The Mystics Of Voss

Soliael twisted his hand slightly, a motion followed by the sound of snapping bones and a loud thud onto heavy wooden floors.

Before the Sith Lord lay two dead men, each colored red and yellow, strange bug like eyes dotting their face and odd lines of pigmentation running throughout their skin. Behind him lay a similar scene, and another man that was still standing. The force wrapped around Soliael like a cloak, and reached out to the last man standing in the corner of the room. His eyes darted towards the Voss, his lips a frown as he stepped over the two dead men.

“Now, I ask again.” His boots thudded loudly against the wood as he approached the quivering man, his bug eyes shifting towards the other figure in the room, then at Soliael again. The False god loomed over the Voss, his face not at all amused. “Where is it?”

The Voss shook slightly, his head moving from side to side as barely audible words passed his lips.

Soliael strained to hear him, but nodded when the man confirmed what he had wanted to know. With a quick turn of his heel Soliael snapped around towards [member="Jared Ovmar"], his lips suddenly tugging into a smile. “It seems they did know after all.”

His hand twisted again, and another snap sounded out behind him.

There was one other Sith Lord in the building besides Soliael, and this Sith Lord was playing his own games while Sol was doing his thing. A Voss knelt in front of Ovmar, his forehead streaked with transpiration as he warded his mind, in an attempt to hold off Ovmar’s mind - in the grand scheme of things it mattered little, of course, and yet the action was appreciated.

Someone had to act as a training dummy.

The Voss was whispering in an attempt to center his mind, yet in the end it was all for naught. Spittle dripped as his mind was finally broken and knowledge seeped into the Ovmar’s mind.

An eerie smile tugged at his own lips and the Sith Lord nodded pleased.

Thank you, that would be all.

He turned around, leaving the man reduced to a potato and his eyes found his friend. ‘Yeah, I gathered that much from the guy behind me. So let’s go and find it? Doubt these… Silver Jedi will appreciate us ransacking one of their followers’ temples.’ Ovmar’s mouth turned into a sneer at the mention of the Silver Followers, had there ever been a more hilarious organization out in the Galaxy?

Hmm… perhaps the Red Magnolia Conclave. Those were pretty laughter-inducing too.

Soliael wiped the bottom of his muddy boot against the clothes of one of the dead mystics, his eyes turning upwards towards Jared as he made his comment about the Silver Jedi. He let out a slight chuckle at mention of the name, and then cast a glance towards the icon of the organization that hung over the mantle piece of this small temple.

“If I had to worry about the intentions of children I would never get anything done.” The sheer arrogance that flowed from Soliael at that moment was utterly tangible, it could have choked the life out of someone given the opportunity.

It hardly seemed to register with him however, and before Jared could speak again Soliael was already out of the temple. There was no time to waste here, they had what they came for, now all they needed to do was find it, however complex that might be. As he came out into the lush world of Voss, his eyes shifted slightly, adjusting to the bright sunlight and scanning over the small temples grounds. Half a dozen corpses lay in the courtyard, each one with a rifle or some sort of weapon nearby.

Directly across from Soliael sat two swoop bikes, and behind those sat several larger ones belonging to the temple.

His gaze flickered away from the vehicles and back towards the entrance of the temple where Jared was emerging. The False god rolled his neck for a second, then called out to his friend. “When this world was owned by the Empire, I made it a point to visit. The Mystics were always an interesting lot, though annoying.”

Soliael recalled old memories, and an old legend.

The Hubris washed over the courtyard, it was an all-permeating substance that even made a few flowers die of sheer audacity. But then again they were in the presence of a False God and a guy who figured he was close enough to a God… so Hubris wasn’t entirely unentitled.

Ovmar stepped out of the temple, the screams of the Voss swelling to a crescendo in his head - it wasn’t a pleasant sound, but it reminded him of important things - it reminded him of the cost of knowledge.

Yes, I wonder why the Silvers haven’t massacred all of ‘em yet. Can’t be a moral high-ground though, all those Sith Alchemy-powered gear they are packing makes sure of that.

The Sith Lord yawned and snapped his fingers, a cracking sound flew through the courtyard behind the man, then the front-side of the building simply collapsed in itself.

Mmhmm. Anyway, if the response-time of ‘em are as good as I think they are, we will probably grow old before seeing some action. Let’s start the Hunt?

[member="Jared Ovmar"]

“Won't be much of a hunt at this rate.” Soliael grunted as he moved over to the pair of swoop bikes. The vehicles weren't anything fancy, not really anyway. They couldn't take a speeder cause neither of them could pilot, and a shuttle was much the same worry, but swoop bikes? They both did okay on swoop bikes, a child would do okay on swoop bikes.

The False god slung himself over the bike, engaging its repulsor lift and signaling Jared to follow suite.

Within his last minutes of life the Voss Mystic had revealed to Soliael the location of what he sought, he assumed that Jared had received the same information from the blubbering fool he had killed, so there was no need to share intentions. With a harsh kick Soliael pressed the swoop bikes starter, and like a rocket he shot off in the direction of the Silver Jedi Temple.

Above him the lambda shuttle climbed into the atmosphere leaving the man dressed in shades of brown in the small clearing in the forest. His cracked, brown leather coat hung from his shoulders as glowing blue eyes watched his ride head to space where it would orbit around the planet awaiting his comm to return and pick him up.

A small grin creased his unshaven face as he dropped his gaze and began walking. He had come here for a vacation so to speak. And for knowledge. A two for one thing that worked for him. A low whistle hung in the air while he traversed the ground littered with stunted growth. The very ground was permeated with the darkside which resonated deep within the man.

There were two places on the planet Voss that held intrigue for the man. One was the Tower of Prophecy. The other was shrouded by the imminent shadow cast by the Nightmare Lands. The temple known as the Dark Heart.

So onward he walked deeper into the Nightmare Lands as the farther in he went the more things deteriorated. Many had fallen insane due to the very power of the darkside that ebbed and flowed within the shadowed borders. But for a man who had tasted insanity and liked it's brew, the Nightmare Lands felt like a homecoming. He basked in the waves of the darkside of the force as if he was laying out for a tan. It filled his being with power and a hunger. A hunger he sought to satisfy.

But even though he felt the overwhelming aura of darkness he still sensed two beacons of darkness nearby. The mad man known as Muad Dib laughed. The more the merrier.

The Sith Lord looked up to the sky and could feel the currents of the planet shift beneath his gaze, probability changed again and again, until he opened his eyes again and exhaled. Hadn’t even realized that he was holding his breath, waiting for something… anything.

Moment passed though and Sol and him were still alone here.

Ovmar shrugged and moved to take the other vehicle, it was strange though that the Silver Jedi hadn’t deemed it fit to send anyone to check the disturbance out.

It wasn’t like either of them had been trying to make this stealthy.

Maybe it was because they hadn’t been targeting one of their Fortresses or whatever they had that served such a capacity. Still… holding territory meant defending it, otherwise the Voss wouldn’t have agreed to play host for ‘em, right?

Strange… very strange.

I can feel ‘em, Sol. Let’s roll.

And then they moved out towards their destination.

He paused crouching by a massive tree that had a sickly sheen to it's trunk. Ahead were two men fighting. Both were bedraggled and bleeding from a prolonged battle and even as one pinned the other to the ground with one arm and bashed his enemy's skull in with a tree limb Muad sensed the anger, hatred, and insanity resonating in the force.

A delicacy he savored as the victor stood and looked at where Muad was hidden, or so he thought. Rising he stepped away from the tree and watched as the other man pulled a lightsaber and ignited it's yellow blade. Narrowed glowing blue eyes watched as the man slowly greyed until he had frozen unmoving with lightsaber held high as a beacon.

Walking forward he paused before the figure before reaching out a hand to tap on the forehead. A solid thunk sounded. Chuckling Muad shook his head at the petrified statue of what once had been a man. Walking past the statue he looked down upon the body with the ruined skull. Oddly the blood that had pooled had been absorbed into the ground and as he watched the body slowly began to sink as well.

Stepping back he felt a probe in his mind from some dark entity nearby. The pain was overwhelming and exquisite. But the probe found no purchase in his mind and retreated. Falling the powerful presence Muad continued deeper into the Nightmare Lands.

Soliael shot over the surface of Voss at only speeds that swoop bikes could achieve. The air rushed over his face, shattering his cloak and brushing against his skin at the point of freezing it, but he didn't slow down. As Jared had said, they were here, they were coming, and they would likely be none too pleased.

It wasn't that Soliael thought of them as any sort of threat, he was confident that they could kill any Jedi that came at them, it was more that he didn't want what they came for to be removed. If the Silver Jedi caught wind of what he was trying to do, then it would be fairly easy for them to foil him, especially giving what he had learned from the Mystic. That simply could not be allowed. He pressed the controls forward, pushing the swoop bike faster and faster.

In the distance, he began to see the outline of a Temple.

“Jared. Were getting close.” He called out over the radio to his friend, making sure he knew. The gloves on his hands tightened as his fingers curled. The Temple was fast approaching.

Giving a long sigh with the rolling of her eyes. Why coudn't her little tag along stay at the healer temple that was being rebuilt. After all it didn't take two of them to go walk all of the matriarch beast. Looking at the fact that she had been reading up on some of these creatures. Still not wanting to believe someone like this Zeltron healer would want to keep pets that could have one for a snack. Each step she made deeper in the forest that was twisted with vines rotten fallen trees.

Shalla get you butt to moving then she heard that she was looking at some planet. 'Yess that nice please let just get this done.", now looking around with her hands on her hips. 'Just where did those packs of AKK dogs. As she smell noting but nature how could one stand it out where there so much life coming from the plants. It was almost a sicking for her stomach. Stopping as she reach out in the force it wasn't what thought should be there.

"Shalla go this way look for the pack, and see if you can find that Vine cat oh yea look for that Kaut Dragon. I don't think I seen her in a while either.", as she went off in the direction of the what she would call a curiosity.

"Now if I can remember what that damn Vine kitty name was.", all she knew was all those creatures that wasn't part of Voss not that Voss didn't have dangerous running around before they got here. Still didn't help with what Master Whitelight had brought creatures and planet.

The temple if they made it that far would be that of the Healers after all Maya had found it deep with in the forest. Needing work and to be purged of the darkness with in its walls yet. It had begin but it was a slow process. Anything it had been done on the main floor and some of the room set up for healer training now. It was what lurked bellow that had Master Whitelight on high guard.

Shiva had her own personal goal that was to find some more of her sister to releave them to find bodies to take a hold of. Little had work since coming back to the temple fist off she had been given the this place to come with her sister. Knowing that she was far from a healer. In a way she didn't know what she was to the silver jedi yet. On with her training she would push herself. Already learning a lot from her own Master.

And there is it was. A triangular building four meters tall. It was small for a temple if one didn't know this was just the tip and the rest of it was hidden underneath the earth. Walking into the green lit interior he slowly turned. The sickly color matched the sickly feeling emanating from below. He grinned as he walked to the stairwell in the back.

Descending each flight opened into an arched entrance into the ever enlarging floors. But every time he paused he sensed what he needed was deeper still. Some of the entrances were closed off while others opened into long halls with doors on either side. But despite the plethora or avenues he could take he was continually drawn deeper into the complex.

All the while a presence grew stronger in the force.

Not soon before long the two Sith Lords find themselves approaching a different temple, it was their final destination on this Jediforsaken planet - at least if they didn’t decide to take a few more detours and start a genocide on these guys.

They parked their vehicles and stepped out, one of the guards tried to challenge them. Didn’t come far though, before he decided it would be better to attack his comrade. With a warcry he fell on him and they started to battle it on.

Ovmar yawned.

You’re up, bro.

Sol would probably try to one-up him with some intricate magicka death field that laid waste to half the temple with a single snap of the fingers.

Soliael didn't bother poking into the guards mind, nor did he even bother looking at them. He was here for one objective and one objective alone, the guards were of no consequence. When they raised their blasters they were simply met with an upturned hand, a thin line of dark red sliced through the air almost as soon as Soliaels palm came up.

The line passed through the four guards, though it didn't cut them. Instead as soon as the line touched them they began to tear apart, their flesh, muscles, the very molecules that composed them seemed to rip apart at their very base. Within seconds, the four men that had raised their rifle towards Soliael were naught but dust. The False god disregarded them, and stalked into the core of the temple, a foreboding wave of darkness rushing from him as he took to the steps.

“The faster we do this. The Less attention we draw.” Soliael called out to Ovmar as he reached the apex of the temples entrance.

The sound of a lightsaber snapping into life could be heard, followed by another, then another, and even more. The Sith Lord smiled slightly, at least they knew they had the right place this time. There were surely more guards, more defenses in the temple than those they had just met. Yet it seemed that the Jedi would be taking their own interest in the two Sith Lords who had come to call.

Just as well.

Looking towards their temple only to feel something coming from it a bit off. It was what could or in other words not seen in the force. Smirking spread across her lips. After which time she heard her sister in her head. After which time she couldn't help but go in the direction that she had been calling her in. After which time she wanted to go see what she felt in the force back int he temple for now she would go to help aid her sister.

Now just what kind of trouble had the poor thing gotten herself into this time. After all she knew the dangerous animals that roamed these dark woods. Finding herself over whelming to push on to the next place that one would expected her to be. Finding it hard to be that they was from the some gene pool.

Deep with in the temple
Only the brightens of its life
Shading of many leaves of its life time.
Seeing that there wasn't anything she could do for the poor souls that seem to be the ripple in the life pool she had put herself in. Finding more and more herself deep with in its tunnel system under the temple a very old looking. Picking herself up very slowly only to find herself moved through the inner halls. In this very place it seem that there was more here then met the eye. As she had started to heal the place herself. To find that there wasn't all that need to be healed. The very walls had their own stories written so many years ago of the moon cycle.

As she let her own force signuture but flowing out of her now. Finding herself able to draw from the very place himself. It was still nothing she wished to use unless she had two. Feeling that this would be the only want to stop from their being more ripples in the pool. Coming up before she even got there she made herself knowin by a couple of ways. Only herself new that really lurked deeper with in these very walls or so she thought.

Making her voice heard before she was sense knowing she light up like that of a twin moon sun planet. "I wished for you to stop with the kill, ", it was in her voice then anything the way she said it met no disresct then she heard the whisper of the force. "I"m Master Healer here we wish you no more harm. That you have my own word they will not raise another weapon at you or they will answer to the Marchera, that would be me.", as she then step out of the shadow full of the light but of mystery with in. It was what she wore this very day. As she wasn't ready for their to be guest at their temple. What seem to be random tatoos was more then that there was other that knew the story that was these was made put on by a deeper magic a sith one some she carried since birth some she had gotten just a few years ago.

"State your business.", as her eyes started to take on

When Ovmar had been a little kid his life had been filled with dread, despair and fear, the kind of fear which made you piss down your breeches and froze all your limbs up at once. The kind of fear which kept you up all night trying to sleep with one eye open - just so nobody could sneak up on ya.

That time was long over and the Ovmar was no longer a little kid afraid of the shadows clinging to his silhouette, so when somewhere deeper in the Temple the Sith Lord heard the lightsabers get switched on only a grin reflected his emotions.

Let’s roll.’ he replied simply and walked side by side with his friend into the fray of battle. Four Jedi stood waiting for them, two of ‘em holding ignited lightsabers, one wielding two blasters and the last one twirling some kind of strange, exotic staff weapon.

A fierce display if anything, yet the two Sith Lords were not even close to being afraid… because they didn’t play by the rules.

Ovmar clapped his hands together and the sound echoed across the room, bouncing ‘cross walls and arriving in the ears of the Jedi standing watch before them. Yet the sound didn’t stop, it continued to echo in their ears even after the initial sound had finished its traversal through space and the wave had ended its motion.

It was all an illusion of course, but when two of ‘em were trashing uncontrollably on the ground, blood seeping from their ears… it didn’t really matter anymore.

Last two are yours, finish them.

Darkness was not always the friend it had once been having now followed her father's footsteps into the decisions of choice of good or evil the force came when she bid it to, but there were times it seemed to laugh at her taunting her to bend it to her will. She shook her head she had felt pulled to this place, not knowing what was here. It reminded her of another place and time.

The small ship that she had borrowed to make this trip cut their the atmosphere the cloud pushing by hiding her one moment exposing her the next. She spun it around to head into a place that was open and looked sturdy enough to hold the weight of the ship. Voss and its vegetation were a challenge all on its own. She quickly moved around securing everything she could taking only her lightsaber.

Outside she could feel the presence of others interesting their presence here. But just as she took a few steps there was a familiar draw, a familiar presence. She laughed so what was he doing here, playing among the ruins, the skeletons again.

She paused, Muadie she called to him. Was he in tune enough to hear her call?

[member="Muad Dib"]

He had reached the bottom and found himself in a small enclosure three meters by three meters. The blue eyes glowed faintly in the darkness. Slowly he lowered himself onto his knees and closed his eyes feeling through the force what his other senses denied truth. There was something deeper, something old, something hungry.

His fingers traced through the dust layering the floor following instinct. He felt the lines in the force, crisscrossing with power. Each point he reached flared a hidden sith rune etched within the stone floor. With each rune that flared into existence Muad felt the darkness from below growing.

There was something deeper, something ancient, something hungry.

His fingers traced through the dust layering the floor following instinct. He felt the lines in the force crisscrossing with power. Each point he reached flared a hidden sith rune etched within the stone floor. With each rune that flared into existence Muad felt the darkness from below growing and reaching out with tendrils of hate and malice.

The final rune flared and the floor disappeared beneath him dropping him into a free fall.

His feet hit and he flipped forward breaking up his momentum as he rolled across the floor. Slowly he stood and looked around. The walls could not be seen in either direction. But a presence grew as he waited. Then he felt a warmth from deep within. A grin crossed his face as he reached out. Hey ya Belly.

[member="Arabella Darkhold"]

Arabella could now sense him, Maudie are you playing in the ruins without me Arabella began to walk casually, she and Maudie had met over ruins it would only seem fitting that they investigate more. She looked down at her arm where the three sith runes were from their last trip into the unknown.

He was further away than she thought and catching him would take time she would not ask him to wait for her but to keep moving. It was necessary to keep moving when something seemed to be chasing you through ruins.

You be careful my Maudie don't make me hurt you

She smiled and still moved to where she could feel the pull of the force.

[member="Muad Dib"]

He smiled as he felt her words. For you my lov, you can hurt me all you want. I just might like it. Grinning he turned slowly as his eyes began to acclimate to the darkness. The wraiths danced at the edge of his lin of vision, dark shadows of transparency. What he couldn't see he felt in the force.

Walking forward to the flitting force ghosts he felt the dismay, pain, and rage echod from them, remnants of emotions long past. He passed through one such spectral and felt memories. One such that grasped at his mind was of a jedi tricked, captured, and murdered by a dark entity. One that should have been gone but as of yet lurked deep within the catacombs beneath the temple. The memory was one of outrage, loss, and warning for those souls drawn to the calling darkness from below.

A wave of his hand dispersed the specter as a mist. The call of darkness grew stronger as he walked from the lighted circle and deeper within. A grin split his face knowing his lover was coming to join hm on this adventure. But his smile was short lived as from the distant night of the catacombs walked three hunched forms that radiatde the darkside of the force. Massive sithspawn with vibroaxes ounted on their forearms and spikes sprouting from their bodies, glistening wetly.

Come Bella, let us explore anew.
