SETTING INFORMATION
Military Base Name: The Iron Gates
Classification: Fort/Mine
Location: Mygeeto
Affiliation: Brigadier General Drew Benneck, The Sith Empire
Population:
15,000 Soldiers (Remnants of the Iron Empire ground forces)
5,000 Staff and Officers of The Sith Empire
3,000 Droid Mining Workforce
Accessibility: The sheer cliffs and ice covered terrain makes the Fort nearly inaccessible by foot. With the year round snowstorms even the best pilots may have difficulty landing their craft anywhere in the Mountains. The only clear route through the Crystal Mountain Range is the traditional path, a narrow passage way beaten down by centuries of traffic. The Iron Gate is placed right in the middle of this road at the heart of the Mountain Range. Various access points to the Mines exit shafts are located throughout the land and are kept heavily guarded.
Description: Nestled between the two highest peeks in the Crystal Mountains lies a wall unyielding to the ever constant blizzard. Six stories tall it stands blocking the only clear path through the treacherous mountain range. Because of its location on the planet's axis, the area receives very little sunlight.
