ADVANCED SYSTEMSTractor Beam

STRENGTHS

Small Fist, Big Punch - With the heavy forward firing weapons, and the base model's 12 available hardpoints, the Lamia can deliver a savage blow to enemy (or victim's) ship.

Grabby Hands - Armed with tractor beams, grappling lines, two grappling arms with airlocks, and the precarious force cylinder, the Lamia uses designs meant to salvage and employs them in capturing and boarding other ships.

Automated: While a crew is preferred, the Lamia's collection of droid-brains can make up for crew shortages in manning systems, defense measures and weaponry.

WEAKNESSES

Power Drain -The Lamia carries a lot of weapons, defenses and other systems. Managing power is critical. To provide enough power to activate the SLAM engine, some of the weapons have to be powered down first.

No Hanger Space: To ensure there was enough room for added systems, and still have room to smuggle cargo or hold plunder, no docking bay or system for smaller craft is available. Meaning the Lamia cannot support any fighter aircraft for defense.

DESCRIPTION
Not one to covet the sleek designs of many shipbuilders, Charlana went for functionality. She found the Scorpio Salvage Vessel. Designed to find, seize and salvage derelict ships, the pirate discovered those designs worked well for finding and seizing booty. She armed it with enough firepower to disable larger ships, while giving it enough shielding, armor and point defenses to take a beating. Agile in combat, it's SLAM engine could be engage to escape when necessary. Finding it hard to find good help, or anyone willing to put up with her, she added droid-brains to help run the ship when crew was short. A skilled startship mechanic, Charlana did much of the modifying herself, though there was a price for all the extras. Power management could get tricky in battle. All the goodies took up room, so space was at a premium, meaning cramped quarters and no extra craft on board.
