  • Description: The Knights of Firewall are almost as old the City of Firewall. As a group born of a city dedicated to the idea of a homemade digital revolution, the Knights are not only silcers but anarchists at heart. While general opposed to the idea of authority, besides the very, very occasional actions of the Prophet, they are not totally opposed towards governments. Instead their aversion mainly focuses on mega cooperations, opposing the idea that money alone, without the listing to the voice of the people. Should allow a group to ignore rules, laws and most importantly common decency. They do not share Abyss goals to the same degree as his organization, but seeing as the Sith Lord, despite his many flaws has always acted as a dark guardian of the Outcasts of Malachor they accapt his rule as a necessary evil to keep their small shadow society secure from a hostile galaxy which does not share their ideas. Despite the fact that they have run many his operations, both in the name of the Knights and on their as part of a job, they still get underestimated fairly often, mainly because the fact that the main member base is 22 or younger.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Knights of Firewall formed shortly after the creation of Firewall. At first they were merely three people, L3gacy, Questionmark and Polterge1st that meet each other in a part of city known at slicer's bay. They started out doing odd jobs for the various groups within the Free Cities, earning a bit of money and fame along the way. At that time each of them was no older 17, and still not very interested in politics, calling themselves the Knights of Firewall more as a joke then as a symbol.

Only when Questionmark, the current girlfriend of Polterge1st suddenly disappeared the two remains members began to care for anything more then new gear and a few credits. Putting their skills to work the two discovered that Questionmark had not left on her own, but had been taken after carelessly leaving traces of her location during her last hack. The Target: A far reaching cooperate network that official was part of the alliance, but used worlds like Malachor for less then lawful experimentation. Questionmark had discovered hard proof of these experiments, and soon after was gone.

Since then the Knights began their fight, trying to find a trace of their lost friend. All they found was body, carelessly dumped in a trashcan in the Tainted City. Broken, and still in shock they reached out to the few others they knew, trying their best to take revenge, which ended in a spectacular failure.

Yet as time passed, and as the Knights went deeper into hiding, they continued their fight, knowing that no one else would or could. Sharing there findings in the cryptnet more and more found an interest in the idealistic slicers, joining into their fight without being asked to. That was the day the true Knights of Firewall were founded.

During the siege of Malachor by the Resurgent Empire, the Knights joined forces with Darth Abyss and the Tainted Chorus, leading to a strange but respectful relationship between both parties. Even Abyss A.I. Glory sees herself as part of the Knights, as does Knight Errant, a slicer now working for Abyss Inner Eye. Both make sure to keep communication between the two groups intact.
