Kat Kenrid
Greeny
Kat had been on a lot of jobs. Naturally, she preferred the ones that didn't involve her having to kill someone. But, there were times that it was unavoidable. She wasn't callous about it, but it came with the job. This, however, was another one of the taken in alive bounties. At least, that was the preferable method, 50,000 credits alive, only 5,000 if dead. They wanted the man to pay for his crimes, and most bounty hunters wouldn't accept a job that low paying if they were only out for the kill. They were being hired by a small mostly unimportant planet, but one that had recently had a bit of immigration, no doubt thanks to the Byrn or the Sith, someone trying to conquer or destroy their world. So they ran. The bounty was put out by Marshal Pondar Levith. A nikto, surprisingly, and was for an Ithorian going by Gugg.
"Gugg" had been scamming immigrants into believing that there were almost no residences left, and that without residence they couldn't have citizenship, and could be legally robbed or beaten without almost any consequences. Then he'd negotiate unfair contracts, often taking their ships or possessions in return for the lowest of the possible places to live, most of which didn't even have the bare necessities. It was becoming a serious problem and they wanted him taken care of before his business put too many people in poverty.
However, the Marshall also didn't want to risk sending out a bunch of hunters into the city who were just going to blast their way through to get to the target first. As a result, the request would only be taken if they were first spoken to and put into a group before being sent out. Since the price was not the biggest, the Marshal wasn't expecting the biggest turnout, especially with the addition of wanting them alive so much.
Kat was on her way herself, her ship was an old one. She really wanted to get a better one, but for now, this was hers. And she wasn't going to just let it go away for awhile she thought. It was good for bounty hunting though, since most of what she did was on foot and it could fit five prisoners. Not that you couldn't just fit any freighter with cages. Still, nobody was going to pay her good for a ship this old.
Kat donned her armor as she always did for these jobs, putting on her weapons and stepping out to head into the building the Marshal had designated for the group. She'd worked with other hunters before, some were better people, some were awful. She wasn't fond of trandoshans, those people didn't bounty hunt just for the money or for the need to bring people to justice in any way. They did it for the hunt itself. And that didn't sit well. But there were good ones out there, people who didn't just kill needlessly. Who either did it to survive or just because they wanted to help but didn't want to be stuck with a job as a member of law enforcement. Like her.
