Description: Tyr needed to create an armor that could provide protection while retaining flexibility for himself and any others of his species who wished to leave their homeworld. He looked into some designs and materials used by the people in the rest of the galaxy as inspiration. He based his armor off of existing designs and added Tel'varn crafting traditions into it. He created a medium armor using leather as the base material for it and augmented it by sewing durasteel plates between two layers of leather. The plates are situated to cover the upper arms, the upper legs, and torso. The joints were not included to retain mobility of movement at the expense of the added protection of metal. The fore arms, shins, hands, and feet are covered in large plates of molded durasteel. The wrists in particular were further designed to include the option for attachments to be added. The helmet was made in much the same way that the areas like the arms were. The head was also given an advanced filtration system that can filter out not just toxin materials but also most diseases and viruses. The entire armor is vacuum sealed to allow use in space as well as an air tank that can last up to 20 minutes. The helmet was further given a HUD, night vision, and a communication unit for convenience and use.

The Hunter's Hide as it was deemed by it's creator Tyr is able to be provide a blend of flexibility and protection while losing little of one's mobility. The design is simple with little complexity in it, which allows it to be easily repaired by simply replacing plates, leather, and components with new ones when damaged. This also makes the armor easy to maintain. The filtration system built into the helmet was meant to keep the wearer safe from possible infection but also serves the dual purpose of allowing it to allow the wearer to go into hazardous environments. The armor was made to be vacuum sealed with an emergency air tank for much the same reason as the filtration system was added, and so allows the armor to be usable in space. This combo makes the armor to be versatile so it can be used in most situations and environments.

While The Hunter's Hide grants many benefits to those who use it, it's emphasis on retaining mobility means it does not offer as much raw protection as it might otherwise provide. The use of plates means there are gaps, while small, that can be penetrated more easily. The joints of the armor are particularly more vulnerable than a normal armor would be. The simplicity in the design also means that the armor can be easy for an opponent to understand and exploit if they are experienced enough. The armor can also become hot due to the use of leather and durasteel, so overheating can become an issue in higher levels of heats.

Solid.

One thing that I would like to see changed:

Since it is durasteel, I would prefer if the weight is increased to 14kg to answer to the quality rating of 7.

-Or-

Drop the quality to 6 and you could even lower the weight to 10 to retain its purpose of keeping the wearer much more mobile.
