The Oyu'baat Cantina

Raya realised that Sabik hadn't be joking. His brother widened his arms and Raya watched as the wonders of the universe reflected themselves in his brothers eyes. Curiosity had entirely taken hold of Sabik. Raya couldn't mirror the same emotions. His mind swam with anxiety at the idea of exploring the universe. He knew there was more to life than training to become a warrior. He heard rumours pass through with passing travellers. There were stories of great adventures and different lives to be lead. Raya didn't know who he would be in life but he was terrified.

The two grew silent as they moved through the markets. Vendors avoided shouting out discounts and bargains to the boys for they were only twelve. It was clear they had no credits on them, and even their clothes registered this. They weren't wealthy or well off, they were just surviving. Surviving together.

Mira watched as the two ragged clothes boys made it past her and the vendor she was infront of, a hand coming to the bottom of her buy'ce as she rubbed the besk'ar in thought. She'd follow them for a bit, see where they were headed - they appeared to be vagrant kids or even poverty-stricken. She was fortunate, she came from a long line of well, wealthy individuals in their own right - but her parents and their parents and the parents before them - worked for every credit chit they had.

Nothing was ever handed down to them.

She remembered her mother talking about her grandfather, Ember Rekali - she never met the man, but she was told he was a man of conviction. He never took anything truly serious unless the situation warranted such a thing, very laid back. She sighed at the thought of missing a chance to meet him, the rumors swirled around Yavin IV that he had come to Port Shardock for a time before returning off to wherever he went to again. A pity.

Did he even know she existed?

She made a face that resembled mild disgust - more like a "Meh" with a bit of attitude behind it. Where was she? Oh right, these kids. The thoughts of where they could be from crossed her mind as she continued to push past the people in the crowd to follow them. They appeared to be twins, yeah - she could see the almost identical features in them, and no doubt once they caught onto her...they'd panic and run or lure her into a trap.

Either one might be a mistake, considering she had the best of intentions.
