The Lords of Light

As Day turns to Night,
And Night succumbs to Day,
So must the Dark be burned away by the Light.
And that is the price all must pay.
Governments have failed. Democracies have failed. All fall before the growing power of the Dark. The Jedi are splintered and driven apart by their differences, lacking the will and the conviction needed to fulfill their purpose. Not protectors of governments, but of civilization, of the Light. The Jedi are weak. Except for a few, who have seen visions within the Force of what must be done.
They must rule and use their visions and their martial prowess to beat back the Dark, to eradicate it, and drive it back into the shadows of the galaxy where it belongs, no matter what the cost might be, or how high the casualties. That is the price to be paid for the survival of the Light and its civilization. For the Dark is a corruption upon reality and it consumes all things until nothing remains but the Dark itself. It must be ended for the survival of life itself.

Structure:
The Lords of Light are organized in a feudal system bound by oaths of fealty, with the Light itself being the ultimate tenet of loyalty.

Seneschal: The highest rank amongst the Jedi Lords. The one who bears this rank is the one to whom the Light has spoken and granted a vision. They are the military commander of the Lords.

Jedi-Lord: Jedi masters who have accumulated followers, soldiers, and influence enough to build a stronghold of their own, acting as the guardian of that system or region of space. Their collected fleets and entourages are considered a Legion, even if they are smaller than a full legion.

Jedi Knight: The backbone of the Legions of Light, these are Jedi who are fully trained and equipped for way. They have crafted their lightsabers, their imbued armor, and have usually sworn an oath of fealty to a Lord. Those who haven’t are considered Knight Errants.

Jedi Squire: In the process of becoming Knights, Squires are fully trained in combat and expected to fight alongside Knights. They have simply not yet completed the initiation ritual and completed their armor yet. A Knight may have more than one squire whom they instruct and guide along the paths of the Light.

Smithier: As the Lords of Light rely primarily on unique, Force imbued objects rather than mass produced items, they hold the smiths and craftsmen in highest regard. These are those who bring the Light into the world around them and give it the edge to burn away the Dark.

Armsman: Not all who belong to the Lords of Light are Force sensitive. Those who are not are equipped with armor, weapons, and training, and serve as the bulk of the Legions, bringing their own passion to bear against those who would serve the Lords of Dark.

These are broken further down into ground and space divisions, with identical ranks between the two.

Enlisted- Armsman, Third Class
Armsman, Second Class
Armsman, First Class
Sergeant-Armsman
Sergeant
Sergeant-Marshall

Officer- Sergeant-Warden
Lieutenant
Lieutenant-Marshall

Captain-General

Priestesses of the Light: A small, secretive sect of Jedi Seers who have become obsessed with the visions of the Light that they have begun to receive and to motivate themselves and others to act upon them and make them come true.

What is this?
A Jedi/Light Side oriented rebellion faction, more or less, except that it pulls from the canon Army of Light and the Jedi-Lords as the primary inspiration. As they tend to be more of a medieval style of Jedi Knights, this draws more from Western European Crusader armies, in aesthetic, feel, and style, that is generally typical for Jedi. So, they are Jedi Crusaders with a radical zero-Dark Side policy. If you thought the New Jedi Order was radical with their magma cells, the Lords of Light take it a step further, making it a more fervent religious duty to eradicate the Dark Side for the greater good.
However, that's not going to happen because of OOC reasons. That's chill. It's fun to write this radical splinter cell of Jedi even though they are literally on their own and with little to no support. Plus, we all know what happened to the canon Army of Light, so this faction is aiming to tell those sorts of stores and tragedies.

Thank you.

So how does your interaction with a Dark Sider in this group go? Kill on sight? Toss in magma cells?

Hmm, depends on the other writer, but NPCs are given the choice of the path of Ulic Qel Droma or conversion, with a period of penitence to ensure their loyalty and return to the Light. Those that refuse will be executed.
