SETTING INFORMATION
- Structure Name: The North Tower (on Planet Sub simply as The Tower)

- Accessibility: The North Tower is an easily accessible structure, previously seeing use as the planet's capital building. It has landing pads along the wing structures, and is easily accessible via ground as well.
- Description: The North Tower is Constructed from a combination of Marble and Metal, resulting in a stark white exterior, lined with a golden trim. The interior is a much darker shade, but still well lit. The North Tower sports two wings to either side, supporting landing pads and the living quarters for those residing within the temple.
- Landing Pads: Perched upon the wings of the North Tower, the landing pads serve as the primary entrance and exit for the Tower. The main source of cargo and supply, the strict security of the North Tower begins here.
- Dorm Halls: Located outside the primary security checkpoints, the Dorm Halls make up the residential suite on the North Tower. Built within the wings on the tower, the view from them is quite spectacular, if you are lucky enough to get an external room.
- Entertainment Level: The entertainment level is host to the Gardens that were started while the building was used for Governmental purposes. Now home to the mess hall and Cantina, it is the prime gathering place for off-duty Knights Obsidian.
- Mess Hall: A large Cafeteria from the old days, it features a number of balconies and alcoves to shelter the patrons during meals and discussions. Owing to its proximity to the Archives, going so far as to be connected by a central staircase between the two, it is a popular spot to conduct research between meals. If the Cantina isn't open, or over crowded for your tastes, the Mess Hall is the go-to meeting hall.
- Archives: Comprising the ground floor of the North Tower, the Archives are the primary feature of the North Tower. Connected to the Mess Hall above by a large staircase situated in the center of the room, many patrons choose to study in the relative comfort of the Mess Hall above. Containing a wealth of knowledge as a part of the Obsidian Network, what used to be a public network is now closed off to only those with the authorization of the Archivists that protect those halls.
- Offices: The pinacle of the North Tower is comprised of the offices that once led the entirety of Vylmira. At this point in time, they simply house the administrative aspects of the North Tower.
- R&D Labs: The primary function of the North Tower is to serve as an R&D facility for the Knights Obsidian. As a result, many of the halls and rooms that used to host training exercises and classrooms for aspiring members of the Luka Sene have been converted to laboratories and testing facilities. Access to these levels is strictly prohibited without proper authorization.

The North Tower, owing to its use as an R&D lab for the Knights Obsidian, security is strict around the halls of the North Tower. Knights Obsidian operatives patrol the tower, and all movement in or out is well documented. All items, weapons, cargo, or otherwise, must be properly logged or it will not be permitted within the Tower. Along the rim of the wings, a bank of anti-air Turbo Lasers stand ready to fend off unwanted visitors from the skies. Access to the Tower itself requires a thorough security check, and failure to properly announce your intent to visit the facility may well be met with irreversible denial of entry.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Originally constructed some time around the defeat of the Sith Triumvirate, the North Tower served as the temple from which the Vylmira Chapter of the Luka Sene conducted their business. A hall of learning and education, the doors were open to all. After a time, governance of Vylmira was split from the Luka Sene, and the two entities shared the building until the Sith Incursion, during which the Luka Sene were effectively driven from the planet. Shortly thereafter, the Vylmiran Council relocated to the Golden Hall in Vylmira City, so as to be closer to the people they protected.
The North Tower stood dormant for much of this time, serving as little more than a well kept historical landmark, until High Councilor Voph requisitioned its use for the Knights Obsidian. He deemed it fitting that it serve as an outpost for the Archivist branch, given Vylmira's status as an R&D planet. As such, it was updated to include the proper facilities to make it a proper Archivist Outpost, and formally surrendered to the Knights Obsidian upon its completion in 856 ABY.
