[SIZE=14pt]We the People of this New Republic, in order to reestablish this great government, do hereby ordain and establish this Charter of the New Republic as a means for the governance of the people, by the people.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=13.5pt]The Executive Branch of the New Republic is in charge of governing the New Republic and making sure all laws are obeyed. The Executive Branch consists of the Supreme Chancellor, the Vice Chancellor and the Chancellor’s Cabinet. [/SIZE]
[SIZE=13.5pt]The Chancellor’s Cabinet is a new invention for the running of the New Republic and it consists of a panel of experts on various topics who are referred to as Secretaries. The Cabinet consists of the Secretary of State, Secretary of the Military, Secretary of Intelligence, Secretary of the Interior, Secretary of Education and Secretary of the Treasury. The Cabinet is run and overseen by the Vice Chancellor. [/SIZE]

[SIZE=13.5pt]The Legislative Branch of the New Republic is in charge of creating laws and representing the will of the people. The Legislative Branch consists of the traditional Senate who consist of two representatives from every planet within the Republic called Senators and Junior Senators. The Senate is the only branch of the government that can declare war on another government or group. [/SIZE]
[SIZE=13.5pt]Tenant 3 (Judicial Branch)[/SIZE]
[SIZE=13.5pt]The Judicial Branch of the New Republic is in charge of making decisions as to whether or not laws made by the Senate are just and fair but are also charged with prosecuting high profile crimes such as government corruption and war crimes. The Judicial Branch consists of the Grand Court which itself consists of nine Judges led by a Grand Judge, the odd number of judges was chosen so as to never have a deadlock.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=13.5pt]We do hereby reinstate the Republic Army, to be headed by Chief of Army Operations, under the direct authority of the Senate. In trials of war criminals, the Senate shall be the deciding authority on guilt and punishment. Each sector (two hexes) will have their own Sector Army. [/SIZE]
[SIZE=13.5pt]Tenant 5 (Navy)[/SIZE]
[SIZE=13.5pt]We do hereby reinstate the Republic Navy, to be headed by the Chief of Naval Operations, under the direct authority of the Senate. In trials of war criminals, the Senate shall be the deciding authority on guilt and punishment. Each sector (two hexes) will have their own Sector Defense Fleet.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=13.5pt]Tenant 6 (Starfighter Corp)[/SIZE]
[SIZE=13.5pt]We do hereby reinstate the Republic Starfighter Corps, a more focused and elite branch than their cousins in the Naval aviators. The Starfighter Corps consists of some of the best pilots that the New Republic has to offer and therefore are the best equipped and trained.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=13.5pt]Tenant 7 (IOC/SIS)[/SIZE]
[SIZE=13.5pt]The Intelligence Oversight Committee is a specially appointed council of Senators who ostensibly serve as a civilian watchdog group, ensuring the activities of SIS operations are truly serving the best interests of the Republic. By extension of the IOC’s creation, the SIS is given full rights of Operation, under which it will maintain and support the stability of the Republic through covert manners. [/SIZE]
[SIZE=13.5pt]Tenant 8 (Conscription/Military Service)[/SIZE]
[SIZE=13.5pt]The Republic in times of great need and with little options remaining, can put into action a universal conscription of military aged individuals, of all species and genders. As such, each member of the Republic must sign up for selective service upon the turning of an age matching their shift into maturity, such as eighteen for Humans. [/SIZE]
[SIZE=13.5pt]Tenant 9 (Process of Joining the Republic)[/SIZE]
[SIZE=13.5pt]New member worlds may be added to the Republic at their request. No world is forbidden from being admitted provided they express consent to compliance with all Republic laws as laid out in this Charter and in further rulings administered by the Senate.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=13.5pt]Should the Ruler of a world not wish to join the Republic as a member world, there exists economic and defensive treaties, allowing the planet into the Republic’s economic bloc or even to become a defended planet by a Republic Garrison, even if the Planet itself does not wish to follow Republic laws. [SIZE=13.5pt]Tenant 10 (Right to bear arms)[/SIZE]
[SIZE=13.5pt]We do hereby establish that all citizens of the New Republic have the right to keep and bear arms for personal protection and for the defense of others. No law shall be made to infringe upon this right.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=13.5pt]No citizen of the New Republic shall be subjected to a search or seizure of their property without a warrant and the warrant shall be issued prior to commencement of the search or seizure of property.[/SIZE]
