An ancient Sith Lord and Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Andeddu was not known for his offensive might and success in battles or wars, but rather his massive leaps in the art of preserving one's consciousness after death and his mastery of illusions and sith sorcery. Made famous for his invention of the ability known as transfer essence, the rumors, tales, and legends of an ancient Sith Lord that could overcome death spread like wildfire, all of which referred to Andeddu.
Known as a coward to his peers, Darth Andeddu created his holocron as a full repository of his knowledge and intelligence. In order to keep his rivals from obtaining his knowledge, however, the Sith Lord hid the holocron within his tomb and combined his essence with the artifact, ensuring his knowledge 'died' with him. This didn't last quite as long as he hoped, as the holocron was discovered by a number of people throughout the centuries, most of whom were Sith Lords at the time, such as Darth Bane, Darth Krayt, and Darth Tyranus.
In the year of 843 ABY the portion of the holocron pertaining to the art of transfer essence was made inaccessible during a confrontation between Darth Vitium & Darth Carach and Jedi Masters Corvus Raaf & Connor Harrison. Six years later, in the year 849 ABY, the Holocron of Heresies was discovered and taken by the duo of Darth Vupua & Darth Veles on Tatooine, from Corvus Raaf's home.
