Private The Past still haunts (Past RP, Solo Thread)

Kesh, Tahv Palace, 900 ABY

Solan brought his hands up this head, sitting there watching the Seed that had been planted. It was the first thing that would be planted on the planet in so long. The first thing that would struggle to change the world around it while his people protected it. He would think calmly about all that he had seen while he had been dead, his sight falling into the Netherworld quite often during that period, struggling constantly to not fall into the void. He had seen so much that he remembered from years ago, so much that had been on his mind since the events with the Netherworld's encroachment on their side of the Galaxy. He drew his mind back from that thought for a moment before his hand came down to pull out the crystal he kept on hand at all times. He felt nothing from it these days, no part of himself, no remnants of Kira.

He brought his hands together in his lap after thinking about that fact, looking further at the crystal.

What was it now... almost seventy years since he had seen them? Seventy years since his dear wife had been taken from him, close to sixty since the daughter he cared for so heavily was taken by sickness. He closed his eyes tight, thinking about all that he had failed in his life. Tears starting to flow from the thoughts, remembering the last moments of his dear wife, the last moments of the woman who had done so much for him much in the same that he had done so much to keep her safe and cared for.

His chest hurt and he hated that he could not change the past. If he could have saved the both of them from their sickness, he could have given them such better lives, such kinder lives where they would have seen a life that wasn't filled with pain and hurt.

Was it so wrong to want to have them back... to have Kira at his side.

Those thoughts would fade as his shoulders dipped, his eyes closed tighter, and he found himself drifting off right where he sat.

Nar Shadaa, Solan's Apartment, 825 ABY
Solan blinked with tired and heavy eyes, his mind working through the previous day and how it had been. Alot of work that kept him busy and struggling to really make ends meat. He knew well that he would have alot to do today but after four years of being on Nar Shadaa he had gotten used to the grind of things. It was someone else he cared about, his mind turning towards the sick and tired form of his beloved Kira. She was busy tending to that one little flower they kept, their child in her lap while she did. He couldn't help but stare for a moment, sitting up and soon smiling at her. She was someone that he would give anything to make a better life for, knowing that they had to leave this place some day, but also that getting out of here wasn't that easy.

Still, when he was noticed, he simply recieved that smile, that warm greeting that he had come to trust and want to see all the more.

It made him smile back and nod his head, today was going to be a good day, he would make certain of that.
