jedi Temple and the crystal caves. Whilst exploring the caves, The Force guided the Jedi to the Kyber crystal that was attuned to him. Upon assembling the lightsaber the Kyber crystal was found to create a green blade, the colour which historically indicates a Jedi Consular. Thel would assemble the lightsaber using the a standard, basic design that had been used for lightsabers for generations. This design does not allow for any usage in water or protection against refined cortosis. The simplistic design was chosen by Thel as he knew the usage of his lightsaber would be kept to a minimum due his pacifist nature; it would be used exclusively as a tool instead of a weapon.
