Public The Old Way

What was the Will of the Force? Did it have a Will? Was the Dark Side truly a sinister force or simply part of two sides of the same coin and only became evil when a wielder used if for evil ends?
These questions had been heavy on Nkri’s mind ever since he had found the Je’daii Holocrons on Tython and his journey towards balance had begun. As Padawan he had become frustrated with simplistic rejection of the dark side, and devotion to the light, for he sensed in nature of most sentients both. To reject one side or the other he began to fell was a path towards insanity, because the Force was the Force, of course of course, and nothing in ancient texts did he see really indicated it had a Light or Dark Side; that came later when the Je’daii split into the Jedi and what would become the Lords of the Sith. If anything that schism had lead the galaxy into a inferno of conflict that had lasted for eons. Was it possible to reconcile the two? If Jedi and Sith could see past their traditions and prejudices, the wars would end. A dangerouS idea. For then the war machine would lose its revenue, and the stars would know peace. Nkri was not blind, this philsophy wold make him a target of both sides, because it threatened he established order. And yet his aim was not to destroy the Jedi and Sith, no, he wanted them to perhaps try another way, from which they heralded, long forgotten.

Nkri’s had landed on Mygeeto, a frigid planet where the waters if one fell in would turn ta person to ice. Built above them was cities with honey combs of white ribbon lights:

The planet had a very storied history during the Clone Wars, and even as he walked below the great white ribbon skyscrapers Nkri could feel the ripples of memory there. His mask venting great puffs of breath like little smoke clouds as he walked among the locals, following the traces of the energy that bound all living things together. His lightsaber pike handle dangling on his back against the metal, the crystal purified kyber from a Sith Blade. There beneath the bright ribbons of light, Nkri began to meditate in the cold weather, waiting.. patiently.

While taking another breath he came to base of one of hive shaped buildings, and he noticed there was no one. All drew quiet, and you could hear the howl of the wind. Then he felt it, that screech of the Living Energy scrapping, of when he Light screams at the darkness of violence. The bolt flew over his head as he dropped to a knee, and then another, the breams were blue, indicating that it was Stun. Seeing Soldiers in white Cameo in positions around the circular honeycombs, letting fire more blue bolts, he began to run and sliding his saber pike off his back, he immolating the hot white fire and spinning it around, to catch some of the rings. Nkri was curious, the armor of them seemed the design of the Empire and First Order:

One nearby was using a heavy repeater, a constant blue beam like drill coming at Nkri who redirected it into three of the White Cameo Soldiers, which all began to spark and twitch as if stunned.

Droids? Or Cyborgs of some sort. They were persistant though. Moving on him like bees, firing evne from the uper circles of the structures, and Nkri having to time his command of the Force to catch some and send them flying back at them, one falling off and giving Wilhelm scream.

As the Young Je’daii made a run for some cover, he felt the ice shake at base of one of buildings and heard mechanical scrapping of the ground, and giant bolt fly over him and hit a sculputre, making it fall over.

Turning he saw it was a walker!

The Young Benduist made for one of tall hive buildings and began to run the circles inside complex, stun bolts flying over his head and landing around him,
“By the Force! These guys are tenacious!”

The AT unit got inside the building and began firing a rail like weapon that made one of round ascending circles burst into a big puff of smoke, and more blue bolts dancing all around him. The Je’daii at last at melee distance, thrust his Saber Pike into the neck of one of the Commandos, it sparking and it falling to the ground, he stopping to inspect in smoke covering he knew would dissipate.
“Not organic.. who is controlling them?”

Cin had been waiting for a pay day like this. Whispers on the chatter of a Jetiise of unusual devotions had been circling. Cin did not have old grudge that some Mandalorians had for Jedi, after all the Mandalorians had won those wars of old, making the Jedi form into warriors which ended up leading to them plunging into the Clone Wars and being annhilated by the Sith. For Cin all this Force Hocus Pocus was just that, a bunch of strange parlor tricks. Midi-chlorians, sounded made up, and those Jedi would believe anything their forebears put in those strange blocks with holorecordings, which could be fakes too.

Oh Cin had seen strange stuff, people levitate and lose their bowls impromptu, but technology could fake anything. He was not convinced these Jetiise and Darjetii really could do what they claimed. Still he was cautious and so he deployed he tactical teams of Annihilation Droids. They blended well in climate, their all white. One of reasons he had gotten he job was his fancy for cold planets. As far as he was concerned most of crazy farrik happened on warmer worlds, and so sticking to cold systems was better bet at staying alive. What good is it to get bounties and then end up dead.

The Target arrived right on time, the intel was good, so the other amount he was promised must be good too. Assessing with his built in zoom in his visor, Cin saw that he was armored. Well that was smart for a Jedi or whatever he was. From what he could see no weapons, but Jedi always had weapons, those burning blades that could cut through anything but Beskar, which he thankfully had all over him like most Mandos.

Confirming the target on his datapad, Cin pressing his wrist pad made the Annhilator Bots move in with weapons set to stun. The Bounty was to bring Him in “warm,” that is alive, but accidents happen.

The smoke was clearing and the AT Unit was shaking the building as it pounded it like a tree. Nkri dashing and making his way to the roof, where opening door smoke bellowed as if a chimney it was then that he was met with another foe this one caming rocketing down on him firing a hail of blue rings that the Je’daii began to bat away with his blde, when he finally could see that this was not a Droid, it moved with the cunning of organic, and so he reaching out with a free hand called to the power that was his strength, which brought the Rocketman down on the circular roof with its ribbon white light.

The plan was working, the Jetiise was ascending up to the rooftop, and there Cin would meet him. Hitting his thrusters on his jetpack to took off like a shot and came towards the circular top to meet his target. At first it seemed like it was going to be a shot and shut case, and then to his chagrin the Jedi did his hocus pocus and he felt himself slam to the ground. Vulnerable and on his face, Cin deciding to switch to lethals, let a stream of flames come from his wrist, that lapped at the legs of his enemy.
“Dank Farrik! You just had to do that Jedi Voodoo!”

The Benduist had command of his foe, and then as every Mandalorian is prone to, he did not relent, and the stream of fire came at Nkri who felt the heat on his armor, it felt good in this climate, puffs of smoke flying out of his mouthpiece, as he drew his Lightsaber Pike and let go of the Mando with the Force, he then thrusting, the hot white blade tip tapping at the T Shaped visor. The Je’daii did not intend to kill him, he wanted to know why a Mando and Droids was hunting him, and the only way to ascertain that was to keep this very angry warrior alive.

Cin felt the pressure that had bore him into the rooftop relent, wither it was magnetic field or some other tech, he knew not, all he knew is that a Mando on his face was disgrace, and while Ijaat (honor) was not exactly his obessession, he prided himself in his skills as Hunter. The Mando drew his blaster pistol from its holster and began to take aim with sparkly tip touched his visor, knocking him off the top of the roof, he hit his thrusters and rose into air and began to head for a pack of ice, and there he unslung his Carbine, and took aim,
“Alright.. I tried to bring you in warm, I guess I will have to just bring you in on ice!”
He taking aim with his cross hair, and got his sight on the Je’daii, tapping his wrist, a Droid came to roof opening fire at the Jedi.
“All too easy Jedi..”
He put his finger on the trigger and let fly a bolt.

The Mando falling was not something Nkri expected, and when he jetted off, he knew that the danger was real now. There was quiet, and the Je’daii could feel it, the smoke opening a Droid came firing stun rings, and he knew that the fact the Mando did not come back meant he better get the hell off the roof, when he heard the shot with his senses, and he grabbing the droid with the Force, swung it around to meet the bolt, a molten hole forming, and smoke with little bolts coming out with circuits, as he dove into smoke, and now was back inside, three more Droids, he swept his staff weapon, cutting at the legs of one, sweeping it legless, then burrowing the tip in another, while slapping another with back end of his staff, it falling down middle of the building. The AT Unit was still there, and Nkri leapt off, gliding down as it fired another great bolt into the balcony above, making it engulf in a ball of flame and smoke, he landing on the unit, and sweeping his blade at the head of the Droid, and taking the AT Unit, and began to march it out, he felt in the Force, sensing the Mando, and riding out he let fly great bolts at the Ice perch, causing it to shake and explode, with ice flying everywhere.

The Mando’s perfect shot took out one of his own Annihilators, and the Jetiise had the sense to go into the building, so he took his wrist band and command of the AT Unit, when the feed went static as he saw the Jedi take out the driver.
“Dank Farrik! This guy is pissing me off!”
Then he heard a loud noise, taking aim to hope get another clear, shot when in his scope he saw the great bolts of his own AT Unit come at him,
“Oh Farrrrrik!”
He dropping his carbine as he hit the thusters and BOOM! The entire glacier became like glass as shards flew and even one hit his back and threw him into one of buildings. Moaning he sat up when the building began to shake, from the AT Canon,
“How does he know where I am? Dank it!”
He took out his back up Blaster Rifle, and checking his fuel line, it was leaking fuel, so he took some adhesive tape he had on his belt and began to plug it.
“I take a job.. a simple one.. bring in a Jedi.. sure I knew it be tough.. sure I knew I might have to use methods we Mandos love.. but this.. what the Farrik?!”
He checking his wrist pad for what Droids were left, only one had sight, and he commanding it.
“Damn.. these things were not cheap.. alright.. going for broke. Setting weapons to lethal. Let’s kill this guy!”

Cin kicking out a window, dropped down into fresh powder of snow, and began to get in position,
“Bring him to me..”
The Droid was opening fire on the AT Unit, which came with loud clattering as it moved across the city grounds in pursuit.
