STANDARD FEATURES
  • Escape Pods: The Jate'kara is equipped with eight escape pods in the event of shipwide failure.
  • Weaponry: Twelve Laser Cannons and twelve Ion Cannons flank the sides of this yacht in the event an armed response is needed.
  • Shields: Deflector shields protect this ship from most external threats, though they're not impenetrable. Barrages from stronger, battle-geared vessels would bring them down eventually.
  • Cargo Hold: Fitted with four separate interior decks dedicated exclusively to hauling cargo, they're able to hold a combined cargo weight of 4,000 metric tons comfortably.
  • Hangar: Meant more for temporary usage than long-term starfighter storage, the Jate'kara's hangar can hold up to 12 starfighters comfortably.

ADVANCED SYSTEMS
  • Luxury Suites: First and foremost an entertaining vessel, hotel-like rooms are available on this liner for the use of guests, alongside a state suite for the ship's owner to reside in full-time.
  • Gambling Hall: It wouldn't be a place of fun without somewhere to lose credits. The Jate'kara's gambling hall is anything but 'lucky' as many patrons leave with empty pockets.
  • Lounge: For those special guests, a luxury lounge for Nilia's private entertaining is the highlight of the liner and is at the very top of the ship. Featuring holographic red trees for decorum and gilded grandeur, rumour has it the bar isn't too bad either.
  • Smuggler's Hold: A secret fifth cargo deck exists that is exclusively maintained for shipping illegal cargo and can hold 500 metric tons.
  • Databanks: As an information broker Nilia saw it prudent to install state-of-the-art servers aboard to protect the Sovereignty secrets she stole and the new information she collects daily. These high-end databanks are protected not only with security droids and the like but with programs meant to counteract remote and in-person slicing.

Strengths:
  • Thin & Tall: The profile of the Jate'kara is slim and elegant. It doesn't make for a very large target head-on, which gives it an advantage, whilst also being aesthetically pleasing.
Weaknesses:
  • Civilian Vessel: Whilst this ship is equipped for protection, you would fail to get serious military usage out of it. Nearly every facet of the ship is designed for pleasure and not pain. This is reflected in a slower hyperdrive, the majority of ship systems supporting the small casino and bar, and lack of barracks or ship armoury.
  • Slow: When you're enjoying yourself, why be in a hurry? Unless you're redlining the core, the Jate'kara trundles along at a leisurely pace in space. It can make sharp turns due to its small profile producing little drag, but the engines simply aren't made to be flighty and nimble.
Description: Custom-built by Kalavera Spaceworks for Nilia Saavilin and financed with stolen Sovereignty credits, the one-of-it's-kind Jate'kara is reminiscent of other Kalaveran vessels such as the famous Coronet or the illicitly-used First Light. A lanky liner, the Jate'kara requires a crew of eighty and can have up to a hundred passengers at one time within its various suites and rooms. Four cargo decks can take up to four thousand metric tons of stock and a secret smuggler deck takes five hundred. Eight escape pods are equipped for emergency evacuations and the small hanger located starboard-side has room for twelve starfighters. With a full galley to service permanent and temporary residents, resupplies for consumbales are grand and expensive affairs as only the best is served aboard.

Every inch of the interior is decorative and meant to be pleasing to the eye, and features like the exclusive lounge, probably-illegal gambling hall and certainly-illegal library of information make this more like a luxury cruise than anything else; which was the entire point. Weapons are in place to defend in the event of attack -- Twelve laser cannons and twelve ion cannons across port and starboard -- But, really, who has time for being aggressive and violent when you could sit back and relax instead?
