A quaint forest on Corellia

The soft song of the water wove through the air of the forest as it ran its peaceful course down the mossy rocks of the river. Atop the small waterfall sat a still figure, a man who emitted a radiant quaintness that danced with the forests own peaceful aura in an immaculate display of harmonious perfection. The man we now observe was motionless, even his breathing was so faint and soft that it appeared that he may have passed away while he sat atop the rock. The people of the nearby towns knew the Asian man well, though not by his given name. To the people of Coreilla he went by many names "The hermit of the forest" or more recently "The mountain man". Every time the need arose that the mountain man leave his peaceful home to lurk the town for supplies, the children would gape at him and point their fingers and whisper "Hey look, it's the mountain man! Don't get to close he might take you and cook you for supper!" . These comments never bothered the man, whose given name is Yu-Sien, for he was at peace with the world and he could forgive such small children of their naive and ignorant remarks. After all, they were young and knew not what they did.

Once upon a time, Yu-Sien had a dozen visitors a day from travelers that came from all corners of the galaxy. Darksiders, lightsiders, soldiers and monks all traveled to learn the ways of the Aa'Kua from the Grandmaster. He would never take on any as his disciples, for none of them possessed the morality required to be a follower of Aa'Kua. They sought to learn the ways of Aa'Kua for personal gain and gain alone, they would misuse the information trusted to Yu-Sien and dishonor his name. After years of visitors, it finally became common knowledge to those who sought him would have little chance of being accepted and so slowly the ocean of visitors began to recede. Eventually, his name became little more than apart of a day dream dreamed by those who would never know the ways of Aa'Kua. Now the Grandmaster had time to do nothing else but hone his skills and use his years of training in Aa'Kua to accomplish a goal only heard of in folklore and legend, he would achieve synthesis with "Gylif" or in the basic tongue life. To do this he meditated and honed the power within himself, every little creek of the woods and chirp of the birds echoed through his mind as he brought himself into a deep peace....not knowing that soon one last visitor would come to his place of solitude.

When Atrisia had finally opened its borders and started reaching out to the rest of the Galaxy, it had also began a search for its lost sons and daughters that had been cut off when the plague had started. For some it was out of a sense of duty, honor, or a desire to reconnect to the past. For others it was a way to attempted to establish contacts around the Galaxy. The idea that families who had been separated for four centuries from their home world would be interested in returning or acting as informants was unlikely maybe, but that did not deter the efforts.

One such lead had lead to the planet Corellia, a man deep in the woods. There were countless rumors, many of them bad, but those in the intelligence business knew always to look past the rumors. The hints at a style sounding much like the ancient styles of Atrisia had been there for those who looked. Enough so that Akio had decided to take a look for himself.

Moving through the forest from the clearing his shuttle had landed in, the Republic Admiral of the Navy and Commander of the Atrisian Navy was flanked by a pair of stormtroopers. No matter how safe this trip might be it was decided that Akio could not be unnecessarily risked. In the end he had talked them down to only a pair of stormtroopers, instead of a platoon. "Over there Sir," one of the stormtroopers called eventually. Following the finger, the Admiral saw the figure atop the waterfall. It seemed likely this was the man they were looking for.

Moving forward, Akio called, "are you the one known as the 'Hermit of the Forest?'"

The forest shifted violently and all the life changed their directions of travel, subtle changes that no one would notice if they were no in harmony with the forest. Every small creak and slither pulled on the chi of the forest that connected with Yu-Sien's own Kai like strings to a puppet, notifying him of the smallest changes that took place around him. It would seem that three foreign beings had set foot in the forest and disrupted the flow of chi that linked the forest's creatures to one another, they were to far away to hear but they were quickly approaching. Still, Yu-Sien did not break his meditation, he simply kept an eye on the chi of the new beings and continued to meditate...he could feel Gylif calling to him...eventually it would be his.

Yu-Sien continued to sit still, not even moving when the strangers got close enough to hear. By the sound of it there were at least two in full combat armor which meant they were probably armed as well. Yu-Sein could have easily disappeared into the deep forest, but he did not feel threatened so he just sat and basked in the brilliant sounds of the water galloping over the rocks under him. His concentration was absolute as the beings inched closer and closer until finally

"are you the one known as the 'Hermit of the Forest?'" Came a voice from the nearby trees and still Yu-Sien did not flinch,

"Not the most endearing name is it? They do not understand my resolve so they choose to create a title for me that fits their own misguided view of my intentions." Yu-Sien spoke to the stranger that he had still yet to see with his eyes, as they were closed "Though it matters little what they want to call me, in the end all that matters IS my true resolve and how I stay true to my ways."
