DESCRIPTION

Sharing far more in common with a religious cult than a conventionally run corporation, the Mechanicum is a newly emerged industrial powerhouse operating primarily within Trailing Sectors and Mid Rim. Founded under the auspices of a recently anointed Metal Lord, Archim Calixis, the manufacturer is comprised of a series of industrial scale spiritual communes devoted to engineering and production as a form of worship. Servants of the Mechanicum are predominantly droids and cyborgs, but the organization is noteworthy (even controversial), in its welcoming of baseline organics who they believe genuinely share their faith. Controversial, because voluntary augmentation is promoted so heavily, to the extent that one could say it is necessary for advancement within the hierarchy.

The Forge-Bound believe in a Machine God, to them an equivalent figure to the Maker, who touches the natural universe through what they call the Core or Motive Force. Worship of this theoretical energy field tuned specifically for mechanical life has drawn significant interest from a sect of Mechanus technomancers who have incorporated themselves into the Mechanicum's hierarchy as a sort of warrior nobility, serving as guards, fixers, and couriers between each commune, or Forge. The vast majority of the Forge-Bound see Archim as a prophet figure, and so for now the organization is run in an authoritarian manner, with an advisory council reporting directly to Calixis, and charged with the responsibility of managing the bureaucracy below them to make the Metal Lord's will manifest.

So far, that will has been to create, everything from ships to speeders to droids to blasters. The only limitation on the Mechanicum's willingness to build is the rate at which it can recruit more bodies. That being said, while the organization is almost pious in its devotion to selling to absolutely anyone, it is also of course subject to the whims of its masters. Much of what it produces for the Confederacy is heavily subsidized, and it likewise offers favorable deals to SoroSuub Corporation and their allies, with whom Calixis has had a prior relationship.

RATIONALE
Formerly a lab director for the research and development division of SoroSuub, when Archim discovered the Council of Sparklords under the ruins of Mechanus as well as a sect of technomancers who shared in his belief in the Machine God, he resigned his position and started a new organization, named for the world upon which he received his revelation. The Forge-Bound of the Mechanicum serve the Machine God above all others, and as long as they believe him to be a chosen servant of this power that means they follow him unquestioningly.

Please tone down the number of your locations and remove one of the operations, and this should be good to go.
