The Man of Crime. The Woman of Deception. The World of Water. (Elanna Ak'lya)

Pyrshak System
Manaan
Ahto City: Information and Public Intelligence Center, Commoner Cantina
Corruck Kazen
Current Alias: Mish Catzin
Corruck had been searching through old records for possible future gang members, but he decided to take a break. The information was going to help expand his hold to Manaan, hopefully. He already had some people on Corellia and Mon Calamari. His intent to spread here would require a little more work though, due to the more controlling government on this planet. However if he could get a place set up with men and arms then it would be most profitable. They could rig the local speeder races and Pazaak tables. If all went to plan then he would gain even more wealth.

He was currently in the Cantina nearby the center, this place was full of questionable people. Some may be looking for jobs, others may be asking for people to do jobs. He knew he had someone in here, one man at least was under his payroll and looking for possible contacts. Corruck had two men on planet, one outside this area, and one inside the cantina. Both were loyal and both would contact him when they believed they had found a suitable agent, whether for use on planet or for missions elsewhere.

-----------------------------
A few minutes walk from the Cantina and Info Center

Corruck's outside man had been negotiating with a Selkath on setting a meeting between a political ally and Corruck. The man was currently acting as an employer for out of work spies, bounty hunters, and agents; so he had a number of people of different species. A number of bothans, a Rodian here and there, a few humans, two Selkath including the one he was speaking to, and a Cathar in there somewhere. Most were seated on outer benches around the area, awaiting their turn for

A deal had just been struck and the Selkath left to inform his master of what was to be done. The man yelled out, "Next!" Whoever got there first would be the next person to speak to him, the rest would have to wait. That was how it had been set up, the fastest or strongest would force their way to the top and the 'lesser' would either manipulate or fall behind. A Rodian stood, twitchy and not very sound looking, the Cathar also stood to walk over. A Bothan here and there also stood. They all began to converge soon there would be a fight or a run to the man.

Smiling as the others began to fight to get an interview, Elanna looked over to where the man stood waiting. He was certainly the contact, but this felt wrong. He wasn't who she was to meet here. Not that she really blamed her prospective employer, after all, rivals were everywhere. But she had other jobs to get to, and missions to run. Smiling, she sat there, waiting for the others to fight their way to [member="Corruck Kazen"]'s man.
"Idiots"

The rodian pulled a blaster out and began firing on one of the Bothans. Two other Bothans attacked the Rodian, attacking it and trying to force their way forward. The Cathar pushed past, but fell when the Rodian fired twice more. One of the two remaining Bothans fell but then the Rodian died. The last standing Bothan moved in front of the agent. As the Bothan moved to sit and the agent began looking through his datapad for names, that Cathar, apparently not quite dead, stood up and grabbed the Bothan by the throat. The Cathar threw the Bothan over the side of the platform, the Bothan fell to the ocean below and began trying to swim for an entrance back onto the platform. The Cathar sat in front of the agent, who looked over the datapad and then began talking to him.

After a few minutes the Cathar stood and walked off, apparently he had been given a job without having to see the leader. The agent turned on his comm, which he kept in his pocket, and began talking to Corruck on the other end. He yelled "Next" as he continued talking. Nobody stood as a few Selkath came by, they were police by the looks of it. The agent took a moment, turning his comm off, and made a few comments to the police there. The Selkath looked like they were going to arrest him, when the agent pulled out a few credits and pushed it quietly and quickly into their hands. The Selkath told him some things and then moved away. The agent turned back on the comm and waited for the next person, he continued talking to Corruck on the other end. Still nobody stood, the fear of death or arrest was still close on their minds.

Elanna sighed. The imbeciles fighting over the place had caught the police attention. Now it was too much of a risk to talk to the man, but she had little choice. A note scrawled onto a piece of paper, and a few sleight of hands later, and the man would have her message.

As I don't want to be arrested, please call if you want to set up with the best in the business.

The agent looked at the paper silently. He would call, just to be sure. Corruck would want everybody possible, even if they only claimed to be the best. Sitting at a desk nearby, he activated his comm and set it to the frequency. As he waited, a few people came and went. Most found a job and left quickly and quietly to do his employer's bidding.

Meanwhile Corruck had heard quickly of what had occurred, "Blast it. Will need to change location soon, before they figure anything out." Corruck thought as he ordered a drink and took a moment to reflect on his plan. Certainly a operation here Manaan was worth the trouble, but hopefully no one would give it away. If needed he could escape, his ship was in the Hangar. He had payed good money to make sure that it was not on the lists, and that the main entrance would remain locked until Corruck said otherwise.

After ducking inside an alleyway, Elanna picked up the comm. Glancing around, she spoke quickly to the man. "This is a secure channel. Ever heard of the Red Saints gang?" The question was her act of credibility, and it would make or break this job if he knew what it was. At least a year ago, she took it down piece by piece as a contract. She had been so thorough, that the only remember still reported alive was an Ora Tal'ra, her alias on the mission. It had been a long job, and well-paying. She had lived off it for a few months after updating het info in their system.

"Not beyond knowing that it existed. How is this pertinent to the current situation?" The man kept his answers and questions short and simple. His employer had a business to run, and he did not appreciate wasted time. To keep things running smoothly one had to be quick and certain of everything. But that was nearly impossible, so Corruck had made sure to get as close as possible. The man moved a datapad in front of himself and began recording certain bits and pieces of information as he deemed necessary. These would be relayed to Corruck as soon as needed. The man was prepared to hire on the post, if certain requirements were met. Though normally hiring was left to Corruck, he was given a small amount of control in immediate hiring.

"I'm the girl who took them out. How much your boss paying?" She smiled. The two were similar, only this time, she was getting a job. Not ending a gang. Shrugging to herself as a figure passed her, she stared into the open street. Two Jedi, she guessed, were standing out there. One looked in her direction as she ducked back. "I'm running out of time."
[member="Corruck Kazen"]

"Depends on your skills. Your supposed skills would pay quite well. If time it running out, go to this cantina for a job." He looked over what little he had, Corruck would be able to learn more, especially in a more controlled area. He waited for a reply before turning off his comm. All concerns were now Corruck's and this young lady's. He was now free of all obligations, but he continued to help where he could. Extra help meant extra pay.
