The Lashes of Torment were created as a weapon for the most recent iteration of Elani Zambrano. Vanessa found the creation of such a pair of weapons unique and challenging in its own way, creating an exotic, adaptable weapon, resistant to lightsabers, that would still prove worthy of the daughter of a Zambrano. Vanessa started by casting two separate pieces of duranium - one for the shaft of the weapon, another for the blade(which was salted with powdered Devaronian blood-poison). Both pieces were then alchemized through the usage of an hour long ritual involving Jedi blood and Sith poison, among other things, before being gilded and united as one piece. After this, the blades were sharpened to near-monomolecular levels, and the weapon was finally deemed complete.
The weapon itself has three 'settings' that can be toggled by a short swing and the pressing of the ring within what in most cases is a thumbhole. The weapon can either function as a sort of mini-scythe, a more defensive weapon(in which case it is highly recommended to wear gloves to prevent accidental self-harm), and a more sword-like position. Upon contact of any sort with exposed skin, the enemy will experience intense pain as the blood-poison works its way into their system. This, when in the hands of a more precise user, makes the Lashes an exceptionally effective means of torturing people.
