The Blade of All
"Why would they come here? Of all planets, why here?" Ran questioned both seriously and also somehow incredulously from the cockpit of her light freighter the Onyx Runner. She poured over her information again, making sure she hadn't made a mistake in pinpointing the exact location of the missing padawans. She hadn't. The missing Jedi were on Stygeon Prime. That was a fact. Ran just hoped they'd still be alive when she found them.
The planet's freezing temperatures and perpetual blizzards were deadly, and Ran didn't even want to think about what the ancient prison complexes could hold. The final unfortunate part of the puzzle was that Stygeon Prime was firmly in the hands of the Mandalorians, arguably the greatest enemy to the Jedi since the Darkside, and yet at points in their shared histories their greatest allies against it. But what was the situation now? She couldn't be sure. The last time she had made the company of a mandalorian she had dented his helm and dropped him to his death from the seat of his basilisk war droid.
Regardless of political affiliations, Ran had to find those padawans and soon. She had just missed them on Belderone due to the duel she had with the Imperial Inquisitors that had been on the padawans' tails. She had killed one of the inquisitors while the others fled to continue pursuit. She wondered if they'd be here soon, or if they'd beaten her to the planet entirely. She knew she'd get her answer soon, as she piloted the Runner down to the planet. She landed close enough to the old prison complexes as she could without drawing the attention of anyone who might have stirred there.
Before entering into the cold and harsh lands of Stygeon Prime, Ran put on her warmest winter robes and checked for nearby lifesigns on her ship's scanners. The blizzard caused much interference. Ran got a ping from the scanners but it was unclear on how many life signs there were. The direction was the only truly usable information she could glean. So she headed northward, toward the old prison complex, using a modular cargo compartment door as a sled.
"Just hold on, padawans. I'll find you and bring you home soon enough." Ran declared with intent as the winds howled and the snow continued to cover the valleys.
