SPECIAL FEATURES
Strengths:
+ Sensor Baffling: They won't see you until you're right in front of them. Scanners and HUD systems cannot pick up traces of heat or lifesigns obscured by the cloak. If the opponent has a visual, however, it won't stop them from relaying information on where the wearer is, or attacking them directly.
+ Weatherman be damned: Offering a modicum of warmth on cold nights, and some protection from harsh sunlight on a blazing hot day, the cloak has genuine value for a vagabond.
Weaknesses:
- No defensive value: Spun from cloth, it offers little to nothing in the way of defense. A blade might get caught in the folds or tied up by a smart wearer, but this cloak will not stop rounds or blaster fire on its own.
-For best results: Movement can give away the position of the wearer to sensors while the cloak is shifting or blowing in the wind. Remaining motionless or moving very slowly is necessary if the wearer is trying to maintain a concealed position.
DESCRIPTION
When he made his decision to leave, Alkor knew there would be many questions. He knew there would be angry brothers and sisters, and even people who might call for his blood. He made his decision knowing that the weight it would put on his shoulders and the scorn he would bear for the rest of his life would be unlike any shame or damnation he had ever felt. He knew all of this, and he prepared for it.
A relic of the life he was leaving behind, the cloak has no special powers imbued by the Force. Instead, it was designed as both his mark of ostracism and as a tool. Mandalorians often wore cloaks as a means to prevent their armor from getting worn down by the elements, or to help keep their eyes clear when rain or sunlight threatened to obscure visibility.
For recon units, cloaks often included sensor baffling fibers or difficult to traverse pockets for hiding away unsavory items. Alkor had extensive training prior to his life as a Mandalorian as an assassin, and his stealthy habits lived on long into his tenure as Warmaster. When he wove the cloak for himself, he created something that spat on the very idea of Honor.
Utilizing a reflec weave and synthetic cloth resilient to warmth and cold, Alkor was able to spin together the silent killer's ideal accessory. The Mark of Dishonor, as he calls it, serves as much a sentimental purpose as it has tactical value.
