Faction The Light Carves a Way (TSA Members Only)

Overview: After the initial gathering of those who had answered Lily's call on Ahch-To, the Silver Alliance was born. Their numbers were small, but Lily understood that if the Silver Alliance was going to endure and grow, it needed more than just good intentions. It needed to give others across the galaxy a reason to believe that standing against the growing influence of the Sith was still possible.

The Sith's continued expansion was a concern shared by all the Jedi throughout the galaxy and the Silver Alliance was beginning with almost nothing. The resources they had were few and had very little intelligence on their enemies. Let alone trying to figure out where they might strike to disrupt the Sith.

Despite that, one singular memory of Sleheyron, kept circling back in Lily's thoughts. Why had Darth Strosius Darth Strosius been there? The Sith rarely concerned themselves with affairs beyond the Blackwall unless there was something to be gained. Sleheyron was not Sith territory. It was not even remotely close to the worlds openly claimed by the Sith. Which meant Darth Strosius had been there for a reason.

It was hardly much to work with, but it was the strongest lead available to the newly formed Silver Alliance. Lily had no intention of allowing the opportunity to slip away. Reaching out to those who answered the call on Ahch-To, a small team was assembled and set a course for Sleheyron.

Their destination was the last known location where Lily had encountered Darth Strosius. What began as a simple investigation soon uncovered to be something far more substantial. Hidden within the region, the Silver Alliance discovered a military installation. Whatever the Sith had been doing on Sleheyron, it appeared their presence there had been anything but incidental!

Objective 1:

Breach the base and draw as much attention as possible! Your job is to create enough chaos and resistance to keep the bulk of the installation's forces occupied, giving the Infiltration Team room to move through the facility with minimal interference.

Be careful, though! The base is heavily defended with Darth Strosius's force and the turned locals who have been liberated from slavery. Its personnel vastly outnumber the Silver Alliance strike team. Cause trouble, keep them looking your way! But don't allow yourselves to become surrounded or overwhelmed.

Objective 2:

Use the distraction created by the other Silver Alliance members to infiltrate deeper into the base! While much of the installation's forces will be drawn toward the Breaching Team, patrols and security personnel will remain throughout the facility.

Move carefully. Prevent any patrols you encounter from calling for reinforcements or raising the alarm to your presence! Find a way to sabotage or disable the base's security systems to ease the pressure on the Breaching Team. Most importantly, locate and recover any information or data that will be decrypted post-mission.

Time is limited.

Lily was nervous.

This was her first time leading a mission like this. She was not just leading a mission, she was leading a faction. She was doing all this with the hope that the Silver Alliance could gain some understanding of the Sith Order’s movements, their plans. It was a bold gamble and if this mission failed, she would not just be letting down those on the mission with her, Lily worried that this would end the Silver Alliance before they really even got started. Inhaling the cool air on Sleheyron, Lily paused for a moment. Her mind thinking over everything, taking note not just of this moment as their start but who was here.

Who was standing with her at the very start of the Silver Alliance. They were the people she would always trust moving forward. Holding no doubts.

Gesturing silently, Lily wanted to remain as quiet as possible. They had gotten to Sleheyron and found the most likely location for Darth Strosius’ base. Lily grabbed the Breaching Team and led them to the main gate, they were going to need to force their way inside and cause enough chaos to draw full attention to them. She was trusting Templar to be able to get the information. Time was not going to be on their side during this mission, they had selected a time to attack where there would be fewer active guards but reinforcements would be inbound and it was only a small group.

Nerves flared at the back of Lily’s mind once again. Odds were against them, but it was always going to be against them at the beginning. That was Lily’s focus, to push against the nerves. Each step forward would be a battle, but she fought battles, she won battles. Lily could do this.

Pooling the Force in her fists, Lily gathered as much energy as she could. Splaying her hands out wide, thrusting her arms forward, a powerful Force Wave batted against the main gate. Grunting, Lily gave everything she could to push the gate wide open. Panting hard, it had been a while since Lily had exerted herself with a Force move like that. Grabbing her Lightsaber, she looked to her team.

Let’s make them think we’re a hundred soldiers fighting them.” Lily then charged forward.

His spear twirled through the air, staining the ground with blood of the guard that had been going for the alarm. A small frown crossing Lestra's face as he checked over the corpse for a moment. Being part of some small-tag rebel group meant you had to grab what gear you could when you were able to after all.

"Grab a few frags...I'll take that sword better for these close quarters...Got any clearance codes on you?"

He muttered away to himself, before deciding that there wasn't anything else he was going to get from the corpse. Instead he crouched down to drag the body off to the side, into a nearby janitor closet.

"This is where trash goes, right?...Kark, that's mean of me, isn't it?"

Not that there was anyone to answer him. The Jedi reached down to the vibrosword he had looted off the corpse, giving it a few little slashes through the air. Proper swordmanship and even lightsabership wasn't something the Lad was well trained in. If anything, he was perhaps lacking in any serious training considering he had mostly had to train himself out in the Galaxy. But he knew enough to survive and get the mission done. So off he went to go and see if he could find any data or security systems to work with.

Objective 2

For countless millennia, Hutt Space had festered like a malignant tumour, a vast and sprawling nexus of vice and moral decay that thrived no matter the state of the rest of the Galaxy. It was a region where decadence for the gifted few reigned supreme, upheld by a status quo steeped in deep-rooted corruption, each layer more entrenched than the last, built over years and years of suffering that choked the very air. Even the chaos wrought by the planeshifts, which had seen entire worlds disappear only to reappear in new positions and shatter the strongholds of embedded factions, had done little to cleanse this blighted region. Instead, it had merely expanded its boundaries.

By all regards, then, it was an excellent target. An opportunity to proclaim their purpose, a blade of light cleaving through the darkness, whatever the source may be.

And yet, as she stood outside the base, shrouded in the shadows of a crumbling four-storey building that might have once served as a distribution centre, the remnants of its past purpose branded by blaster scorch marks and the stark stains of dried blood. Nima Torr couldn't shake her unease about how their debut would be perceived, a blade of light carving through slaves and Sith alike.

Still, with Darth Strosius wandering from the Blackwall, she could not deny there was reason to be concerned, whether it was an isolated event or the prelude to something much worse. And so, she was here, not to strike at those who had broken their chains, violent as it may have been, but rather to bring light to the circumstances that had brought the Order of Wonosa here.

She stretched out beyond the physical world, tapping into the delicate, sprawling weave of relationships and souls that her intuitive sixth sense allowed her to perceive. Nima Torr reached out her arm, a gesture that served more as a comforting ritual than a necessity as she delved deeper into the essence of those around her, each connection shimmering faintly in her mind, threaded outwards to others within sight and further afield. Hands that were not hands shifted into tendrils, probing limbs of thought and intention, scurried along the threads, wrapping around the cores of those within reach, a thousand gentle touches exploring for gaps in the armour, pushed inwards, leaving behind directives that subtly turned the eye.

Such as when the breach occurred, Nima Torr simply jumped over the gate, carried upon tethers of purpose as eyes that should have noticed her skipped towards the sound of chaos—now, the question was: where did that blue-haired Padawan disappear to?

It had not been long after the gathering on Ahch-To when Lily Decoria Lily Decoria approached the newly assembled group with their first operation on Sleheyron. Templar had listened in silence while the plan was laid out. A brow slowly lifting behind the concealment of her helmet when Lily divided them into separate teams. Lily and several others would make themselves impossible to ignore while Templar and the remaining members slip inside.

The Relic stood some distance from the military installation itself. In uneven terrain, she was tucked into darkness along one of the outer walls. The shadow casted by the fortifications helped break apart her silhouette. Above Templar was a surveillance tower. It rose from the perimeter with a mounted searchlight, moving in a slow sweep across the surrounding area.

Templar simply observed. Her cloak hung heavily around her armored frame. She did not need to see beyond the wall to know that one of their own had already made it inside. ( Lestra Thairk Lestra Thairk ) Despite it being distant, the presence was there moving through the base. There was another lingering much closer, hidden from the search lights as well.

Distant shouting carried faintly across the grounds that was heard by Templar. A rise of alarmed voices somewhere near the main entrance, the search lights above the Relic swung sharply toward the front of the base attempting to locate the source of the disturbance. The nearby presence suddenly accelerated, she caught sight of a figure vaulting over the outer barrier before vanishing into the base beyond. ( Nima Torr Nima Torr )

Another surveillance tower farther along the wall continued its search pattern, sweeping steadily back toward the surrounding terrain. It would seem that whatever Lily and the others were doing at the front had not been enough to draw every pair of eyes away from the perimeter. The Relic tilted her head upward to follow the searchlight, the helmet shifted slightly against her head. Annoying. Both gloved hands emerged from beneath the cloak and settled briefly against the sides of her helmet. She adjusted its position before allowing her hands to return beneath the cloak.

There was something almost amusing about it all. This is what Lily had gathered them for. A handful of scattered individuals answering the same call and now testing whether that call amounted to anything. Templar’s gaze went back to the base as a whole. She wondered how bright this little shard of light actually was.

Would it gather others around itself and become something capable of enduring the weight placed upon it… or would it simply flare once and be snuffed out before anyone beyond Sleheyron ever noticed it had existed?

Templar was about to take her first step toward the wall, when something touched the edge of her senses from behind. She stopped. Her gloved hand beneath the cloak closed around a hilt as she turned towards the new presence. At the same time, the distant searchlight swept above their location. White light, illuminated very briefly and revealed the figure whom approached. Feng Huang Feng Huang

The Relic recognized the young one from the call. Her fingers loosened around the hilt. The gloved hand emerged from beneath the cloak empty, raising between the both of them with the palm out towards Feng in a simple greeting. Hello. All of Templar’s fingers folded inward, except one. She pointed directly at Feng. You. Her helmet turned together with her finger now pointing toward the military installation. Going in? Templar looked back at Feng, her pointing hand lowered and disappeared beneath the cloak. She waited, curious to see exactly what this young one intended to do.

The Jedi Knight took a deep breath as they stood before the base. He was here as a favor. Disrupting Sith operations to create something more seemed like a worthwhile endeavor. Things had to start somewhere, and if he could be here to, at the very least, assist in that beginning, it would seem to be a good day.

The full retinue of Everlight was not here, only those who insisted on coming with him. While he advised them that this had nothing to do with Republic affairs and that he wanted them out of this, there were some as stubborn as he was who insisted they would not abandon him. He appreciated them greatly, more than they could ever know. They were not just his soldiers or guards. They were friends and family. He had grown to know them, meet their families, and treated them as equals rather than simply another commanding presence for orders to be tossed about.

"I'll lead the way. You guys follow, take up position, and take your shots," Aiden said with a small smirk on his face as he looked upon Everlight members, his lightsaber blade coming to life as the enemy began to catch wind of their approach. "You know what to do. May the Force be with us all."

Aiden Porte began to move up, blaster fire already coming his way as he reacted with incredible speed and reflexes.

Lily charged in, the cyan blade glowing brightly as the Jedi Knight made her presence known. Though she was taking a more subdued fighting style approach, not delivering killing blows and aiming to disarm most of the time if she could. It was not the movements of hesitation or doubt but the movements of someone who understood why people were here at the base. It was not pure Sith idealists, these were people who had been freed, felt that a debt was owed and this was the work that they were doing to repay that debt.

A lot of these people were former slaves, in some ways still in slavery. Lily couldn't strike them down. That was not the Jedi that she wished to be. That was not the Jedi she wished her Order to be.

That had been why she stood against Lorn's Vanguard. They took things to extremes and ignored the nuance. There had to be a way that one could fight that did not involve the unnecessary deaths of those who are compelled to serve the Sith. So, Lily fought with that mindset, disarming. knocking people unconscious. It was harder work and she had to use more energy to fight but her soul felt easier in doing the work. Which was all that Lily needed to feel. Lily could sense that Aiden was pushing in deeper, he had brought a small group with him.

"Don't push too deep, Aiden, we need to make sure that we can get in and out as quick as we can." Lily warned, she was sure that the Jedi Knight knew that but she needed to give the warning, flashes of memories of other Jedi who rushed things and died flashed in her mind. That wasn't going to be today. It couldn't be today.

Lily wasn't sure how long it would take for the infiltration team to get inside and find the servers to begin hacking, but she knew that they needed to be given as much time as they could get. She also knew that Templar would let her know when the data extraction began since that would give them a rough time of when they needed to think about leaving. Each moment they lingered, reinforcements would be edging closer and Lily was sure there were going to be forces far stronger and far more competent than former slaves.

The Jedi Knight took a moment to breath and look over to her Padawan, making sure that Kito was doing okay and handling the mission well.

"Hm? This is the right way, right?"

Lestra chatted away with what was seemingly a...rat of all things. Crouched down to the ground, nodding away as the creature chittered away. Cupping his chin between his index finger and thumb as he took in the information.

"Uh huh....Uh huh...Take a left...Straight for the next two turns...Then take a right. That door should lead me to one of the security consoles. Alright. Thanks for that little man. You get yourself and any rat family you have outta here, alright?...Oh, and if you see a Twi'lek Jedi around, you didn't see me, alright?"

A toothy grin came from the blue-haired lad at that, giving the (somewhat confused) rat a thumbs up, before he rushed off down the corridor, with his spear resting along his shoulder. It was best for him to focus on the task at hand, instead of the message they were sending. There was a chance that this mission could cause harm to the local ecosystem. At the same time, there was also a chance that it would benefit. But the more he focused on that, it would only further aid in distracting him.

He just had to get towards the security console. Hopefully without being caught by his fellow Jedi...

Feng was focused, exhilarated, decided on her course of action, even as the nerves made themselves known she made a conscious decision not to be nervous, nervousness lead to anxiety. She had read during her studies on anxiety that it was easier to turn that anxiety into excitement as a positive alternative rather than to seek instant calm or balance. So that is what she did for herself today.

The excitement filled her, the anticipation of a smooth operation of which she would be a pivotal part. She had thought about accompanying Lily on her part of the operation. On the surface it may even have suited Feng's personality and experience. Making a big noise, engaging in combat. Though that facet of it was precisely the reason Feng had chosen the subtler mission for a change of pace. Feng's entire purpose in selecting the Silver Alliance out of all the options of Jedi was to expand her horizons, be exposed to new ways of thinking and of course to learn new methods.

This operation was an important one tactically, but it was also a learning opportunity for Feng. How to utilise stealth. Feng observed the examples of this skill as the others infiltrated the compound.

Feng had decided to attach herself to the one known simply as Templar as the mission unfolded. Feng observed the movements of the searchlights, and the rhythm of the guards, waiting for the moment a blindspot appeared. It was only for a few seconds two or three to be exact, not enough time for a mundane to slip through, barely enough time for a Jedi.

Feng nodded to Templar's silent direction. She took a breath and harnessed her Jedi Shadow training.

Feng put a burst of Jedi speed with a wilful enhancement of the Force as she blurred between the gaps of searchlights and perimeter guards. She stumbled as she landed on the perimeter wall righted herself, had the flash of thought, don't panic, turned the stumble into a flip over the otherside and landed with a roll.

Feng took a breath forcing herself to consider her performance objectively. Yes she had stumbled, but instead of beating herself up over it she had managed not to panic, recover and turn the movement into a further flip over the narrow path on top of the wall. The recovery was the important point not the initial mistake.

Feng breathed deeply, nodded, she had done well. Room for improvement perhaps, but that was just a lesson for next time. Feng waited to see what "Templar" "Templar" would do

Objective 2

The Twi'lek's boots touched down lightly on the hard-packed earth, a faint patter that dissipated almost instantly, with only the disruption of clinging sand to mark her arrival. Swiftly she moved, striding away from the remnants of her landing; the Jedi advanced towards one of the structure's external entrances. The maintenance door appeared slim from where it sat, embedded in the side of a thin door frame, with a small control panel attached to the wall, where it faced out into the smaller courtyard that the door served as an access point for. Over the years, however, more than one poor estimation of a door left Nima certain that her lightsaber would take a number of minutes to pierce through, assuming the hissing sparks and melting sludge of metal didn't turn attention her way.

With purpose in her movements, she raised her hand, technically an unnecessary gesture but one that she found useful for reaching the appropriate mindset in adequate time—after all, she didn't have much of the latter. Her fingers curled around threads that didn't exist, unseen strands, wrapped around a reach that lacked the presence of flesh. Faster than most, though far longer than she would prefer, she pried into those connections, searching for a thread that could be tugged with an echo that would not reach beyond her ability to control, and the moment she did, her curling fingers drew back, beckoning the strands that wrapped around her fingers.

She stepped to the side. A moment later, the door opened.

In the distance, the clash of this new form of Jedi and the Order of Wonosa reverberated like thunder; industrial metal gates groaned under the resonant tide of the Force, an impressive act of will, for all it left Lily Decoria bleeding anxiety and determination into the weave of connections in equal measure. A weakness to some, although Nima Torr would argue otherwise. It would have been worse to engage in a conflict like this with neither emotion—not when there was still so much to learn and lose, while against foes that had not truly earned their censure beyond the existence of their Sith Lord. Anxiety carefully wielded could lead to caution, and properly tempered with determination, it could thread the needle between inaction and a bloodbath.

As long as it served as a guide, rather than a crutch.

Balance was important.

Regardless, the distraction served well enough, and with another tug on the soldier who walked through the door, Nima slipped past as they continued toward the fight. She paused, reaching across the ebb and flow of the movements of those whom she knew existed, the impatience of Lestra Thraik pushing onwards, while in contrast, Nima Torr waited a moment to see if the contemplative presence of the figure who called themselves Templar and the excited flicker of intention that stood beside her would desire use of the entrance she had acquired or if they wished to make their own.
