Kylo's Beskar

Kylo decided it was time to get a drink, he'd been working far from Carson City in the Jungles of Kyrayc at his Clans compound. He almost forgot what Carson City became like. Now he was back in it, he had a chance to see that the population was really growing. The city had mandalorian monuments all over, mandalorian banners hanging around the city. It was evening on Kyrayc, the sun was going down, the sky lit up a haunting faded orange from behind the clouds. Neon lights all over Carson city were lighting up. It was a splendid place from what it once was. Kylo reached his destination, a small little bar of the main stretch through Carson city called Rivet Cantina. Kylo walked through the front door to see the place was filled with all walks of life.

Kylo walked through the crowd as many were drinking, socializing, just having a grand time. Many patrons noticed him instantly and looked his way or moved out of his way. Kylo was one of the most respected people of the planet, his clan Prudii Kyr'am was the reason Kyrayc was the new Mandalore without the presence of the filthy corruption of the Mandalorian Empire. Now it was never officially stated that it was the new Mandalore, but to everyone that called Kyrayc home, it was, and Kylo's father A'den was their leader, in their eyes that made him Mand'alor even though they knew A'den didn't like being called that. Kylo reached the bar and nodded to the bartender, Kylo has visited here so much that the bartender already knew his drink of choice. Ardees or also known as Jawa Juice on tatooine. Kylo loved the drink. Once the bartender gave him his drink, Kylo took it and went to his usual spot, a Booth that was located in the back right corner if you were coming from the front door. Kylo sat his drink down then reached up and pressed buttons on each side of his buy'ce. A hissing sound of pressurized air being released came from his helmet. He set the helmet down on the table showing his face. Hazel eyes, short brown hair, a scruffy beard along with the few scars that dotted his face. Kylo sat down and took a sip of his drink relaxing. The lighting in the cantina was dim, but evenly matched with the stage lights and the neon lights from the bar.

Maggie-Rae also liked to drink. When she wasn’t shooting, riding a war droid or raising hell somewhere in the Southern Systems, she could be seen at various Confederacy cantina’s lifting a bottle of tihaar to her candy-red lips. War was never far from her mind; nor was it far from any Mandalorians, and one of these days there would be a Civil War unlike any other. Worse than the normal squabbles between clans that seemed to be so pervasive throughout the galaxy.

This gave the redhead a reason to meet with all of the clans who made the CIS their home. The Kyr’am clan was situated on Kyrayc, a desolate planet with swamps and mountains and remnants of plague and radiation. But Carson City was inhabitable and to her delight, adorned with clan banners and monuments celebrating her heritage. Some would call Kyrayc the new Mandalore. Maggie-Rae felt that anywhere that would welcome her with open arms, allowing her the cin vhetin she so desperately craved could be Mandalore in her eyes.

She entered the River cantina in her own distinctive armor, bright scarlet to match her hair with purple and black accents. She’d only seen Kylo in a holopic, but recognized him instantly. Mags didn’t walk up to him; she practically stormed him, jubilant to see a fellow warrior.

“Aren’t you just a tall glass of sugar honey iced tea, Kylo,” she said, muffled through the helmet until she also removed it, tucking it under her arm and untangling the shock of red hair which fell down one side of her shoulder. She pulled the chair back with a scrape and sat across from him. “All of this traveling is makin’ me thirstier than a bantha in a sweater on Tatooine. Now just what have you and the Grim Legion been up to?”

Kylo shocked on some vod that just stormed his direction. Usually people were scared to approach Kylo as his reputation was told that he is a very skilled and deadly warrior. Kylo looked this woman up and down. He watched her remove her helmet letting down her long flowing red hair. Kylo examining her features. She was beautiful, but who was she and how did she know him. The Grim Legion is fine protecting this fair city, now I don't know what I did to have a woman as gorgeous as you approach me, but uh.....who are you? Kylo continued to watch her, even after she sat down. Kylo waved over the waitress to take this woman's order. Kylo then turned his attention back to the red headed beauty in front of him.

“Ain’t there fine-lookin’ girls on Kyrayc?” The way Maggie-Rae pronounced the planet name was akin to a cat coughing up a hairball. Then she laughed - a husky and raucous sound. Unmistakable really. Especially to her big sister who also entered the River Cantina, not long after Mags had. I grew up wanting to slap the fool out of her when she laughed like that, thought Kinaa, but when she wasn’t busy being annoyed by the younger redhead, she was fiercely protecting her as a lioness would its cubs.

Kinaa already had her helmet off, her steel grey beskar'gam not as splashy and colorful as her sister’s. She crept up behind her, giving Kylo a wink, freckled cheeks wrinkling in a smile.

“He asked you a question, Vod,” she tutted disapprovingly. She lay her gloved hands upon Maggie-Rae’s shoulders.

“Ad be a sacitr!” the redhead screeched. “What are you doing here? Okay, okay, I’ll back up for the benefit of Kylo here. I’m Maggie-Rae Americus and this is my sister Kinaa. Kinaa… Ronos.” The blonde Mando’s last name wouldn’t be as familiar as the more commonplace Americus and in fact, the way Maggie spoke it made it seem as though there was something unspoken between both sisters - something melancholy or unsettling.

Kinaa also pulled out a chair and took a swig from the bottle of tihaar, passing it to Kylo Kyr’am.

“Apparently we’ve both heard the same crazy rumor about Kyrayc.” While Maggie-Rae’s personality burned like a fire on the exterior, the way Kinaa stared at Kylo spoke to the strong flames which burned inside her. "And I hope you're not too confused." Luckily a glass of ice cold Ardees appeared before her, and as she waited for Kylo to respond to not one, but two Americus sisters, the blonde Mandalorian held the cocktail glass to the side of her face and eventually placed her lips upon the glass, sipping it slowly.

Kylo shook his head. Not exactly, and those that are, are scared of me because of my reputation as a war lord. Kylo looked at the other girl walk in, his jaw dropped staring. What the kriff, now there is two of you Kylo was dumbfounded, two beautiful americus girls. Now I thought I had met all you Americus girls, guess not. Who's this cute one? Kylo nodded to Kinaa. Kylo felt the tension between the sisters. There something I should I know about you two? Kylo takes the bottle and takes a swig. And yeah this place, Kyrayc has basically become the new Mandalore. The mandalorian capital of the galaxy without those mandalorian empire bantha fodders.

Maggie-Rae let out a low-toned chuckle when Kylo explained how gorgeous women feared him. “That’s the way it should be, burc'ya. And no, we’re cool.” It was clear the sisters were not cool and that after hugs and kisses on the cheek, the redhead’s expression showed deferrence to her older sister. “It’s just… why don’t you tell him, Kinaa?”

With that remark the younger Americus rose up from the table, chair legs squeaking across the cantina floor and found another single warrior-boy to flirt with.

Shaking her head just a fraction, Kinaa said, “We haven’t seen each other in a very long time. And it when we parted, it wasn’t on the best of terms.” She sipped the Ardees slowly, clearly not as impatient to get drunk as Maggie was. “But either way, we’re both here for the same reason as you are. To rebuild Mandalore as we envision it. Without unrealistic rules and outdated morals.

The man was handsome, startlingly so and Kinaa had to try pretty hard to play it cool, but the blonde felt feverish underneath the collar of the matte, black body-glove which she wore under her armor. With one finger she played at the fabric, pulling at the collar to loosen it. If other women feared him, perhaps she would have less competition for his attention? Yet, she was curious at just how punishing of a war lord he could be, which she assumed would be known in time.

"Tell me more about Kyrac.”

Kylo listened to both girls speak as they told him about them going separate ways in unfriendly terms, as well as their comment about other girls on Kyrayc. Kylo watched kinaa drink, interesting enough she seemed to enjoy getting drunk. Kylo did on occasions, but not when it was business time. Kylo then listened to Kinaa wanting to build a new Mandalore. He then watched her tug at her body glove collar. Kylo cracked a tiny smile and then shook his head.

You two need to rekindle, you're both Americus, don't need infighting or tension between family. Kylo took another drink of his Jawa Juice as they asked to know more about Kyrayc. well let's see here, I'm the Viceroy of Kyrayc, my Aliit owns the entire planet with CIS overseeing everything, my Aliit compound is about 900 miles from this city in the Kyrayc Jungles, out in the plaza we have a massive monument statute of Mand'alor the Ultimate, the people look to it's leader and call him Kyrayc's Mand'alor, that's my father, war hero A'den Kyr'am and Alor for my Aliit. Carson city here is the biggest city of Kyrayc currently housing just over a few million people, the city is filled with casinos, restaurants, theaters, bars, and of course Jorge's smooth spacers club right down the street, the laws are simple on Kyrayc, follow the Resol'nare, minus the Mand'alor part, if you commit murder, expect to be murdered or arrested, keep the peace, and most of all....NO MANDALORIAN EMPIRE ALLOWED ON KYRAYC. Kylo said that last line a little loud do the whole bar could hear which caused a massive wave of cheers from around the bar. Kylo smiled looking around the bar before returning his gaze to Kinaa, Kylo couldn't take his eyes off of her.

Kinaa gave Kylo a knowing look. For Mandalorians there was nothing more important than family, also nothing more primary than fighting. But to be fighting with your family?

Yes, that was a dirty mess that needed to be corrected.

“Once Maggie gets good and leathered on tihaar we’ll make up.”

The lines around her mouth softened again when the man described the features of Kyrac, specifically the legacy that his father left. She smirked at the thought that her own paterfamilias left no such heritage for her own family.

“My father is a scheming crook. It’s part of the reason I’m here. He’s the founder of Tal be Me’suum’ika (Blood of the Moon) the most powerful criminal gang on Concord Dawn.”

Kinaa waited until the roar of the crowd subsided. “What’s your grievance with the Empire?” It was likely hers too, but she wanted to hear it from his own mouth.

Kylo listened to her about her father still not able to take her eyes off of her. That's not good, my apologies about your father.

Kylo then heard her ask about the Empire, this was not just a touchy subject with him but all of Prudii Kyr'am. My Aliit was in the Empire, for a very long time, long before the current crap Mand'alor Yasha Mantis, my father trained yasha when she was nothing but a lil girl, and my father saw it as disrespect how corrupted she's making the Empire, he voiced his opinion about it, she exiled the entire Aliit. So as far as we are concerned, the empire is filled with pretenders save a few.

Kylo thought about his next words carefully. He then stood up and walked to Kinaa. So I got invited to this Halloween costume party that the CIS is hosting, I'd love for you to attend as my date? Kylo leaned in and kissed Kinaa on the cheek then awaited her reply.

“Thanks,” Kinaa said in a softer voice. While Maggie-Rae looked as though she was fixin’ to dance on the bar, her sister had a quiet fierceness about her.

She wanted to hear more about the young Yasha Mantis as second-hand rumors and what was published on the holonet was all that Kinaa had access to in terms of information on the Empire’s leader. But as her family was a sore subject with her, the change in Kylo’s voice told her that bad blood had likely been split. As she opened her mouth to ask another question related to the state of Mandalorian affairs, the man walked over to her. She didn’t shrink back, but tilted her head at him curiously until he leaned in and gave her a gentle kiss on the cheek, short beard tickling her soft skin.

“How kind,” she remarked. “I take it you have no cyar'ika in your life at the moment?” Kinaa’s answer was yes, but the same as she respected honor and the manda, she also favored fidelity. While she hadn’t really been in the market to find a lover, the blonde warrior considered Kylo a good mate - so far he was matched in confidence, grace and spirit. Hopefully his answer would lead the woman on the path of hope rather than disappointment.

Kylo shook his head no at Kinaa's question. No, never in a relationship form, women like me for...."other things". Kylo gives a crooked smile at kina. But never a relationship, but I have told them all, once a woman claims me as hers, I'm hers, I don't do the affair crap. Cheating isn't my thing. Kylo looks down at the beautiful Kinaa smiling a little at her.

“I can only imagine,” Kinaa said, blue eyes sparkling in the dim light like the first stars on the horizon during sundown. “So all I need to do is to claim you?” Brows raised in amusement thinking any man was that easily tameable, but perhaps Kylo came from the rare breed of soldier that valued family and fidelity over cheap thrills.

Still as the alcohol flowed, and she was presently single in this very moment, Kinaa thought, there’s no harm in flirting outrageously tonight. So she rose from her chair, sat Kylo down upon it and plopped right down on his lap, armor to armor which to the blondelorian was the best foreplay there was. “I will never understand why the Empire thinks it’s anything but war dogs for the Sith. There comes a time when honor is more important than credits when peace takes precedence over bloodshed. Tell me would you ever unite with the Empire if they were to denounce the Sith?”

Kylo simply nodded. You claim me, I'm yours and only yours.[/color] Kinaa sat Kylo down then crawled on top of him. Kylo wrapped his arms arms around her waist looking into her beautiful blue eyes with his hazel brown eyes. He then listened to her comment about the Empire then the question that came next.

That's the Alor's call, I don't know if my father will or not. But there's speculation certain members of the Empire want to go against the Sith. If the Yasha ever decides to break off from the Sith, she will have gained our respect, but anyone that makes a pact with the Sith, can't simply walk away. So it would probably lead to war. If the Mand'alor were to call the clans together for war, A'den might answer that call, I'm not looking forward to that, but I understand it, at that point all differences have to be put aside for the future of our culture, our people.

Kylo keeps looking into Kinaa's beautiful eyes. You couldn't tell it unless you could read emotions through eyes, but it definitely showed in Kylo's eyes that the call to war against the Sith Empire could happen one day and it worried him.
