The New Way

A basin has always been needed for Alchemy. The ancient Sith Art had always been confined to the metal bowl filled with blood sacrificed. From creating Sithspawn to Sith Swords, this has always been a staple of mastery of the darkside of the Force. Yet it had always been so limited, making an Alchemist have to create another basin to use it in another area.
That was to change.
Darth Ferus stood before the Temple of Pain, dressed in the simple robe of any normal Sith. As always, he had his lightsaber and his hidden blade, but that was it for his equipment. Golden eyes stared up at the doors, admiring. It was a beautiful place, filled with darkness and misery. It was a place Ferus couldn't have dreamed would be made over the basin of Fresia.
[member="Sage Bane"] was to meet the Shadow of the Dark Lord to discuss a new plan to make the Alchemists of the One Sith a much more effective weapon. Give them the ability to alchemize on the field, to heal Sith Spawn and create them as if they had placed them within a basin right then and there. A tall order, but these days changes were needed.

It was a marvelous time to be a practitioner of Sith Alchemy. Every day it seemed, the arcane ingenues of the One Sith were discovering new ways to revolutionize and streamline the craft. When Sage heard about Darth Ferus' plan to make portable Alchemical basins he was highly intrigued and eager to help his friend and Shadow of their Dark Lord. If skilled Alchemists had the ability alchemize items on the fly, it could make or break a battle, and Sage was eager to hear how Ferus planned to construct a device.

Clad in the black hooded zeyd-cloth robes of the Sith, Sage met Darth Ferus in the Hall of Sorrows, walking past the stoic monuments of long dead Sith lords to meet the leader of the Sith Assassins near the great altar.

"Lord Ferus," he said with a quick bow. "I am highly captivated by this idea of the portable basin. Let me know what I can do to help you bring this device to life."

Sage had been working on his set of Dark Armor, and Ferus' experiment would be a good testing ground for both his armor and this ground-breaking alchemical device.

"It's good to see you again [member="Sage Bane"] . I believe this is the first time we've chatted one on one." The Shadow smiled to the Hand, offering a respectful nod. The youngest Hand of the Dark Lord was the creator of this Temple, and it was because of this that Ferus had a huge respect for the boy. Or man now. Oh how they grow.

Slowly he would let his golden eyes travel to the great alter, nodding slowly.

"The idea is to take the basin waters and make them solid. Into a stone. A stone that an alchemist can use at will to alchemize anything they want to. It would become a liquid again, controlled by the Alchemist, to cover the item and change it. Bigger stone means bigger area. But I'm sure with how much it can be condensed a simple stone could alchemize a whole person."

The idea had been in his head for years now, and finally he could get to work on it. A smile formed over his lips.

Finally.

If the Sith could have a way to alchemize items anywhere, it would be a revolution in Sith Alchemy. Could this be done however? And what about the other accouterments, such as focusing chambers and forges? Still even if this blood stone, or whatever Ferus chose to call it, only alchemized small objects, it would be a worthy device to have.

"It's a fascinating idea, Lord Ferus," said Sage with an excited grin. "I would be happy to help you bring this idea to fruition. I am just beginning the crafting of my own dark armor, and can test out the blood stones on the armor when it comes time to alchemize it."

Sage had the materials ready. Plexisteel, Cortosis, and Duranium sat waiting in the Dark Forge, ready to be molded and woven by the One Sith tailors and metallurgists. Sage had sketched out his design on his Datapad, and was ready to begin the laborious process of overseeing the crafting of it.
