What an interesting turn of events...
Fondor had changed her...
She could still hear herself screaming...
"HELP ME!!!!" She screamed through the burning steel and debris, the weight of the building crushing down on her armored frame. "SOMEONE PLEASE! HELP!" She could hear the workers desperately trying to get to her, she could hear voices. The alarms in her suit ringing loudly of the imminent danger, the oxygen levels finally sinking to 0% and all reserves finally drained. She struggled to breathe, it was like a weigh of a Hutt sat on her chest. She clawed at the air infront of her, tears streaming down her dirty face. There was a light that caught her attention as she gasped rapidly, a tingling sensation overcoming her as the alarms began to fade. Kessendra could barely make out the dropping number of her heart rate after the quick spike of adrenaline caused it to rise. A ringing noise overcame her hearing and her senses dulled, the light consumed her. The Great Beyond was something of beauty, was it warmth she felt in the light? A sense of peace and tranquility? It had to be because she was no longer afraid, she didn't even remember what fear was.
Then suddenly, she was jolted. Not once, but twice...and the light faded into darkness.
Kessendra's eyes opened wide as she stared at the ceiling in the dinky little apartment she stayed in on Nar Shaddaa, a decent place in the Outer Rim Territories and out of the way of main stream hyperlanes. Well, she couldn't really say that, as everyone stopped here it seemed. Nar Shaddaa became a new stomping grounds for alot of people since the One Sith consumed Coruscant in their latest wave of terror across the stars. Slowly, Kessendra would rise from her small bed, her hair disheveled and a mess as she pulled her black cami down over her exposed stomach. She yawned loudly as she slid out of the bed, the sounds of the bustling night filling her room as speeders raced by her apartment, shaking small objects and decorations she had scattered about the place. It wasn't that the apartment was a mess, it was more disorganized in such a state she no longer cared. WIth a sigh she walked barefoot over to the refresher, flipping the switch on to discover a few of the translumibulbs to be burnt out. The ones which did work would flicker a bit and eventually turn on allowing her to truly take a look at how much of a mess she did appear to be.
It was a rough night...
She turned her face to the right and grimaced at the small bruise which a vicious Trandoshan had given her out of spite, well more out of being a sore loser. Then there was the small cut from the tip of his vibro-blade before she not only broke both of his arms but several other bones. She sighed heavily and looked down to the box of empty bacta-patches and frowned. "Need more of those I guess..."
~Bulbs and bacta patches, make a list~ She thought to herself as she began brushing her teeth and preparing for the day. She would wash-up and freshen up in general, slipping on a pair of black and grey camo pants with black combat boots to match. Although the boots themselves did appear a bit worn, they still held their grip on surfaces when needed. Besides leaving on her black undergarments, she would pull free the cami from the night before and put on a fresh grey one and then her black jacket over it. Before she left the Omega Protectorate, she had her armored repaired, which remained sealed in a container onboard her freighter. In regards to weaponry, she only carried a vibro-blade and a modified DiamondBack MA-HEX20 Pistol which was slung low on her right hip. All in all, she felt comfortable with her new life, having cashed out on the old.
It was a comfortable fit.
Well, it was never too late for a drink, and a drink would probably be something she needed....and Cantinas seemed to harbor the best kinds of people to get jobs from, so it was a good start for the day anyways.
With that, she would leave her apartment, lock it up tight and head off to the Juicy Jawa.
