FINAL DAWN
NIRAUAN, WILD SPACE

Sularen walked through the empty ruins of the the Hand of Thrawn, each footstep echoing through the walls of the once mighty fortress that had stood as a bastion for the ideals of the New Order. Decades ago, he had stood within this very structure as Irveric Tavlar declared the foundation of the New Imperial Order and his intent to wage war against the Sith Empire, then ruled by Darth Carnifex and the Sith Zambrano Dynasty. He remembered that day, when he eagerly pledged whatever resources he had at his disposal to Talvar's cause, and yet in the end, he was still dishonourably discharged and ostracized amongst Imperial circles.

Before long, Sularen would enter the throne room of the fortress, the exact location where Tavlar issued his declaration of defiance. As he walked through the throne room, with memories of Tavlar's declaration flowing through his mind, Sularen could only wonder: why had he been able to galvanize the greatest Imperial movement within the past half-century? What made Tavlar so special was that he built something whose legacy echoes through the galaxy to this day. A legacy that many Imperials clung to so tightly that they were unable to see the potential in newer Imperial movements unless they met a specific standard set by Talvar's movement, something that frustrated Sularen, given his own attempts to build a movement that could eclipse the New Imperial Order throughout the past few years.

Soon enough, Sularen found himself right in front of the throne itself. It was nothing fancy, just a simple elevated metal chair with a staircase leading up to it. It was somewhat symbolic, the empty throne, the ruined fortress, both displaying the state that the Imperial Movement found itself in today, directionless and fractured, with no purpose or future. If only things had gone differently, Sularen thought. If only the Dark Empire or the Imperial Confederation had overcome their struggles, things might have gone differently. And yet still here he was, within the great ruins of a bygone era, pondering on how he could ever create something as great as the New Imperial Order when the bar was set so high.

"I fucking hate this galaxy..." Sularen muttered as he continued to look up towards the empty throne, his hand clasped behind his back as the sounds of heavy rainfall and lightning echoed from the exterior of the fortress.

As Sularen stood in front of the empty throne, the soft hum of a ship's engines could be heard against the backdrop of heavy rainfall and lightning. Then footsteps as someone entered the ruined fortress and joined the Supreme Commander within the throne room. Even then, Sularen did not turn around, still lost in thought and focused on the throne. Then the individual finally announced himself, proclaiming he was here to remove the leftovers of Imperial scum in a rather bold and blunt way.

It was at that point that Sularen turned around, finding a small, young male dressed in a black cloak with a white shirt underneath and black trousers. He also took notice of the two lightsabers on his utility belt, which made him a force-user. Although whether he was a Sith and Jedi remained unknown to Sularen, what was clear was that he was dealing with a potential threat.

With a disinterested look, the Supreme Commander would address the force user. "Imperial Scum? If that was your attempt to insult me, I'd suggest you try being more creative," he replied, speaking in a calm but neutral tone. "So who do I have the misfortune of encountering on this somber day?" he inquired.

It wasn't long before the individual, who had identified himself as Joseph Kav took out his lightsabers and ignited them, revealing himself to be a Jedi with the blade's blue colour. Furthermore, it was also amusing to hear him issue his demands, stating that he would spare Sularen if he handed over his lands to him. Even if he did agree to such ludicrous demands, he still had a powerful military force at his disposal, and the wording was extremely vague, something he could easily circumvent without issue.

"I always find it amusing when people complain about the authoritarian systems of Imperial regimes." Sularen responding. "You in particular have a complete misunderstanding of what Imperialism stands for, but i shouldn't be surprised. People like you are either too naive or too stupid to understand things in nuance," he continued.

Sularen then stared down at the blade, contemplating his next move as he relaxed his hands beside his hips. "You already know my choice. The galaxy needs more of us than it needs imbeciles like you." As soon as he finished speaking, the Supreme Commander quickly drew out his pair of Fujita Rail Pistols, quickly aiming for the chest and stomach of the Jedi and firing a round of high-velocity, sharp and durasteel-tipped projectiles towards the Jedi before immediately turning and rushing towards the hallways of the ruined fortress.

Before Sularen could reach the hallway, he found himself frozen by the Jedi who used the force to hold him in place, preventing him from moving further. Then the arrogant Jedi asked him to make a decision one more time, threatening to kill him. Still, even at this disadvantage, Sularen remained unfazed. He took a few seconds to think about how he could escape his grip before eventually offering a single, simple response. "Do you even know who I am?" he asked.

To the Jedi, it would come as a statement rooted in arrogance, the type of statement that came from individuals with nowhere left to run; however, to Sularen, it was a calculated move. This Jedi had not even once addressed him by his name, which meant he probably thought Sularen was just some random Imperial. If he knew who he was, then that would only complicate things, but if he didn't, then that gave Sularen the ammuniton he needed to escape.

Now all he'd have to do was wait for the Jedi's response.

  • Just a little heads up, as per the rules of the site, you can't kill my character without my permission, and i don't intend on killing him off anytime soon

As Sularen expected, Joseph gave a vague response, calling him a mere Imperial Warlord rather than addressing him by name, which meant that either he was trying to misdirect Sularen by purposely not addressing him by name or he genuinely did not know who he was aside from a simple Imperial Warlord. Fortunately for Sularen he knew exactly how to distinguish which of the two possibilities was actually true.

"A silly Imperial Warlord, huh?" he said with a chuckle. "What makes you so sure I'm a Warlord to begin with? After all, I could be a legitimate Imperial Officer from the Imperial Government. Even if I were a Warlord, what land would there be to give? Most Warlords tend to operate from mobile bases these days. Heck, you don't even know my name, what faction I serve or where i'm based," he further proclaimed.

"You're wasting your time and what little talent you have in this little charade. It'd be best if you released me and crawled back to whatever hole you came from, if you even have a single brain cell left in that simple mind of yours."
