The Silent Stones

OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
SETTING INFORMATION
  • Structure Name: The Silent Stones
  • Classification: Open-Aired Temple
  • Location: Bakura
  • Affiliation: The Je'daii Order; Akro Sicmus, Temple Master; [member='Sargon Vynea'], Temple Steward
  • Accessibility: The Silent Stones are completely exposed to the elements, there are no walled off borders to keep people out, though in the eyes of most the Stones seem more like an archaic structure than an in-use Temple. It does not look like a sacred space at all. As for the Hidden Bunker, given that it is located underground, and its entrance is entirely out of sight, it is far less accessible without prior knowledge of its existence.
  • Security: There is little to no security at the Silent Stones; a single Je'daii Ranger can be found at any time within the Bunker itself, keeping watch over the Temple in the Temple Master's absence, but they will only step in if someone happens upon the entrance to the Bunker, and not if someone wanders into the Silent Stones.
  • Description:
The Silent Stones are precisely what they sound like, a grouping of stones standing vertically along a cliff overlooking the Bakuran Sea. Moss grows over the stones themselves, the ground has a very rough impression of a path created solely by foot traffic, and nature itself presides over the Temple. It acts as a place of serenity and focus for those who seek to meditate on the Force and find Balance. Beneath the Silent Stones, with the entry hidden away, a small Bunker can be found, to house the Je'daii Temple Master, or those who watch over the Silent Stones in his absence. It serves as a place of rest, of shelter, and features the bear essentials required to live modestly.
POINTS OF INTEREST
  1. The Silent Stones
Large hunks of stone standing vertically from the earth, spread across a cliffside in the Bakuran Countryside. A large drop lies to one side, while sprawling fields remain along the other, across the plateau. The sound of the sea beating against the cliffside, and gulls overhead, greet those who meditate in these grounds, bringing about a sensation of peace and tranquility.
  2. The Hidden Bunker
Beneath the Silent Stones, the entrance of which lays at the base of one of the Stones, a hidden bunker can be found. It is a simple structure, made to house just a handful of individuals at any given time, featuring a small living space and kitchen, numerous bunks for sleeping, as well as a series of bookshelves to hold tomes to study from. All of the basics needed for living are covered, and little extra. The only luxury found within is a holo-communicator, as well as a single holo-chess table.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Je'daii Order came to Bakura alongside the former Governor of the world, [member='Sargon Vynea']. Though he himself was not a member of the Order, he'd had a hand in the training of [member='Jyn Sol'] and as such was invested in her future and endevours.

He provided the Order with a patch of land on which to provide a place of learning and meditation, and assisted in the raising of the stones when the time came. At the time the Order was tiny, made up of just a dozen or so individuals, and as such when the bunker beneath was created it was made to hold just a small handful of individuals.

It was not put into real use until years later, when the Order reformed and grew in size, the whole Je'daii Council convening there. The Je'daii Padawans and Journeyers were given a small lesson, and Balance was explained to all who were present, one of the first times they came together as a group.

Since then a single Je'daii Ranger, an adherent of Akar Kesh, has been tasked with keeping a watch over the Silent Stones, in the absence of the Temple Master who was focused on restoration efforts back on Aurum. Je'daii Journeyers are expected to visit the Temple during their Great Journey, though a pilgrimage to the original Tho Yor back on Tython will work in its place.

The Silent Archive

OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
SETTING INFORMATION
  • Structure Name: The Silent Archive
  • Classification: Archives
  • Location: Azar City, Aurum
  • Affiliation: The Je'daii Order; Jeo Dundam, Temple Master; [member='Jyn Sol']
  • Accessibility: For the most part, the Silent Archive is open to the public. It is seen as a central hub of knowledge within the City of Azar, and in truth Aurum itself, and in the absence of any real school structure it serves as a place of learning. There is, however, a restricted section which is not open to the public, accessible only by high ranking members of the Je'daii Order. It is guarded around the clock, and requires several codes in order to be accessed.
  • Security: Minimal Security; There are of course standard patrols which roam the City and ensure that there is relative order, who will be alerted if anything untoward happens within the Archive. Aside from this there is always at least one member of the Je'daii Order guarding the restricted section, as well as alarms which are set in place during the hours in which the Archive is closed.
  • Description:
Like most of Azar City, the Silent Temple boasts a stark white exterior that glistens in the jungle sun. It is a tall structure which reaches toward the sky, seeming more like a tower than anything else, and each floor houses a different branch of the archive, from the main floor all the way up to the Gathering Hall which is locked away at the top.

Each floor boasts extremely high ceilings, and plenty of light which cascades in through large windows. Seats and desks can be found all throughout the main floor, small stations for individuals to utilize, though any seeking a quieter area of study would have better luck on the second floor, which is taken up by a study hall.

There are only two parts of the Archive completely off limits from the general public, the Restricted Section and the Gathering Hall. Aside from these, anyone is free to roam the Archive at their leisure, and even attend complimentary lessons and lectures which are funded by the High Queen herself, as well as the Je'daii Order.
POINTS OF INTEREST
  1. The Main Archive
The majority of all tangible knowledge on Aurum resides within the Silent Archive's main halls. Large shelves line the outer walls, swathes of information loaded into datacrons, written upon flimsiplast sheets, and locked within datapads. Despite this fact, it does not have the feeling of being a library, it is very light and airy, with a large space in the center to allow people to convene and discuss without interrupting any who might be studying. It is here that the Je'daii Temple Master, Jeo Dundam, can often be found, sat behind the main desk in his role as Archivist.
  2. The Restricted Section
Overseen by Je'daii Ranger Jyn Sol, the Restricted Section houses the majority of Force-related artifacts and documents that could prove dangerous in the hands of the untrained. The Restricted Section contains just as much knowledge as the rest of the Archive combined, yet the room itself is significantly smaller and categorized in a more specific fashion. It is guarded around the clock, and is one of the most secure parts of Azar City.
  3. The Study Hall
A quiet place for any who seeks to use the Archives for private study to convene. It features smaller booths which block out the sound of the rest of the Archives, though there are a few larger booths which allow groups to convene within to discuss projects. Booths must be booked ahead of time, or alternatively the larger room which houses them can be used though there's nothing stopping someone from being distracting.
  4. The Lecture Hall
As stated, the Silent Archive is the main hub of knowledge and learning, and as such it acts as a place to hold lessons and lectures for the inhabitants of Aurum. The Lecture Hall is a vast auditorium filled with tiered desks spread out in a semi-circle around the speakers stand. It is set up in such a way that debates can likewise be held within it, split down the middle.
  5. The Classrooms
Lessons are held each day within the Archives' classrooms, not just for the youths of Aurum but any who would like to attend. They are free of charge, though donations are accepted to fund supplies. Classes include basic literacy and maths, as well as more advanced teachings. Requests can be made for future lessons, though possibilities are limited by the individuals capable of leading these classes. Many Je'daii opt to host lessons, to brush up on their own knowledge and help the next generations make something of themselves.
  6. The Je'daii Gathering Hall
Historically, the Temple of Knowledge - Kaleth - was a gathering point for the Je'daii Order during times of great need or conference. As a result, when the Silent Archive was created they implemented a Gathering Hall within it exclusively for Je'daii use. There are inbuilt benches which are tiered, as well as numerous holostations to accommodate missing Je'daii. The Council have specific seats down at the bottom, across from the general crowd, though every Je'daii is allowed to voice their opinions and concerns during these Gatherings.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Silent Archive is an extremely new development, which was created alongside the reconstruction of Azar City. The City had been bombarded by the Vong during their more recent soiree through the Galaxy, and when this fact was discovered by the former High Queen, as well as the Order which had been established upon the world, both came together in an effort to save the remaining lifeforms, as well as rebuild the City and surrounding area into a haven of prosperity once more.

When the Je'daii chose to return to Aurum full time, they brought with them all of the volumes of knowledge they had gathered throughout their existence. A home was required, not only for these tomes but also to provide the Je'daii with a place to study, somewhere which would replace the old Tho Yor known as Kaleth. While an Academy was being built on the edge of the City, in its center the Silent Archive was completed, graciously funded by the High Queen of Aurum. Datacrons were donated, or brought from the Je'daii's former home on Teth, and slowly but surely the Archive began to flourish.

Though there remains much work to be done, and information to add to the vast catalogs, the Silent Archive is already seeing use by the general public as well as the Je'daii Order itself, its doors open to any and all with an urge to learn.

SETTING INFORMATION
  • Structure Name: The Silent Academy
  • Classification: Je'daii Temple
  • Location: Ceto
  • Affiliation: The Je'daii Order; Donaa Si, Temple Master
  • Accessibility: Hidden away upon a remote island on the backwater planet of Ceto, lost upon the very fringe of the Galaxy, the Silent Academy is not particularly easy to come by. Very few individuals are aware of its existence, beyond those involved in its construction and upkeep, and its nestled position within a small mountain range - added to its stone structure made of the surrounding rocks - makes it extremely difficult to spot from the air.

Forgoing all of that, however, there is very little keeping an individual from walking up to the Temple, provided they aren't adverse to a little physical activity. Set high upon a craggy outrock it is difficult to access on foot, and in places where railings have not been installed somewhat perilous. For those in the know, a small multi-ship hangar is nestled within the ridge to the north, with a small passage suspended across the valley proving a far more convenient method of access.

It is impossible to land a ship on the plateau which the Academy resides upon, there is simply not enough space to house it, and many of the closest surfaces that might be suitable are more or less vertical. Its location on the island was chosen for that specific reason.

  • Security: More heavily guarded than most Je'daii structures, the Silent Academy is home to the youngest of their Order and as such those held within are not capable of defending themselves in the event of an attack. Not only is there a constant patrol of Je'daii Guards present on the compound, but constant surveillance is in place along the unmarked perimeters which feature motion sensors. In the event that these sensors are tripped, a small task force will be sent to investigate the disturbance.
  • Description:
Nestled high upon a plant-strewn plateau, the Silent Academy acts as both a institute of learning as well as boarding for the Je'daii Order's youngest members. Known as the modern day equivalent of Padawan Kesh, it mimics the purpose of its Tython sister in that it is intended to set its Younglings up with all the basics necessary to prepare them for the journey ahead of them. Basic literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies are taught in abundance, alongside a rudimentary introduction to the Force.

Self-discovery and learning is encouraged, with students being given free reign on the contents of a small yet substantial library and plenty of resources to satiate their curious minds, and less studious activities such as meditation, artistic pursuits, and physical education are hosted daily. There is always some sort of small event happening within the Academy, things to keep the children's minds engaged and their hunger for knowledge satiated.

Though by no means an enforced or even vocally encouraged pastime, some students have been known to form small clans, similar to those witnessed within the Jedi's Youngling Program, directed toward persons of similar pursuits and interests. Though not at all influenced by the tutors who keep the Silent Academy running smoothly, many of these clans take on the appearance of being much smaller and crude versions of the nine facets of the Order.

There is a general calm and peacefulness to the region, despite the general din and chaos which accompanies such a large grouping of youths, with the sound of flowing waterfalls, the natural wildlife of the region, and the heavy ocean breeze a constant accompaniment to most activities. The air is refreshing, warm with just a slight bite to it that helps to rejuvenate any who steps out into it.

Boys, girls, and other classifications known to the Galaxy's more biologically ambiguous species, are all taught alongside one another, though for posterities sake the dormitories which house them are kept on separate parts of the building, and those for faculty are on another level entirely. The exact number of Younglings and their overseers who study and reside within the Academy is unknown, but the building itself is capable of comfortably housing around 300 bodies... Far more than the Je'daii could possibly need, yet it provides them with a little more flexibility, as well as extra privacy for each individual.
POINTS OF INTEREST
  1. The Sunken Gardens:
To the back of the structure, situated upon the same plateau, lies a breathtaking garden that spans almost as much square footage as the ground floor of the Academy, only the shape is considerably more irregular. It derives its name from the fact that in comparison to the main structure the garden itself sits at a slightly lower elevation, with a series of steps leading down to it.

An artificial stream flows through the middle, with a wooden bridge arching over top to connect the pathways. The area furthest from the Academy, across the bridge, is often used for meditative purposes, though a small outcrop features a botanical garden which basks in the sunlight provided by its higher elevation.
  2. The Glass Houses:
Similar to the gardens, though found off the eastern wing of the Academy, the Glass Houses provide a way for the young students to learn what it is to grow fresh food, as well as giving them access to fruits and vegetables to fill their pantry and ensure they don't live on purely non-perishables. There are three of them, one which houses fruits, one for vegetables, and a final one for both medicinal and flavour enhancing herbs. Behind the Glass Houses, in a darker patch of the garden, there is a similar setup for fungi.
  3. The Secluded Hangar Bay:
Hidden within one of the ridges across from the Academy's main plateau, the Hangar Bay is capable of housing a handful of smaller personal transports, as well as the Je'daii's somewhat larger transporter provided by Jorus Merrill. Starship access to the hangar lies on the other side of the mountain, and access to it is monitored remotely, while access from the hangar to the Academy itself involves a short trip across the ridge on a suspended bridge. It is rare that the Hangar sees much use, outside of fresh intake, supply runs, and the occasional visit from a Journeyer come to complete a leg of their Great Journey.
  4. The Living Quarters:
As simple as it sounds, this area of the Academy is dedicated to generic living spaces, from the kitchens and mess halls which see thrice-daily usage, to rec rooms that house all manner of activities for the children to participate in. Holo-vids and games are played here during the students downtime, as well as classic board games such as
novacrown. There are plenty of quiet corners for the youngsters to curl up with a book, or sit and gossip with one another.
  5. The Halls of Training:
Is here that Je'daii Younglings come to test their mettle. All manner of environments can be simulated within the training rooms, to encourage use of Sokan. Some even have permanent features such as vast sand pits, boulders, or pools of water. Students are monitored at all times by a member of Academy faculty to ensure that any injuries sustained are quickly tended to.
  6. The Halls of Learning:
An area dedicated to both solitary and group learning it is here that classes are held, both those dedicated to general education as well as Je'daii-specific lessons. Attached to these Halls is a small yet well stocked library which students are encouraged to use during their studies.
  7. The Halls of Healing:
Simply put, this is the Academy's medical bay. It houses much of the basics that could be needed on a daily basis, or in the case of an emergency, though it is not as fully fitted as many medbays in the Galaxy being that Ceto is renown for its medical practices. While there is always an adherent of Mahara Kesh, the Temple of Healing, housed within the Academy, a handful of medical droids can also be found within.
  8. The Dreamscape:
Though its formal name is simply the Dormitories, this area makes up the Academy's sleeping quarters, though the areas are separated by gender, and faculty are housed separately from the students. Each room typically holds one individual, though a few two-man-bunks do exist. Much like the training rooms, an almost tangible image can be projected into these rooms to aid with relaxation and sleep. This includes a simulation which will make it feel as though the Je'daii is floating in a vast ocean, lost within space, or lay within a tranquil forest.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION

The Silent Academy is an extremely new construction, built by the Je'daii Order in conjunction with the Outer Rim Coalition, and the Selkath Government of Ceto, to accommodate the Order's Youngling population.

While much of the Je'daii Order was at this time based out of Aurum, a planet which lay relatively close by, the world - though secluded - had not been without its own difficulties, and fears that an event similar to the Horde attack, which remained fresh in the memories of many, might repeat itself led to a desire to keep those who would be most vulnerable at arms length.

During this time the Order had also made steps toward forming specialized Temples in different regions of the Galaxy, most were intended to be close by Aurum which served as a host for Kaleth, the Temple of Knowledge, and historical gathering point for all Je'daii congregations, though one or two were already further afield.

As such the Academy was constructed with the idea of it becoming a modern day re-imagining of Padawan Kesh, the Je'daii Academy which historically held the youngest members of the Order until such a time as they were able to begin their Journey. Every part of it was specially catered toward the growth and protection of young minds, ensuring them the best possible start they could have in life.

Initially the Je'daii had looked to the world of Aaris-III to facilitate the structure, with one of their own Journeyers scouting the planet out. Therein she was met with a member of the Outer Rim Coalition's Judge's, who was quick to discover her reason for being there and encouraged her to reach out to a member of their 'government' in order to dot her i's and cross her t's.

While the area wasn't known for its steadfast rules or governing bodies, and claiming a patch of land would not have been particularly difficult or unheard of, Asha agreed to do exactly that and upon returning to Aurum a meeting was set up with none other than Jorus Merrill, a man known to the Je'daii for his part in aiding their people and their world after the Vong attack.

Journeying out to Redshift Station, Asha met with the Spacer and after a surprisingly short discussion, and an altering of plans, the main details of their exchange were drafted up. The Je'daii would look to Ceto instead of Aaris-III, deemed to be a more hospitable and safer option, and on top of this a ship would be created for their usage. It seemed Mr Merrill did not want a repeat of the Aurum attack any more than the Je'daii did.

From there plans were drafted between the Je'daii Council, Mr Merrill and the ORC, as well as the Selkath Government of Ceto, and an island was founded for the foundations to be built upon. Purposefully withdrawn from ground level, hidden within a ravine, the Academy was constructed in record time and soon enough the Younglings were brought across from Aurum to their new stomping grounds.

The Force Enclave of Svivren is surrounded by vast plains of forestry and flora, Svivren well noted for it's vibrancy of life swells around this location with the Force in that all things grow beyond the reach of societies care; the overgrowth is wild and difficult to traverse on foot, few paths have been cut through the woodlands by the odd and daring traveler, though this enclave is best approached from the sky via small craft be it starfighter or private transport. This location is not charted on any recent navigational computers and for all intents and purposes, this Enclave is not of public knowledge.

Security:

Description:
The Force Enclave of Svivren has been renovated since the collapse of it's former Jedi owners long ago, financed by the Commenor Systems Alliance this new structure is the epitome of modern day technologies and decor. The exterior tone of the structures appearance has been kept to earthly tones in order to make the most out of it's forest surroundings and blend in as much as possible with the rest of Svivren; there out in the midst of seemingly nowhere, the Enclave would be rather difficult to find even despite the presence in the Force radiating from within.

Inside of the Enclave, the walls and floors have been made of polished stones the likes of marble among others; a complete overhaul from it's former stature left in ruins, nothing of what once resembled the Jedi Order has been left here other than the layout for which now encompasses the needs of the Je'daii. Nuetral tones, no defining resemblances to neither the light nor the dark have been brought to the inside works of the structure for Veiere's consideration of those that might seek to study either path in the Force. The emphasis here however has been placed on what Credits can commit to the needs of the Je'daii where technology might aid them in training.

The Exterior of the Enclave has been set up with a Infra-red Motion Sensor Array to detect any incoming personnel not expected by those of the Je'daii. This system will trigger an alert directly to the Council Chambers as well as those of authorized and prominent position's personal comm-links.

To add to this motion sensor equipment, the Security Maintainence Droids patrol the forest for any suspect presence, armed with light blasters locked to stun, they are the first defense and back up for any who are able to get beyond the sensor array undetected.

The Force Enclave is shrouded within the power of the Force due to a former battle that saw to countless lives lost both Jedi and Sith alike. As a result, the Force here is far easier to draw upon given that the veil was scarred so.
  • Council Chambers:
The Former Chambers of the Jedi Council of old, now a place where the presiding leaders and most knowledgable of the Je'daii Order come to congregate and discuss the future trials and tribulations of the Force and how it is effecting galactic society, what this means for their practice as well as those outside of their Order.
  • Ceremonial Hall:
The Grand Hall for which Ceremonies and meetings of great importance will be held. Such meetings can range from delegations sent from other Orders, political meetings or conclaves held for all to come and bare witness to. If there is anything significant to announce to the Je'daii, it will be done here in the company of all.
  • Residents Quarters:
Where all Personnel and Guests to the Enclave will be catered for, here there are rooms private and shared for all members and ranks of the Order. The Guest dorms are held closest to the Hangar bay so not to confuse them with the students and mentors going about their day to day, yet otherwise quarters here are comfortable yet humble, fitting for that of the Je'daii.
  • Training Facilities:
Where Students will likely see the majority of their training alongside the Knights and Masters of the Enclave whom will instruct and guide them with the goal of one day seeing them Trained and take on students of their own. Training facilities range from a number of sparring dojo, an arena for greater exercise and group training.
  • Artisan Facilities:
A place for students and Masters alike to express their interest and skills in those of technological pursuits. It is here that those responsible for the Enclaves maintenance of technology extending to that of the Hangar in the interests of keeping their Star-fighters and otherwise star-ships of their guests maintained and fueled.
  • The Archives:
The source for all information a student of the Force might need. With access to the holo-net and the data comport for which most Archives have been linked to, those of the Order may come here to read up on subjects ranging from history of the Jedi Order, the Sith, the light and dark-side philosophies of the Force and much much more.
  • Holocron Vault:
A place of security for that of Force Artifacts collected by those of the Je'daii Order. Only authorized personnel have access to these vaults for the sake of safe keeping.
  • Hangar:
The Hangar is what it is, the hug for all vessels coming and going between the Enclave of the Je'daii and elsewhere. It is quite extensive and has enough space for a number of freighters and yachts to land and reside.

SR0fvAs.png

The Force Enclave of Svivren once belonged to the Jedi Order of the Galactic Republic far back within the early days of the rise of the One Sith Empire, there it served as one of the many branches of Jedi spread out away from the Core-Worlds to enable members of the Order to reach out to the southern territories of the navigational charts.

Like many of the Orders smaller branches, this Enclave was a quiet location of study and service to the Force. Jedi of all ages would be brought here to live out their years in training under mentors and ranking Jedi Knights, learning the ways of the Force, the light-side and then seeking to aid those in need, be it large or small tasks in any regard that might bring warmth and reprieve to the on-going struggles of the common people.

With the One Sith Empire's rise to power however came the calling for all branches of Jedi to assist in the defense of worlds being pulled into its regime of Darkness. Many of Svivren's Knights answering the call and by result leaving Svivren vulnerable. With the balance of power having shifted within the Enclave, the Sith dealt a decisive blow, invading the establishment of Jedi and wiping it out.

The survivors of this onslaught were numbered in single digits, those that returned in response to calls of distress were met with those of the Sith who had stayed behind to ensure absolute victory. Among these Jedi to return, Veiere Arenais turned the aggression back upon the remnants of the Empire, there the Jedi letting go of their restraints in the light and striking the Sith down, the loss of so many lives leaving upon the site a wound in the veil of the Force where it's power can be drawn from much easier than anywhere else upon Svivren.

For years since the attack, the Enclave was left in ruins; The wild growth of Svivren overtaking the remains and keeping the place hidden from all but the most adventurous of salvage's and wanderers. It wasn't until two decades later that [member=Veiere Arenais] would return here to meet the young yet enlightened [member="Asha Hex"] and soon be introduced to her following that was the Je'daii Order. An organization of Force Users that carried a great deal of similarities to his own beliefs and perceptions of the Force.

This meeting would soon lead to his voluntary support of the Je'daii Order; that of which would see this Enclave returned to it's former stature and dedicated then to their future.
