"I've met him before, he's got a good head on his shoulders. I know he has siblings as well, I haven't heard anything amiss about any of them. It would be an honor to have him as my first Padawan." The Jedi Knight showed a smile and bowed his head towards the two Council Members. "Thank you for your trust, I won't let you down."
Today was a definitely a new beginning as he wasn't expecting this when he was called into the Council chambers. He was assigned his first Padawan and he was quite excited about that. He received tips and such from various sources, but the biggest one was to take him aside and get to know the young man. The last thing he wanted to do was screw this up, he wasn't going to let anyone down.

Word had been sent after his meeting with the Jedi Council and it was best that they meet on a more familiar grounds. Aiden's own nature showing out as he brought some freshly baked cookies and a nice cool bottle of blue milk for him. While he wasn't a young kid, it was to start things off on a good note. There didn't need to be teaching and lessons on the first day, he needed to get to know him first on that first day.
Building a good rapport with his fellow Jedi was the most important thing.
The only way to get through this was together.
