Intent: To make a holocron.
Development Thread: N/A. Generally not required for personal holocrons
Manufacturer: Kaida Taldir
Model:N/A
Affiliation: Kaida Taldir, Tygaran Alliance
Modularity: New information can only be added by Kaida
Production: Unique
Materiel: Force-imbued crystal, durasteel.
Description: Whilst recovering from her injuries sustained during the Exodus from Kaeshana, Seraph Kaida Taldir had plenty of time on her hands and needed to find a way to use it productively, beyond spending quality time with [member="Coryth Elaris"]. In their unimpeachable wisdom, her superiors decided that she should make a useful contribution to the Angelii by creating a holocron. Unsurprisingly given her personality, Kaida was less than thrilled and rejected fanciful notions such as 'creating a repository of knowledge for future soldiers to learn from'. In her opinion, they ought to learn themselves. However, equally unsurprisingly her claims were dismissed and like every good soldier she did what was she was told. And so with the help of Coryth, she constructed a holocron during her downtime.
Needless to say the gatekeeper's personality reflects that of the woman who forged it. As such, it is very grumpy, laconic and rather reluctant to give up its secrets. If pressed, the gatekepeer has a tendency of getting rather acidic and prickly. It is advised not to say anything positive about Siobhan Kerrigan since Kaida dislikes her and passed this on to the gatekeeper! The gatekeeper will not reveal information to anyone who is considered hostile to the Eldorai Matriarchy. Aeda Shaytari, Tempest and Coryth Elaris have full access to it. Those who actually get anything useful out of the holocron, should acquire knowledge in the following areas:

The gatekeeper will not reveal information to anyone who is considered hostile to the Eldorai Matriarchy. Aeda Shaytari, Tempest and Coryth Elaris have full access to it. Those who actually get anything useful out of the holocron, should acquire knowledge in the following areas:
- Cryokinesis, hydrokinesis, air manipulation and tutaminis. Kaida is a specialist in cryokinesis and hydrokinesis. Hence this is the practical field the holocron focuses on. Just what you need to learn in order to freeze someone or call down a blizzard! Also useful if your freezer stops working.
- Brief biography. This section suffers from the fact that her description of the cause of her exile from Kaeshana has been strongly censored. The account of subsequent events is largely factual, reflecting Kaida's reserved personality and reluctance to give insight into her inmost feelings. However, she is still quite acidic in her criticism of the Eldorai Old Guard who refused to modernise Kaeshana and remained wedded to delusions of inherent racial superiority.
- The history, principles, weapons, training and tactics of the Angelii. Also involves a discussion of the elemental powers they specialise in, namely ice, air, earth and fire, along with strengths and weaknesses. She supports tight discipline.
- Eldorai history. Kaida is, despite having become a lot more conformist over the years, in some ways less orthodox than her role as an Angelii officer role would imply. Thus some of her more cynical thoughts on Eldorai society - along with her atheism - shine through. Kaida was tempted to add in a specially safeguarded section elaborating on her people's true history, but ultimately censored herself and regretfully decided against it. Thus it is no surprise that the section where she talks about religion is extremely brief. Her account of the Kar'zun, the Eldorai's old rivals on Kaeshana, is brief, but surprisingly sympathetic. Her view of the Tygaran native verges into 'benevolent colonialism' territory, which is quite ironic.
- Notes some of the battles Kaida fought in. Namely Gehenna One and Two, the various civil wars on Kaeshana, OP's failed invasion of Coruscant, along with battles with the Klaxxi and a fight to take down Lotek'k as part of a pangalactic team of Masters and specialists. People who are familiar with Siobhan Kerrigan's holocron might find some of the accounts interesting since both women fought in the same battles in many cases, but had different viewpoints!
- Anti-Force User Tactics. Largely derived from Kaida's time as a Corporal in Omega Pyre, but also from her own experiences in the Angelii after she rejoined the corps and was part of the effort to adapt them to modern warfare. Plenty of talk about bolters, shatterguns and such.
- Basics of Force Healing and Force Cloak. Kaida is not specialised in either of these areas, and as such her command over these powers has its limitations, though it's a good start.
